The night was cold, and miss Lucy waved at Brian as he dropped her off. It was unlike her to say the word thank you, but he made her say that. She was tensed for leaving Julie late by this time and went she got to Julie's room, she was already asleep. Julie must have felt tired of roaming about the street with the two kids whom she made friends with. She didn't know her way back, but these two acted like guardian and escorted her home with her phone. Miss Lucy gazed at Julie, who was cuddling a pillow round her arms.
“I need some rest also” she suggested and as stepped out to leave, Julie jerked up from her slumber. She must have had a nightmare.
“What's wrong? A bad dream?” Miss Lucy asking, drawing close to her.
“Yes, a scary one…”
“What's it about?” Miss Lucy questioned with sleepy eyes.
“That you got arrested” Julie wailed shivering, but miss Lucy had dozed off on the seat she sat on close to Julie not minding if to comfort the scared Julie who smirked at her.
“You never believe any of my nightmare” Julie rants with a hiss as she jumped down the bed to wake her mother who shuddered from her sleep.
“Your room is that way” she beckoned pointing at her door and miss Julie tottered to her room without saying a word to Julie. Julie banged her door as she leaned on it, crying. She was scared, but miss Lucy wouldn't understand because she doesn't care. Why would she be returning late instead of having some time with her?
“I miss you, Alexandra” she confessed.

Alexandra gazed at miss Lucy's mansion with grief. Where had miss Lucy gone to that she had forgotten to return? Her relatives were taking over everything that is hers yet, she wasn't moved, and who was she running away from? And who masterminded the chaos? Now everyone believes that the one-time hero was dead. Alexandra wasn't going to let this die down, she was going to clamor for justice for miss Lucy. Alexandra left where she stood and headed home. Peter stood at the balcony and watched Alexandra as she walked away. He went in and decided to make a call.
“You know what to do” he echoed on the phone and switched it off immediately after those words. If Alexandra wasn't going to give up, then he was going to make her give. She was already at a distance away from the mansion and was boarding a car when her husband called from the hospital, giving her the information about their son's state of health. Marvin had been ill for some time and was gradually responding to treatment. He was meant to be discharged this day, but when his father came to pick him up, it was realized that the child was dead. Alexandra hurried as quickly as she can and arrived at the hospital. She found her husband sitting outside the ward, pained.
“How did this happen?” Alexandra asked as tears flowed from her eyes. Her husband glared at her while standing up.
“Really? How could you, Alexandra? Did you barely spend time with your family? You wouldn't have even come to see Marvin if I didn't inform of his death!” He rants at her. Alexandra walked pass him and entered the ward Marvin was, she covered her mouth due to shock and fell on the ground.
“Marvin!” She cried shaking him to wake up and then suddenly, her phone beamed. She glanced at it and saw a message popped out.
“Hope you like the surprise?” It wrote. She screamed and bashed her phone to the ground and held her son by the shoulder as her husband walked in.
Both mother and daughter kept staring at the meal before them, each scared of who was going to eat first. Mrs Lucy picked up her spoon and pointed it at Julie.
“What are you waiting for? Dig in” she beckoned and Julie swallowed hard. Miss Lucy had never prepared a meal and all of a sudden, she prepares on this morning, who was she attempting to impress? Julie had already lost her appetite because the meal was burnt.
“You” she replied, turning her gaze from the dinning table and miss Lucy scoffed.
“I put in my best for you, and you're just going to sit around not eating!” She barked, dropping the spoon.
“Have you been able to reach out to miss Alexandra?” Julie diverted, which made miss Lucy fumed.
“She's fine stop ask of others who doesn't ask about you okay? Let's live like simple people for now” she advised and Julie stood up,
“Hey you brat! Stop walking out on your mother!” Miss Lucy retorts, standing up too.
“Don't you have work today?” Julie snapped with a Stern look at miss Lucy.
“Where does she get such courage from?” She murmured aloud, and Julie scoffed.
“You're late!”. Miss Lucy glared at Julie, who ran quickly to her room and banged the door.
“Oh, she's giving me goosebumps! Soon she would beat me up!” miss lucy lamented walking back to the dinning.
“Alexandra?” She muttered. Miss Lucy didn't even have her contact information, since she was using a new line now. She glanced at the wall clock hanged in the sitting room and sighed.
“When would I ever go early?”
The chvala company had its worker's Meeting at the boss office and only one person was yet to make it. Everyone aired their opinion on goods to sell and models to use for their advertisement. Miss Lucy barged into the office, but by then, it had been concluded and everyone was leaving. She stood beside the door without saying anything until everyone had gone, remaining she and her boss. Miss Lucy faked a smile and then sat opposite him.
“I'm not too late, am I?” She questioned with uncertainty. Brian was flipping over various paper that laid on the table and found her write-up.
“You submitted your suggestion to the manager quite early this morning through an email, right?” He asked and she bites her lips.
