SELENE
I was forced awake by my loud phone, I sleepily stretched out my hand and picked it up from the side table, and without looking at the caller ID, I answered the call
"Hello?" I mumbled out in a hoarse voice, my eyes struggling to stay open.
"Princess" my mum's soft voice called out and I immediately sat up on the bed, sleep left me almost immediately.
"Mum, how are you? How is Dad?"
"We are fine princess, we were waiting for your call but you didn't call. Are you okay?" She asked, and I could sense the worry in her voice. I immediately cast my eyes down in guilt, fiddling with the hem of the duvet.
"I'm so sorry mum, I arrived safely but I got caught up with unpacking and having dinner with the pack officials. I'm sorry" I apologized and I heard her release a deep breath.
"It's okay sweetie, I'm okay now that I know you are safe. I'll have to go now, and please call your Dad, he has been worried sick"
I sighed and nodded even tho she can't see me "I will"
"Alright, stay safe. I love you"
"I love you too mum," I said, sitting there with a smile on my face for a few seconds before she ended the call.
I stared at my phone after the call ended and released a deep breath "well that was a good way to start the day" I said and stood up from the bed then proceeded to walk into the bathroom and freshen up.
When I was done, I applied light make-up and put on a pair of black joggers and a white crop top. I picked up my phone and walked downstairs, reading the news as I walked downstairs.
The scent of freshly made pancakes engulfed my nose as soon as I walked into the kitchen, making me look up from the news I was reading, only to see Drystan standing before the gas cooker with an apron tied on his waist, and his hair packed in a ponytail as he effortlessly turned the pancakes.
"I didn't know the big bad wolf can cook," I said, as I sat on one of the dining chairs while trying to keep Eliana in control. She started fanning over how hot he is the moment we saw him in the kitchen.
"And I didn't know an Annha wakes up so late" he retorted and I rolled my eyes at him, going back to the news I was reading.
My eyes were still glued to my phone when I caught a glimpse of him taking a seat opposite me with a plate of pancakes before him, eating away without a care in the world. I dropped my phone and glared at him in disbelief
"What!?" He asked and swallowed down what he was chewing, and my eyes widened in shock "were you expecting me to cook and serve you as well?" He asked, raising one of his eyebrows.
I rolled my eyes again and stood up to dish out my own pancakes and my mouth dropped open when I saw the number of pancakes left "You left only 2 pancakes for me?" I asked, turning towards him and he dared to shrug his shoulders.
"I guessed you wouldn't eat much," he said without a care in the world and I felt like pulling my hair but I took a deep breath and took the pancakes.
"You're insufferable" I muttered as I plopped down on my chair.
"Says you"
I ignored him and started eating my surprisingly delicious pancakes. I was almost done with the pancakes when I realized I have nothing to do today and I can't just lay around all day.
"Why not just ask him about his schedule for the day, maybe you can tag along with him"  Eliana chirped in and I rolled my eyes, she just wants to spend the entire day with him which is kind of annoying.
"I don't want to spend the entire day with him," I told her bluntly.
"Why not?" She asked almost immediately, and I can swear she is pouting
"Does he look like someone that's fun to be around?" I asked rhetorically, before putting up a wall between us.
I finished up my food and walked over to the sink to wash my dish when Drystan slipped his plate in "I'll be damned to wash your plate for you" I said without looking up at him.
"That's the least you can do for someone that cooked for you"
"I'm your guest, it's your responsibility"  I stated while drying my hands on the kitchen cloth waiting for an answer from him but when I didn't get any, I turned to see him at the door almost about to leave "wait!
He turned towards me with a bored expression on his face "yes?"
I picked up my phone and walked closer to him "what are your plans for today?" I asked and he just stared at me for a while.
"And why do I have to tell you that?" He asked and I shrugged.
"Isn't it obvious? I have nothing to do all day, so I was wondering if I could tag along with you" I sighed when I finally forced the words out, I badly don't want to deal with him all day but then again I don't want to stay here doing nothing.
"The things I'll be doing have no relevance to you, I'll be busy with pack duties" he answered vaguely.
