It had already been a month since miss Lucy stayed in this place. She needed a job anyway due to her loss. It wasn't her thing to wonder about searching for a job, but it seemed there was no choice now and besides, she hated being idle and being stuck at home. Julie was enjoying the little time spent with her except for the fact that her mother was bringing up the job search which would keep miss Lucy away from her. Miss Lucy looked up Julie as usual, she was a celebrity at home and only few people here could recognize her besides, she avoided any form of recognition, where was she going for job haunting, she changed her mind and decided to stay back hoping that a nice job would come searching for her, after all, it's just temporarily before time goes by, and she returns with Julie home. Julie heard her door open wildly, she was surprised miss Lucy was waving to her.
“Change of plan, let's go take a walk” she beckoned and Julie jumped happily, at least she wasn't going to be trapped inside today, and she dares not ask where they were heading to either. Miss Lucy and Julie walked around the streets of Django in silence which wasn't fun to Julie because she couldn't express what she feels about this new place of hers, recently she attempts asking how Alexandra and the rest fared, but the answer was still pending. Julie waved at children who played along the streets happily. Miss Lucy beckoned on her not to associate with them since she was of high class and these kids weren't watchable to them. Julie often wonders why her mother haven't come off her nightmare, she glanced at her outfit, they were looking overly dressed for just her outing but miss Lucy believes in looking good, but Julie felt this walk was more than just a stroll. Maybe she wanted to show off inspite of loosing everything according to the report given to her by Frederico which left her chattered, acclimatizing into another level of living which was the middle class was hard on her part. She was staring at miss Lucy who held her hand and mistakenly bumped into someone, Julie wasn't concentrating on the pathway.
“I'm sorry…” she apologized, picking up what fell from the man's pocket.
“It's okay” he replied with a smile. Miss Lucy had a glimpse of what fell to the ground and smirked at the man.
“Nice to meet a beautiful goddess like you Mrs” he said to miss Lucy who fumed at him.
“It's miss Lucy” she snapped and Julie giggled. Miss Lucy was just one rude personality, and she showed it to anyone who approaches her,
“Nice meeting you…what a lovely daughter you…”
“Yes, I know, you don't have to sing it in my ears! And next time watch where you're going” she cautioned walking past him. The man brought out a picture and glanced at it, then he turned to see miss Lucy who had suddenly stopped her steps alongside with Julie, who wasn't happy with the way miss Lucy responded to the man. She swiftly turned to gaze at the man, who avoided her stare. With two-step forward, she faked a smile at him and said;
“Seems like you got a job vacancy?” She questioned acting nice out of the blue, which startled the man.
“Literally yes… I'm an agent and…”
“Enough of the long talks… what's the job all about?” She cut in studying his appearance while Julie kept fuming inside, wondering when this topic was going to lead to miss Lucy. Now she wished she never bumped into this agent man. The man chuckled and brought out a business card to her.
“You seem good for the job” he complimented.
“I'm good in everything and that company of yours should be glad a superstar is coming it's way and within time, you would ask me for an autograph because…” Her praises were interrupted when Julie began to cough, she knew that all these praises wouldn't end yet and needed to save this man time because it was clear with his facial expressions that he wasn't interested in knowing.
“Sorry dear” the man sympathies and miss Lucy brought out water from the picnic basket for Julie to drink. After a while of calming her down, she waved a goodbye to the man while miss Lucy walked her home seemed the patrol didn't walk out as planned because right now, Julie was in the garden looking annoyed, the poor girl really had plans for their outing and then this strange man out of nowhere showed up with a job and to worsen it, it pays well. Miss Lucy had always liked to control others, but how would it be working under someone she was yet to see? Nevertheless, there were still some persons that would be under her and of course, it was just going to be a matter of a month or two depending on when she rectifies the issue on ground and that company better prepares for her because it would be last moments with miss Lucy. She was lost in her fantasy, so was Julie, they ended up getting a picnic in the large garden.
“So, what do you think about this place?” Miss Lucy asked, breaking the long silence between them. Since the encounter with that agent, Julie haven't spoken to her.
“Great” Julie replied with a thumb up and a sad face, even her tone was moody.
“Not this damn house…the company” she corrected pointing at the skyscraper that was drawn on the card,
“Great” she responded again sadly.
“It would also be a good place to start a business, I would like to buy it if the boss is ready to sell it… what's your opinion?”
“Always have high hopes for a living” she snapped with lack of interest for what she was posing to her.
“I'm not going to ask what's wrong with you because I don't care now…but just know everything I'm doing is for you!” She said, almost yelling at Julie who pulled a long face.
“I was expecting that as usual” Julie mused.
“I know you said something, but I don't care!” Miss Lucy snapped opening a fruit juice while Julie scoffed at her.
