Miss Lucy kept pacing to and fro, waiting for her boss. He was taking time in that meeting, damn meeting, that she even wonders if they liked what she composed on the pieces of paper. At last, he was out and pacing towards the office when miss Lucy appeared before him. He scrutinized her and sighed.
“What do you want?”
“How did the meeting go?” She questioned, staring at the file in his hand.
“If that's what your problem is, then you've got no answers” he replied gesturing to her to leave his path. She moved aside, making mockery faces behind him, and then she gasped.
“Now I remember… I want you to give me a leave just for today” she said running behind him. She bumped into him when he stopped walking.
“No…you just resumed and miss or whatever…stop acting like you own this place and just follow orders…” He paused and finally muttered
“Be polite also!”. Miss Lucy blinked her eyes several times, attempting to accept he said, but it seems like her ego wouldn't let the better off her. She inhaled deeply and went to her desk. If no one was going to listen to her, then she would just resign. Miss Lucy brought out a piece of paper and began to write a resignation letter. She was almost done but stopped when an evil thought came to her mind. She glanced at her boss, whose eyes were fixed on the computer, and smiled. Abigail, a worker, happened to be passing by when she saw miss Lucy smiling at her boss. She had suspected this lady had a kind of relationship with the boss because they both got out of the car earlier together and late at that too. Miss Lucy's gaze fell on Abigail, who shuddered and walked away.
“Pokenosers… I haven't even spoken to Alexandra yet” she thought, tearing off the paper angrily. How was she going to explain to Julie that she wouldn't come?
“She's coming, she's not coming…” Julie chanted, plucking out the petals of a flower which she had inside her room”
“She's not” a voice completed. She narrowed her eyebrows as she looked below the window of her room. A boy her age was waving at her. She closed her window at him and scoffed.
“I hate Intruders!” She snapped and looked at her flower, it was remaining the last petal which ended at" she's not coming” she opened her window again but didn't see the boy, and she sighed. But how did he get through the gates.
“Through the fence!” The boy replied from behind her, and she screamed.
“Shh! I'm just a thief…so let me get what I want, and I would leave” he confessed looking at her room. She quickly picked her phone to dial the police number, and a girl who was climbing to her window bawled at her not to.
“How did you get in here?” She questioned shaking.
“Through your windows of course” the boy replied picking up her dresses.
“Wow, you must be a princess!” The girl exclaiming, walking to meet the boy.
“Don't touch anything belonging to me!” She threatened pointing a finger at them, but they teased her.
“Aren't you too young for these?” She said, and the thieves laughed.
“We're just having fun!” The girl replied, munching some popcorn that sat on her cupboard.
“What's fun about stealing? Go away! Or I would call the police!” She pressed on, running to her window.
“Pretty princess…they wouldn't believe you!” The boy mocked, giving his partner a high-five. Julie looked at the height of her window, how could they have climbed that high?
“Thanks for your charity, but we would be heading out now” the girl said with a handful of goodies.
“Drop that!” She ordered, throwing some of her pillows at them.
“Stop it girl!” The boy threatened attempting to dodge the pillows.
“What will she know, she has everything” the girl replied and Julie stopped throwing pillows?
“What about your parents?”
“We've got none” they chorused sitting on her bed.
“So…you…guys…are… orphans” she stressed, and they nodded.
“Great then, promise me you wouldn't steal, and then I would supply you with food every day” she beckoned like a mother and they both laughed.
“How would you do that when you're looked up like Rapunzel?” The girl buttressed, handing over a Burger to the boy. Julie groaned at them.
“Would you listen to me or get arrested?” She ordered and there was silence.
“You would sneak in at the same time” she explained.
“Really? It's 1am… what's going to happen to us in the morning!” The boy asked, confused.
“We fast I guess” the girl muttered lying on the bed.
“Stand up… I don't share my bed!” Julie snapped, and the girl stood up with indifference.
“As I was saying, for the morning, I would talk to my mother about…just pray though that she accepts”
“Argh! Your conditions are boring!” The boy hollered, jumping up on her bed.
“Stop that… I hate it!” She yelled at them.
“Come on Charles, let's leave” the girl called, and they ran to the window.
“Where are you guys going now?”
“Somewhere, anywhere just for fun” Charles replied climbing down the window.
“Bye princess” the girl muttered.
“It's Julie!” Julie snapped, pissed off by the disaster these two caused in her room. She glanced at her bed where she kept her phone, and it was gone.
“Shit! Those kids took it!” She rants, glancing down her window. They were still there.
“Wait!” She ordered and they glanced at her.
“Do you want to come along, pretty princess?” Charles beckoned. She closed her eyes and nodded.
“Now we have a new friend” the girl exclaimed.
“I can't climb down!” She cried, opening her eyes.
“Calm down…we came along with a little help” Charles replied, showing her a rope.
“Just do as instructed”. The girl yelled back gesturing to Julie whose heart was racing. Maybe she should just back out.
