Brian stood by his balcony strolling his eyes around, and it met miss Lucy who was walking slowly like a criminal. He smirked at her and entered the house, so he could open the door for her
“You came quickly” he said while opening the door.
“Yes because I want everything snappy” she petitioned, not looking at his face.
“Okay come on in”
“No I prefer outside, perhaps the garden”
“You never can tell whose watching” he reprimanded stepping back as he left the door opened for her. He scoffed at her attitude towards making him feel like the bad guy. He wonders how she looks so perfect on screen but naive in reality. Mrs Lucy stepped inside the house, holding firm her hand which was crossed over her shoulder.
“Do you care for anything?” He requested walking up to the fridge,
“No” she snapped, and he grimaces at her.
“Why am I here?” She furthered, glancing at him.
“It's Don Rodger, you are quite familiar with him, right?” He began as she scoffed.
“I think I need something to drink now”
“Go and take it” he bawled, annoyed all of a sudden while she made jest of him behind his backs.
“Why do you ask? Is he your business partner?” She questions carrying a fruit juice. Brian was silent for a while, and he nodded at her.
“Well he was my sponsor though, we weren't that close too” she replied, swallowing hard as she held tightly the fruit juice. She let her eyes travel through Brian's body and then stopped at his chest, which was partly outside because he unbuttoned his shirt a little. Brian observed that her eyes was fixed on his chest which made him quickly button up and miss Lucy closed her eyes ashamed of what she was doing.
“How many years did you work with him?” He furthered, and she raised three of her fingers to indicate to him. Brian could feel that she was in trouble over something because she wasn't comfortable any longer.
“Do you want to leave?” He asked unexpectedly and she nodded, opening her eyes.
“But you just got here…”
“I can't stay any longer” she replied, almost crying because she couldn't control herself any longer.
“There something you want to say? I might help”. Miss Lucy gazed at him, how was he going to react when she says she needed him on bed? Wouldn't he find her cheap? She bow her head and blew air out of her mouth slowly.
“There's nothing, then stop acting all cringy and just listen to what I want to say, besides, it's going to help you in some ways”
“But I'm not ready to hear those words”
“Who's the boss? Just listen beside, I'm not requesting but ordering you, got that!” He snapped and she scoffed.
“Do you ever understand? You just judge people base on their appearance… I don't want to do what I would regret” she muttered sadly standing up. Brian stood up to try to stop her from leaving. She was acting all prideful and never listens. As of recent, he thought she had chanced because of her sudden silence nature, but it seems as if it was just an act. Miss Lucy reached for the door and was about to open it, but Brian held her by the arm and shoved her to face him and accidentally, her lips touched his and they both widened their eyes at each other. Brian terminated the kiss and sighed.
“Sorry that was a mistake” he apologized, Brian glanced at her eyes which was saying something.
“Oh” he muttered letting go of her arm which made her sigh with relieve.
“I was just saying that, you shouldn't go, I believe you have what I need” he stated returning to his seat.
“I don't think so” she muttered, placing her back on the door.
“Yes you do…” He paused while opening the laptop that sat on the table.
“What sort of information do you want?”
“Where he resides presently” he said as she paced to the cushion opposite Brian to have a seat.
“Indonesia as of recent” she replied grazing the fruit juice that sat on the table. Miss Lucy kept avoiding eyes contact with him, at least this was going to mellow her erotic desires.
“Do you have any beef with him or something relating to that?”
“No, why the question?”
“Nothing much… you're my secretary and I need to know about your relationship with my business partner, just in case conflict arises when he sees you” he beckoned with fixed eyes on the computer, and she began to cough. Brian quickly grabbed a bottle of water and gave it to her while stroking her back to relax and not panic. Miss Lucy nodded with indifference though, as the sudden care this boss of hers was showing seemed rather suspicious. She shoved his hand away.
“I don't need all that formality”
“Neither do I need someone to drop dead here!” He hollered, leaving to take his seat.
“We just stopped talking” she replied and Brian folded his hand curiously, tapping his feet on the ground. He was attempting to figure how this man was related to Mrs Lucy, but she wasn't telling him the real story.
“Is there anything you want to be to know that's killing you desperately, and you need someone to hear you out?” He questions again.
“What difference does it make?” She responded, staring at him.
“It's not like you can help either way” she furthered, sniffing. She was perplexed and needed some fresh air and without him noticing, miss Lucy stormed out in rage. Brian raised his head slowly and scoffed.
“You would come running back either way” he murmured, shutting down the system. Mrs Lucy ran towards the street road, she tried to avoid tears from dropping off her face. Everything was just not right, and it might never be. When she was a distance away from house, she stared at his building which was the tallest in the area only to realize that he was watching her the balcony upstairs.