"I can help, I managed most of the pack duties back at my pack," I said, excitement lighting up my face " and I can also get a tour of the pack"
He looked at me and chuckled "You wish" and before I could bat an eyelash, he was out of the house
"Did he just do that!?" I shouted, stomping my foot on the ground. I stared at the door with dilated eyes, trying to keep myself in check "At least I don't have to spend the entire time with him, and let him bring out the worst in me" I turned around and marched up the staircase like an angry cub.
Stopping at my room, I walked in and collapsed on the bed "guess we will just have to make our own schedule" I muttered under my breath, but still not making an effort to sit up until my phone pinged with a notification.
Picking up my phone I see a message from Stacy in the group chat, my face immediately lit up with a smile and I quickly opened the message.
Stacy: Bitch! Did you leave without telling us?
Lucy: calm down Stace *inserts eye roll*
Stacy: Do not tell me what to do!
I chuckled at the interaction before I typed out a short message to them
Me: "Sorry guys, I had to leave as soon as possible and didn't have the time for dramatic goodbyes. Do you Wanna facetime tho?
Lucy: shouldn't have calmed stace down, and yeah I'm in.
Stacy: You didn't do shit, I'm in too
I quickly ran to my laptop and put it on, after a while the faces of the girls appeared on the screen, a goofy smile on their faces.
"Hiiii!!" I squealed making the girls chuckle a bit
"You've been gone for like a day and you are already looking different, and in a good kind of way" Lucy pointed out and I rolled my eyes at her bluff.
"Excuse my poor eyesight but are you staying in a princess-themed queen room?" Stacy exclaimed all of a sudden, taking Lucy and I by surprise.
I watched her with amusement as her eyes wandered back and forth trying to get a better glimpse of the room.
"Girl, you better give us a tour," Lucy said and I burst into laughter
"Sure thing" with a big smile on my face, I carried the laptop and started walking around the room giving them a full tour of the room.
When I finally settled back in my chair, their mouths were wide open and their forehead creased "You better marry that Werewolf! The room is twice as big as the one you have here" Lucy said bluntly, waving her hands sassily.
"And not just that, he is a whole load of hotness! Like damn" Stacy pointed out fanning her face with her hand
I felt Eliana break through the wall and mutter "Told you so"
"You girls are exaggerating it all," I said, staring at them with a bored expression. A moment of silence passed with Lucy and Stacy staring at me in disbelief.
"Girl I'm about to smack you through this screen. Lucy, can your witchy stuff do that?"
"You bet it can"
I burst into laughter and was about to give them a befitting reply when my phone started ringing, an unknown number displayed on the screen and I furrowed my brows.
"Hold on guys" I picked up the phone "Hello, Annha Selene speaking," I said in a formal tone.
"Selene!" An oddly familiar and bubbly voice called out through the phone, making me furrow my brows in confusion trying to figure out who it is "It's Clarissa! We met last night at the dinner, remember?' She said and my mouth made an O shape.
"Yes Clarissa, I remember. How are you? And not to be rude, how did you get my contact info?"
"I'm quite alright. Drystan gave me your contact earlier, he said you will be bored, jobless, and lonely all day, so he gave me your number" she ranted and I sighed  *that rascal*
"Ohh, no surprises. So, any problem?" I asked, my eyes darting to my laptop screen where Lucy and Stacy were busy doing their own thing paying me no attention.
"Ah yes," she said and a slight pause followed "will you like to hang out with me? I was planning on doing a routine check-up on the region and going shopping after that, so I was hoping you'll tag along but it's okay if you don't" she rushed out in one breath and a lazy smile made it's way to my face.
"Of course, I'll like to hang out with you," I said and I heard her breathe out a sigh of relief.
"Alright, will pick you up in 10. Dress comfortably" she said and hung up.
I stared at my phone with a small smile before turning to the girls "sorry guys, I have to go. Talk later at night?" I asked with a hopeful look.
"Sure, see you later girl," they both said at the same time and disconnected.
I switched off the laptop and brought out my mirror, did a little touch-up to my makeup and looked at my outfit in approval, then headed downstairs to wait for Clarissa and our day together.
