SELENE
I opened up the backseat and sat down angrily leaving the door open, I honestly didn't want to start off on a bad foot with him but he's an asshole, a big asshole and I don't do well with assholes.
"But he's hot tho" Eliana said in a dreamy voice, adding to my frustration.
"That's not the point," I said angrily and put up a wall between the both of us before she could utter another annoying word. I looked at him from the side mirror and he stood there glaring at me through the mirror while patting his hair, I smirked at him and looked away.
After a while I heard the driver's door open up and he slid into the car "I think you should close the door if you don't want to fall off" he said calmly looking at me from the center mirror, but I could see the anger in his eyes.
I smiled at him innocently and scooted to the other side of the car "If you don't want your car door to spoil, I suggest you go close it yourself" I said slyly batting my lashes at him, he glared at me from the mirror before he walked over to close the door, I immediately scooted over to that side as he shut the door; a smile gracing my face at my childish act.
"You're so annoying" he muttered frustrated, I opened my mouth to reply to his comment but he sped off, shutting me up in the process.
After a few minutes of driving in total silence, passing a lot of buildings, and occasionally glaring at each other through the mirror, we pulled up to a mansion that I assume is the packhouse; I stared at the mansion in awe as we drove in, it is twice as big as my packhouse,  and from the looks of it, it has over 100 rooms.
He packed in the garage where a lot of other cars were packed, then stepped out, and without even waiting for me he started heading into the house. I quickly opened the door and ran after him; I'm not about to repeat this afternoon's event.
We both entered the house and my mouth fell open as we stepped into the living room, it's so spacious and everything there looks so expensive and vintage starting from the couches, to the paintings on the wall, the big tv and everything else; don't get me wrong, my pack's house is big and beautiful but compared to this! It's close to nothing.
"Damn, I'll happily suffer in this place" Eliana muttered and I nodded in agreement, even tho I doubt a place as grand as this will have an atom of suffering.
"For someone that's an Alpha's daughter, you sure aren't acting like it" I quickly closed my mouth and straightened my posture, turning towards him with a scowl trying to hide my embarrassment while he stood there with a taunting look in his eyes.
"Well If you are done staring, I'll like to go meet the Alpha and go home," he said and turned, heading to where I assume is the Alpha's study.
"Wait! You don't live here? But the Alpha does?" I asked trying to catch up with his long strides, damn his long legs.
"Yes," he replied curtly, maintaining his speed. I looked at him and shook my head, that's weird, in every pack I know the Alpha and his Beta always stay in the packhouse together, unless the Alpha doesn't want to stay in the packhouse then they stay differently, I have never heard of the beta being the one that moves out.
I swallowed down the question dancing at the tip of my tongue and continued following him, I'll get all my answers later.
We kept walking further into the hallway when three identical girls; dressed in matching T-shirts and shorts with pigtails, ran out giggling but the moment they caught a glimpse of Drystan, they ran back.
"Please don't tell me he is an asshole to children" Eliana begged desperately and I rolled my eyes.
"I don't know either Eliana, I'm as clueless as you." I said continuing my walk absentmindedly, when I bumped into someone's back "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking" I apologized immediately, raising my head to meet Drystan's annoyed gaze.
"Of course, you weren't looking" he growled out and I shifted away from him
I looked away from him and muttered under my breath "What an ass". He heard me and glared at me for a few more seconds, before knocking on the door, a rough voice from the inside said to come in and we both entered inside. The office didn't fall short of my expectations, it was huge and grandly decorated. Anyone could tell it was an Alpha's study
"Annha Selene, welcome. Please take a seat" Alpha Derick said with a smile, standing up as soon as I walked in
I returned his smile and took the visitors' chair opposite his and sat down, "welcome, how was your trip?" He asked, closing the file in front of him.
I turned towards Drystan who has been standing since we got in there and glared at him, "Did Drystan do anything?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowed as he looked between Drystan and I, I didn't miss the pointed glare he gave Drystan and that surprisingly made me want to defend him.
"Oh no, he didn't. The flight was amazing and Drystan got me back here safely" I lied with a smile on my face.
He seemed to buy the lie because his facial features relaxed and a smile graced his face, "In that case, I'm very glad. A room has been prepared for you in Drystan's home, so go freshen up and have a proper rest. I'll inform your father of your safe arrival" I smiled and nodded at his words, standing up almost immediately.
