SELENE
"You have only 30 minutes to prepare for dinner so hurry up" Drystan's voice interrupted my date with the bed and I opened my eyes in annoyance, all I want to do right now is sleep, just sleep.
"Did you get that?" He asked in an annoyed tone making me look up at my door in annoyance, I thought he already left "I said did you get that?" He asked again, with an unmistakable annoyance in his voice.
"Yeah, I'll be out in 30 minutes" I replied, reluctantly dragging myself up from the bed
"You already wasted 5 minutes so be out in 25," he said and this time, I heard his footsteps as he walked away. That dude is such a douche.
I walked into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and washed my face; I already washed up before I fell asleep so what's the point of doing it again. I opened up my makeup box and applied powder, mascara, and lipgloss; it's just dinner with the pack, no need to overdo it anyway. I combed my hair and decided to just let it be, it's just pack dinner.
"I can feel your nervousness Elene, calm down" I dropped the comb I was holding and sighed looking at myself in the mirror. My body trembled a little bit and my eyes keep darting from one point of my face to the other, I don't know what to expect from the pack, and that kind of made me apprehensive.
I'm used to being in power and not having to fit in, and now I'm living in a new pack as their beta's fiancee with no clue on what they are like, and it feels like I've been dragged into a foreign world filled with responsibilities, and no manual on how to go about it.
"We got this," I said to myself, and with one last look in the mirror I walked off to go find an outfit, and that's when I realized I didn't know what to wear.
I don't even know the dress code, is it a normal pack dinner or dinner dinner type of dinner "fuck my life" I muttered as I stared at the clothes in front of me.
"You know what, I'll just pick whatever and if it isn't proper, I believe the devil will be kind enough to tell me" I picked out a pair of blue jeans and a white hoodie, then white sandals to go with it.
"5 minutes" Drystan yelled and I rolled my eyes, I'm already done anyway.
I opened the door and went down to the living room, Drystan stood by the door dressed in a grey t-shirt and grey joggers, and damn! "is that man never not hot?" Eliana sequels in my head and blood rushed to my cheeks out of embarrassment, but thanks to my black skin it isn't noticeable.
"Let's go" he grumbled out and left, I trailed after him quietly till we got to the car and he entered the driver's side, I made to open the backseat but his words made me halt "you should only enter that back seat if you want to drive yourself to the packhouse," he said, not breaking eye contact with me.
I smirked at him and proceeded to open the backseat and sit down, he glared at me through the mirror but I kept a pleasant smile on my face. He finally started the car after minutes of glaring and muttered something under his breath. A proud smile appeared on my face and I relaxed back into the chair.
We arrived at the packhouse after a few minutes of driving, and just like the morning he opened his door and left, not bothering to see if I was coming or not. I glared at the back of his head, till he disappeared into the house before I opened the door and went after him.
"Thought you would spend all of eternity in there,"  He said the moment I walked in, his arms crossed over his chest, making his muscles way more visible. I stared at them for a while, before I raised my face to meet his, and saw him looking at me with taunting eyes "I should have worn a tank top, that way you can see more of it"
I scoffed and rolled my eyes "no worries, it's not much to look at anyway" I said and walked off in an unknown direction.
"The dining room is on your left," he said and walked off, leaving me to roll in embarrassment. I took a deep breath and walked off in the direction he took.
It didn't take long enough and I was standing before the pack members, and before I knew it over 30 pairs of eyes turned to me, making me nervous. I cleared my throat, putting on a big smile on my face, I walked to Drystan that was standing beside Alpha Derrick; who was smiling at me.
"Glad to see you again, Annha," Derrick said as soon as I came close enough, I smiled and nodded my head.
"Likewise," I gritted out and turned away from him to look around the room "I don't see Lady Amelia" I stated turning back to face Alpha Derrick.
"Oh, she doesn't live here, yet" I nodded again and he smiled at me "let me introduce you to the pack members here,"  he said, and I turned to face the pack members.
"Annha Selene, these are the pack officials and their families. "They and a few others are the ones that occupy the pack house with me," he said and a big smile graced my face as he proceeded to introduce me to them.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all, I hope you treat me as one of you," I said and I saw a smile appear on their faces before one of the men stood up, and shook my hand lightly.
"The pleasure is all ours, Annha, and you don't have to worry about a thing. We are all glad to have you here" he said with a smile, proudly displaying his crooked teeth.
"Alright then, let's get the dinner started," Derrick said, and I smiled before taking a seat. Drystan looked around the room for an empty chair, I saw the look of disappointment appear on his face when he realized it was only the one beside me that is vacant, he looked at it for a while before he reluctantly sat down.
The Omegas brought out the food and gently placed them on the dining table and immediately left the room, but two other people remained and started dishing out the food for everyone present.
I took that opportunity to look around the dining room, it's so much bigger than my pack's which could only fit 20 people at maximum and this one is hosting more than 30 Werewolves, and the Omegas that brought in the food earlier looked more sophisticated than the one in my pack.
"We definitely undermined this pack," Eliana said, reminding me of the moment I thought the pack would be small and weak compared to what people said because of the stunt Derrick pulled on me.
"At least now we know better, and we can pick a few tips," I said with a shrug, trying to act nonchalant but my ego is bruised.
"I guess," she said and reverted into the back of my mind.
I sighed and started eating the food served, a lot of food was brought to the table but I decided to go with lasagna. I made small talk with the members while eating and I got to know a bit about the pack.
The pack is so big it has 10 districts, and this is the main district. Each district has its own school, warriors, and hospital, each district is basically another werewolf pack on its own.
"So how is everything managed?" I asked, diverting my attention to Alpha Derrick.
"I have a representative for each of the districts, and they report back to me each day. Each representative is assigned an assistant and a trainer, to make sure that each of the districts is developed and managed properly" he explained and I nodded in understanding.
"So basically each district has its acting Alpha, Beta, and trainer?" I asked and he nodded "How did you manage to make your pack so big?" Derrick was about to reply when the two girls I saw earlier in the day ran into the room, and the moment they saw Drystan they ran to him.
He smiled and carried them and sat them on his lap and they began to talk amongst themselves, my mouth dropped open and my eyes widened as I stared at them. I was still staring at them when I heard laughter erupt from the table, and I immediately closed my mouth and cleared my throat.
"Her face was priceless," A feminine voice said and I became more embarrassed. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked up to see a petite red-haired girl, probably in her early 20's staring at me with amusement lacing her eyes.
"It's okay, we all had the same expression the day we found out he had a soft spot for children," The girl said and I chuckled.
"I'm way more surprised it didn't make the news headlines," I said and chuckled. The girl burst into laughter beside me.
"I like her. I'm Annha Clarissa by the way, sister to Derrick. Sorry, I couldn't come to your engagement" she said, stretching out her hand.
I shook her gently and smiled "I'm Annha Selene, nice to meet you, and apology accepted" she smiled at me once more and everyone went back to eating.
The pack dinner ended shortly afterwards and Drystan and I went home, but during the short period I was with them, I had gottrn anquitted with most of them, especially Clarissa.
