A Lamborghini drove into the gates of the company. Some employees gazed at it through the window, since this skyscraper had it's building made of glass. Most people guessed it must be the boss, since several cars drove behind it. Miss Lucy stood up from where she sat, wanting to join in the anticipation for who was gracing the scene. A young man dressed in suit stepped out, he was tall and handsome. Miss Lucy scoffed as she studied him.
“Well built and good-looking, wealthy… I think I like this job” she thought with evil ambitions. Miss Lucy would have waited to have a word with this man whom everyone assumed to be the boss, but she has to leave for Julie's sake. The young man walked in and address everyone calmly as the new boss which made him win their heart at first sight, especially the ladies. Miss Lucy wasn't interested in the long speech given by this man, and she pressed her way out through the workers, one of the workers who go by the name Lucas had tea in a tray and was going to serve the manager. He usually acts like the waiter by serving tea to his seniors. Lucas was passing by at the same time miss Lucy was setting out to pass through. He stood opposite their boss to see him clearly and also salute his arrival. Lucas smiled at the boss shyly and when he attempted to introduce himself, miss Lucy pushed him mistakenly and the coffee in his hand splashed on the boss suit.
“I'm so sorry” he apologized, trying to clean his suit, but the boss refused him. Miss Lucy was still behind Lucas confused if to stay or leave besides she was at fault yet no one was going to false the words from her mouth. The boss took a glimpse of her and then at Lucas.
“The lady behind…who are you?” He asked, and she placed her palm on her chest.
“Well I'm new here and your secretary” she posed with pride. Everyone had been dismissed to their post of work and was busy.
“It's not going to reduce you if you apologize…” He muttered, collecting a hankie which Lucas had handed over to him to wipe the stain.
“Well it was accidentally so how was it my fault?” She snapped, claiming rights while the boss scoffed.
“I hope we get along” he thought and then smiled at her. Miss Lucy knew that smile could be dangerous, but she composed herself.
“Yes, we have no choice than to get along” she responded and waved a goodbye. The manager was watching the boss from his office, and the boss's gaze fell on him. The clothes which was stain was replaced with a shirt, while his suit was given to the dry cleaners to do away with it. The boss came to the manager's office, so they could discuss.
“I don't like her!” The manager protested, endeavoring to calm down. The boss glanced at him and smirked.
“Neither do I, but I got my reasons and just follow orders Austin” the boss snapped carrying a book that contains all the employees records.
“Why doesn't her record states her profession?” He questioned curious.
“Well sir, I don't know, I just hired her without questions, but she uses her same name” Austin replied pointing a computer at the computer that sat on his desk.
“Where did you find her?”
“It was accidentally hopefully while I patrol the street with the aim of asking residents around if they had clue of miss Lucy, her child ran into me” he explained as the boss sat down. The manager was already liking this new boss, he was quite different from his brothers and allowed him expressed himself. It was the first time meeting him face to face,, but they usually chatted, and it was all centered on finding miss Lucy. It was obvious that their chat started recently because the boss required his help abruptly. The boss left for his office while the manager kept fuming over the new employee.
Miss Lucy got home a bit late since her new place of work was far from home. Julie was excited, at least now she could feel the cool air in the garden. She noticed her mother wasn't smiling or jovial, and she needed to know how her first day in the company was. Julie ran to the garden to get some flowers to present them to miss Lucy as a congratulatory gift. Miss Lucy mused at them, but she didn't want to Julie to feel bad, so she accepted them and kept the flowers on the dinning table
“Next time, it's best to just get me a diamond as a gift, okay” miss Lucy advised and Julie sighed sadly.
“Julie, listen to this story” miss Lucy said and Julie scoffed silently, she knew her stories were about what happened to her lately at the office. Miss Lucy handed over the meal she bought to Julie, who thanked her and placed them on the dinning table beside the flowers.
“What's the story, mom?”
“Yes, someone was passing with a coffee and an innocent, beautiful and sexy lady accidentally pushed him and the coffee poured on the boss who was giving a boring speech, who was at fault?” She rapped while Julie rubbed her ears to judge the case,
“Mother did the lady apologize?”
“It was a mistake, so why should she?”
“Well it's just for formalities to prove you never meant it” Julie responded and miss Lucy scoffed.
“Do you ever support me?” She snapped and Julie grimaced.
“Did the coffee server say anything to you?”
“No… that's the end of the story” she beckoned, walking towards her room. Julie shrugged her shoulder. How long were they going to live in this place? Because she wishes to return to loss Angeles already. Julie was missing everything over there and wishes that the job doesn't last long because even here, there was no freedom for her.