"Thank you. I'll be on my way then" I said and stood up but Derrick immediately held my hand and stopped me.
"Drystan, give us a second please," Derrick said and I arched my brows.
"Yes Alpha," he said in a monotone voice after a few seconds, I heard the door open and close before I removed my hand from Derrick's.
"Is anything wrong?" I asked and he gestured to the seat I was seated on as he sat back down. I peered at him for a while before I took my seat
"Annha, I would like to apologize about the article earlier. I'm not proud but I was the one that released the article about our marriage" he said and my eyes slowly widened.
"Wha- What!?" I exclaimed and he raised his hands in defense.
"I'm truly sorry, but I did it for you and Drystan"
"That's bullcrap, Derrick! You fucking promised Nc you went ahead to do that shit! Does your word mean nothing to you?"
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "I'm sorry, okay? I don't..."
"Save the explanation Derrick, the damage has already been done and one day you're going to fulfill another promise to mend the one you broke," I said and he rapidly nodded his head.
"Deal," he said but I was already on my way out, I opened the door and saw Drystan standing there, but I just walked past him.
"Make sure you get her here on time for the dinner" I heard Derrick say to Drystan, but I didn't pay attention to him and just walked ahead, Drystan joined me afterward.
We got into the car and I suffered another 5 minutes alone with Drystan before we pulled up to his house, but I didn't mind the silence this time because my mind was occupied with what Derrick did, but all that was momentarily forgotten when I caught sight of Drystan's house.
"Wait, this is your house?" I asked as I stepped out of the car.
"Yeah, got any problem with it?" He asked, bringing out my luggage from the car.
"Yes," I answered immediately, eyes roaming around the house "how come a Beta gets to live in this type of house?!" The house definitely looks like what an alpha will live in, he rolled his eyes at me and walked in with my luggage, while I followed behind, feasting my eyes on the decors as we walked up.
"Here's your room," he said dropping my bags in front of a door at the end of the hallway.
"Why is my room at the end of the hallway?" I asked, and he looked down at me like I asked the stupidest question on earth and I believe I did, cause the answer is so obvious.
"Cause I don't want you next to me, something I made obvious from the very beginning" he sneered and I just stared at him blankly, I picked up my bags and opened the door when he stopped me "hold on, I'm not going to give you a tour of the house so I'll just tell you about the rooms and where they are"
I dropped my bags and stared at him with raised eyebrows and folded arms, "there are 6 rooms in this hallway; the right side is the bedrooms, the first one is mine and you should stay away from it" I rolled my eyes at his words but continued listening to him quietly " the second one in between our rooms is the guest room, and the last one is yours"
I nodded my head and continued listening to him quietly "the other two rooms on the left side is just the gym and the library, you are free to use them when I'm not using them. The last is my study and on no occasion should you enter without permission" he gave me a pointed look as he said that, but I kept my blank face on "That's all for now" he finished and stood there staring at me.
I picked up my bags from the doorstep and shut the door on his face without saying a single word to him, I smiled to myself in satisfaction when I imagined the shocked look on his face at my action.
My smile widened, even more, when I looked around the room "it's so big and spacious, the bed is even bigger than the one we have back at home" Eliana gushed out excitedly.
The room is indeed beautiful and big; the walls are coated in a light pink paint which made the whole room scream princess! The bed lay in the middle of the room with a white and soft bedspread covering it, I dropped my luggage and jumped on top of it sighing in contentment.
"It's as soft as I thought" I lay there running my hands through the sheets
"let's go check the bathroom out," Elaina said excitedly and I stood up from the bed, heading to the door by the left.
"Gosh the bathroom is beautiful too" Everything about the bathroom is white, ranging from the walls to the floor, to the tub, shower, the toilet seat, everything is white. "The white's kind of intimidating tho" I muttered as I flushed the toilet even tho I didn't use it.
I walked back to the room and arranged my clothes in the wardrobe, then placed my files and laptop on the study table then washed up.
"Refreshing" I laid on the bed wearing nothing but my underwear, and covered myself with the duvet "living with him in comfortability isn't going to be that bad" I muttered to myself and snuggled further into the bed.
I heard Eliana sigh "We are settled in now, but there are lots of unanswered questions, what should we even do next?" I closed my eyes and released a deep breath
"Let's figure it out when I wake up". I replied and let sleep overcome me.
