Malisa was in her room reading an highschool novel about two best friends who fell in love with one another, but were unable to confess their feelings to each another as they were afraid of running their relationship...
They eventually did after lots of drama...
But what they didn't realize is that when they got together was when they'll get to fight the toughest battles...
Well... It doesn't matter how tough the battle turns out... As long as they are together, right?
Malisa had just arrived at one of the most interesting part of the story when her cell phone rang...
She wanted to ignore it at first, but changed her mind as it might be an emergency call...
Seeing that, it was unknown number... She wondered who it could be and why the fellow was calling her.
Nevertheless, she answered the call...
She intentionally waited for the caller to speak first before she did...
And to say that she was suprised to hear the caller's voice would be an understatement as she was practically stunned...
" Hello, Mali... "
The caller was non other than, Aiden Evans!
Malisa only recovered from shock when he spoke again...
" Hey, are you there? "
" Hm... I am... Hello... " She replied almost awkwardly...
" Never thought you'd be so awkward or should I say shy when talking to me on phone too... " He said with a chuckle...
" Hey, I am not shy okay? I was just surprised by your call that's all...! "
" Oh... Really? "
" Of course... How did you get my contact info, by the way? "
" That's a funny question... I had your number registered myself, remember? "
" Oh... No wonder. "
" So how are you? "
" Am doing great... All before you interrupted me from reading one of my favorite novel with your call... " Malisa complained not realizing how cute she sounded... And how much effect her words had on Aiden who felt a sweet feeling in his heart.
" Well... I am sorry about that... You could have just ignored my call if you didn't want to be disturbed... " Aiden didn't realize what he was saying until he had completed his sentence...
He still found it funny that he who doesn't like to be ignored was telling Malisa this.
" I can't do that... I know how it feels to be ignored and I sure won't do that to anyone... At least Intentionally... "

" Oh... So the book you were reading is about what? "
" I never thought you were a fan of books too... "
" Well... I am not really one... I am just curious about the book you are reading... "
" It's an highschool - College romance book... "

" Btw, do you believe in happily ever afters? " Aiden blurted out this question before he could stop himself.
" Where did this question come from? " Malisa found herself asking as the question was so unusual... Not the typical one, Aiden Evans would ask anyone.
" It just came... So do you? "
" Well... Firstly I don't think there's anything like happily ever after on this Earth. There can only be something like that in paradise. "
" Okay... What about for lovers? "
" Well... According to what I know, love itself is like war... It's not always blossoming as some people think it is. There would be sad times, the happy ones, the neutral ones... And so on... "
" Okay... "
" So I don't think there's anything like that... Just like life, we fight till our last breath... We get challenges upon challenges which are said to make us stronger... We just have to keep fighting with all our might! "

" So I hope you've gotten your answer now... " Malisa inquired softly...

" Well... She has always been one. The only thing I did was to motivate her to study harder to keep up with her high grades. "

" I must admit though that you've pampered her to a level that If she wasn't good natured... She would have become arrogant and proud. "

Aiden found himself smiling even after the call ended...
His personal assistant almost stumbled seeing that smile...
This was the first time his boss is smiling this much and he wondered why...
Wait, what if his boss is in love?
But that's impossible right since boss isn't close to any lady...
Or so he thought...
Only if he knew that his boss has a lady leaving in his home...
Hoping he doesn't get a nose bleed from shock then...
