Miss Lucy paced to and fro in her room, pondering on how she was going to petition her resignation letter to her boss. Julie was excited because her mother was going to take her to the office. At last, she was going to see her mother's boss again.
“Mom I'm ready!” She yelled from the sitting room.
“You look gorgeous, dear!” Miss Vanessa praised. She was the maid for Julie.
“Thanks!” Julie appreciated waiting for her mother to come out. Miss Lucy stepped out of the room and faked a smile, surprised at why Julie was excited about visiting the office.
“Don't overreact, you're going to hate it” miss Lucy snapped and after a while, they waved goodbye to Vanessa. Vanessa glanced at the window and saw that this two were out of sight. She quickly brought out her phone and texted
“They've left, what next?”

Everyone was already adoring this little girl who spoke with them with such eloquence and respect and was quite different from her mother. Although, most of them were surprised she had a child because she looked young in appearance or was just covering up with make-up. Julie waited nervously to see the boss. Her mother walked her to the desk and kept admiring the whole place. It was as big as her mother's company but quite famous than her mother's. There he was, the man of her dreams. Julie didn't know when she began to derive attention to this boss, or perhaps she knew. Julie could recall when she was coming back from school, her chauffeur alongside maid was meant to pick her up but no one showed up. She was sad and waited patiently, but then a hero showed up. Her mother's boss had come over to see the principal of the school and as the daughter of an actress, a few tricks would do to gain his attention. As he was coming out of the office, she bumped into him and then apologized as though it was a mistake. He smiled at her and asked if anyone was coming for her. Julie shooked her head hoping that he does the duty which was to take her home and he did so. On their way going, he kept asking her questions about her mom and even treated her nice by buying some snacks that was according to her will.
“Hi little friend!” Brian called, eluding her thoughts.
“Hi hero!” She replied, hugging him. Miss Lucy smirked at them both, now she was left behind.
“Hope someone is treating you delightfully” he whispered
“Yes literally” she whispered back and miss Lucy attempted to hear what they were chatting about.
“Come along with me” he beckoned, and she ran along. Miss Lucy followed suit but Julie slam the door on her face.
“Ouch!” She groaned, and Julie blotted out her tongue at her.
“You little witch!” She yelled, and Brian tried not to laugh at her.
“Wow so massive just like mom's office back as Los Angeles” Julie commented inspecting the whole place.
“So what do you like to do most” he asked as she was arranging some books, but he stopped her from doing so.
“Well, reading and playing” she replied folding her palm.
“You don't look like someone who has time to play”. Their conversation was interrupted by miss Lucy, who stormed in and smiled at them.
“What did I miss?” She snapped and Julie glared at her,
“Stop miss Lucy, you're interfering!” Julie cautioned folding her arms.
“You…we have a score when we get home” she gestured while Julie hid behind Brian.
“Stop scaring her, act nice as your face looks” Brian defended and Julie smiled wickedly.
“B.o.s.s?” Miss Lucy stressed, gesturing to Julie to leave while they discuss. Brian rubbed his ears, acting like though he didn't understand the words she stressed.
“It seems your mother doesn't have something to say, and I'm less busy today…so…” He paused and irked at Julie, who leaped for joy.
“Let's hang out!” She completed the statement.
“Julie? What did I tell you about going out with strangers?” She blasted, not minding if Brian is right in front of her.
“Mom you're being rude, he's your boss” Julie defended and Brian nodded.
“Someone could come along if they got trust issues” Brian added while Julie frowned at miss Lucy.
“I was going to come along either way” miss Lucy snapped, gazing at her fingers as Julie held Brian on the hand.
“But…” Brian posed and miss Lucy raged inside with fury.
“No buts please” she murmured silently. All his 'buts' were terrifying and annoying, what would he probably have her do again?
“There are no buts for today” she beckoned with pleading eyes, and he grinned at her act. It felt like she was going to cry right there.
“Let's get going already” Julie reminded, shaking Brian's hand. The three stepped out and Julie suggested they hang out at an amusement park, which was where she loved to go during the weekend with miss Lucy, and it was fun going out with someone extra. Her crush, which was her mother boss. Oh! how she wished he was a part of their family. It was more like a picnic because Julie requested for a mat which they bought on their way here. Just like miss Lucy, Julie was a shopping princess and wanted everything according to her wish. Miss Lucy spread the mat, to her, she was like a maid before these two and hated how they made her did things which she hardly does. Miss Lucy arranged the various meals on the mat too, as both Julie and Brian were taking pictures around beautiful features in this park. It was an impromptu picnic which meant Brian wasn't part of the family and Julie just brought out the idea of having one but both Brian and Lucy objected to it within them, not to her face, though.
“All set!” She yelled at them, feeling exhausted by the little arrangements she did.
