" By the way, Sis. Have you had lunch? " Mary asked Malisa after Aiden left.
" No, I haven't. "
" Why, Sis? It's almost 4:30 pm. " Mary said glancing at her wristwatch.
" Well, I woke up minutes before you came. "
" Oh... Why don't we go downstairs to get something to eat. "
" Um.. we will when you've done changing and showering. "
" Oh, I almost forgot. " Mary said face-palming herself.
" It's obvious. Go change, I'll be waiting right here for you. "
" Thanks, Sis! " Mary grinned happily before leaving the room to hers.
Malisa shook her head helplessly.
She then lied back on the bed with her face facing the ceiling, now that she was alone, she couldn't help but recall the smirking look on Aiden's face and the nickname?
' What was that for? ' she wondered.
' Wait, why is he being so nice? He was quite distant and cold days so why now? Could it be that he's interested in me or something? ' She pondered.
But that's Impossible alright?
There's nothing for him to be interested in, okay?
After all, I am not as beautiful as other girls out there, so why would he be interested in me?
It doesn't make sense alright? Or so she thought.

Aiden's POV.
I can't just understand what's going on with me, with each day that passes I find myself being attracted to that Malisa girl.
It's almost like a force is pulling me towards her.
I now began to notice how beautiful she was, her rounded dark ink eyes looks so dazzling.
I can't help but notice her more and more.
I called her Mali?
The name just rolled out of my tongue without me even realizing it.
What's wrong with me?
Why are my thoughts filled with her?
Why do I want to be close to her?
Why?
I just don't get it!
What's this I am feeling?
Is this what they call love? Infatuation or what?
I don't understand!
I wish I did!

Malisa and Mary went downstairs to the dining room but on getting there, they soon realized that there wasn't food left for them.
Mary was about to ask the cooks to make something for them when, Malisa stopped her, " Why don't we have some cereals instead, Mary? " she suggested.
" Um.. that's a good idea. " Mary said happily as she immediately went to the refrigerator and got the cereals and the cups and spoons they were to use to eat it.
Malisa collected the cereals from Mary and began pouring them into the cup before adding milk and water before mixing it.
Soon, it was ready and they both sat on the chair and began eating.
" I didn't Know you eat Cereals too, Sis. " Mary commented when she saw Malisa eating quietly.
Hearing this comment, Malisa paused before speaking up, " I do. " She replied Simply.
" Um.. okay. " Mary Replied and soon they were eating in silence again with no one talking for a while.
Later, they were on their way to Malisa's bedroom but as they passed through the study, the door opened all of a sudden to reveal a stressed-out Aiden.
" What's wrong, brother? Why do you look so stressed out? " Mary who noticed him first said as she paused her steps.
Hearing this, Malisa paused too and turned to the brother-sister duo.
" It's nothing much. " He assured her, but the Duo knew he was lying as he seemed very worried from his tone of voice.
" Why don't you tell us what's wrong, brother? We might have a solution. " Mary coerced.
Instead of Replying to her Question, Adien turned to Malisa who was watching them quietly, " Um.. do you know Chinese, Mali? " He asked her slowly.
Mary immediately became alarmed, what kind of question is that? How would he expect her to understand Chinese that hard language, even she doesn't even understand it, " Brother, you --- " Mary was about to speak up but got Interrupted by Malisa's answer?
" I do... " The duo stared at her in shock.
" You do, Sis? " Mary was the first to react.
" Yeah, I was able to learn it for about five years. " She replied.
" Really? So you know how to read and write in Chinese? "
" Yes. " She nodded.
" Can you speak it too, Sis? " Mary asked.
" Yeah, but my intonation is not as good as that of a native speaker. " Malisa Replied.
" Oh my, sis! You surprise us every day! Which other languages do you know? " Mary asked curiously.
It seemed like she wasn't the only one who was curious about this as even Aiden was staring at her as he waited for her reply.
Malisa felt a little uncomfortable under their intense gazes but she still managed to answer the question, " Well, I also know, German, Italian, and Tagalog ( the language of the Philippines. )
" Oh my, Sis! You are amazing! How many years did it take you to learn all that? "
" About 11 years in total. " Malisa Replied after a moment of thought.
" Wow! " Aiden couldn't help but exclaim.
Malisa who couldn't bear with their intense gazes anymore bowed her head and began staring at her feet.
" No wonder you are so knowledgeable, sis. "
" It's nothing much to be proud of. " Malisa said without raising her head.
" Em. can please do me a favor? " Aiden said slowly.
Malisa raised her head and looked at him, " Which is? "
" Well, I am in urgent need of a translator now, I'll be having a video conference with the executives of a Chinese company so I need a translator and since it's a short notice the translator from the company won't be able to make it in time. So will you be my translator? " He drawled slowly.
Malisa pondered on his words carefully before replying, " Do you think it's okay? "
" Meaning? "
" Well, since it's a very important meeting for you, what if the other party backs off seeing that your translator is a young black girl? " She asked slowly.
" They won't. They are the ones in need of our Collaboration, moreover, age and Color shouldn't matter in times like this. "
" Oh.. "
" So, do you agree? " He asked softly while staring at her.
" I do. It's not like I have a choice anyway. " She blushed.
" You do have a choice, Sis! Thanks for agreeing! " Mary applauded happily.
" Um. Thanks for agreeing. " Aiden said slowly.
The duo immediately stared at him in shock, the king of the business world was saying thank you?
" I'll go get changed. " Malisa said excusing herself.
When she left, Mary turned to face her brother questioningly.
" What is it? "
" I hope you aren't taking advantage of, Sis Malisa now? "
" Of course not. Is that the kind of person I am in your eyes? "
" If you say so. I'll go choose an outfit for, Sis.." Mary said excusing herself too.
Watching her Leave, Aiden pinched the space between his eyelids helplessly.
He then walked back into his study to Prepare for the video conference.
