It's been two months after miss Lucy's disappearance or perhaps death, so to say as everything was still normal only that some fans still mourn her death, while haters kept clamoring for justice over two lives that were lost because of her. Gorgenia was now the talk of the city as she had risen to fame all of a sudden and worked hard in her field. Miss Lucy's companies were owned by her relatives, and they were the worst at running it. Alexandra gave up on setting out to figure out who was behind miss Lucy's misery after the death of her son.
It was a windy day and also late at night. Miss Lucy could be seen parading on the street and musing aloud to herself. She got to a grocery store but was already locked, and she made up her mind to leave for home when a gunshot was heard. Miss Lucy closed her ears and fringed with fear where she stood, the hoodie cap which was covering her face fell off and as she took a step to leave that place, miss Lucy saw someone in the dark taking pictures of her. She ran after the being but couldn't catch up with him. Another gunshot was heard again and miss Lucy began a race from there. Her heart skipped with fear with a lot of thought ringing in her mind. She was now a far distance away from when she saw someone who looks like Brian ahead of her. Miss Lucy sighed with relief and walked in a haste to reach out to him. Brian was perplexed to see miss Lucy yelling out to him and panting as well. She drew closer to him and tried to catch her breath.
“What are you doing here? Are you trying to stalk on me” he asked her and she shook her head faintly.
“Let's leave this place, someone is after me” she wailed looking back.
“How do you expect me to believe you?” He argued, and she felt furious but didn't show it, rather she was sober.
“No one ever believes me…” She paused and widen her eyes at him.
“Julie!” She called, running away from him and heading home. Brian glanced at her and groaned while calling out to her to wait, so he could drive her home, after all he was waiting for someone, but the person seems not to arrive. He drove her home, and immediately she hopped down, she began to call out to Julie. Brian followed her inside since she requested him to. He observed where she lived and began jotting it down on his phone.
“Mummy?” Julie replied, walking out of her room with a half awaken eyes.
“Oh my dear!” She wailed, hugging her.
“You're safe” miss Lucy wailed while Brian watched mother and daughter's reunion.
“Whose that?” Julie whispered to her mother, referring to Brian who kept glancing at his wristwatch.
“Hi little one…nice to meet you” he greeted and she's walking pass miss Lucy towards him.
“I'm Julie and I guess you're miss Lucy's boss?” she introduced and Brian peeked at miss Lucy.
“Julie, come along with me… let's put you to bed”
“Mom you know I can't sleep, and your stories are horrible!” She yelled and walked into her room.
“You have a daughter” Brian said, and she sighed.
“A stubborn one at that…she makes my blood shoot up!” Miss Lucy complained angrily, as though he was going to do anything about it.
“It's not like you're any better because you're a pain in the neck too” he commented as she glared at him.
“Thanks for bringing me home…goodnight” she recited as though those lines of hers were memorized.
“Who were those after you? Do you have an idea?”
“No, how about the favor I requested?” She asked him.
“I got a reply about the state of everything you left behind, it's in a flux” Brian explained and miss Lucy sat down on the cushion and scoffed.
“Just going as planned” she thought while chuckling silently.
“You indeed were a celebrity, but what made you leave?” He asked, but she didn't give a reply.
“I'm sorry to say, but our relationship ends in the office. This is my home and I don't answer any questions by you…thanks for your compliance”
“And what if I can help?” He beckoned, swallowing hard and staring at her.
“Mom! Is he gone?” Julie intruded in their conversation.
“That little wench! She won't let me be!” Miss Lucy lamented as she turned her gaze at Brian.
“Let me walk you to the gate” miss Lucy whispered.
“There's no need… goodnight” he concluded and left.
“Was I rude?”
“Yes you were…maybe he was attempting to help… he's a nice boss” Julie replied coming towards her.
“Were you eavesdropping? How could you? Stop that! It's wrong, and why are you defending him anyway?”
“You know I never support you” Julie soliloquized and giggled. At least someone keeps her mother this late at night and besides she was also becoming polite, just who was this boss? Possibly an angel.
“Stop blushing… don't tell me you've fallen in love?” Miss Lucy scolded and Julie smirked at her.
“Mom I'm little for that” she protested running to her room and then banged the door. Miss Lucy stood up and walked to the gate, she could see Brian entering his car. He hasn't gone yet.
“There's something wrong” she muttered, and quickly she paced towards him. Brian was about to start the engine of his car when he found miss Lucy standing in front of the bonnet.
“Not again” he wailed gesturing to her to leave. She walked over to his side and knocked on the glasses.
“I know who was following me now”
“Was that why you stopped me? We can discuss that tomorrow” he snapped.
“Why are you interested in knowing?” She pressed on as he scoffed.
“Lady my company matters okay, what if this being has something to do with it?”
