After about two hours of waiting, the emergency room light was turned off indicating that the doctor's had completed their primary duty...
The trio stood up immediately the door was opened and waited for the doctor to come out...
The doctor in charge gave a faint smile when he saw them...
" Doctor, how is he? " Mary inquired quickly...
Sighing... The doctor replied, his words were contrary to the one they were expecting and it really broke them to hear it...
" We managed to remove the bullets... Luckily they weren't shot at his heart... But he lost a lot of blood and would really need a donor... "
" A donor? Haven't you contacted the other blood banks in the country? " The PA said.
" We have... Unfortunately, they are all out of stock of his particular blood type. "
" Don't tell me his blood type is AB negative... " Mary said in horror.
" Unfortunately it is. "
" Oh no! That's the rarest blood type ever! " Mary exclaimed.
" Yeah... "
" So what are we going to do now, doctor? "
" Well... We've contacted other countries nearby and they are still checking through the list of blood banks... We are still waiting for their response... But it might take time... He's really in dire need of blood right now! "
" Oh no! This is really bad! "
" Um... I think my blood type is AB negative. " Malisa said all of a sudden shocking them all...
" Really? "
" Are you sure? "
" Well... We can still do a test to confirm but I know that it is. "
" Oh my, sis! I didn't expect that, really! "
" Well... Yeah. "
" Good... Follow me. " The doctor said... And malisa did as she was told.
She was lead to an hospital room where she was asked to sit down on the bed as the matron withdrew blood from her with an injection.
As a result of the amount of blood taken from her, Malisa felt so weak that she couldn't get out of bed after the blood had been withdrawn.
Aiden's Personal assistant promptly went out of the hospital to get some supplements for her...
Seeing malisa lying so weak in bed, Mary felt very guilty...
Despite, Malisa's assurance... She still couldn't help the guilt feeling...
What even ruined her mood more was the fact that two people she loved the most were both lying in bed while she was healthy...
She honestly wished she was the one in pain and not then...
At least, she wouldn't have to stand by being idle.

The whole process was completed in an hour and Aiden was finally out of danger... Though he was still under observation for the rest of the night...
But the fact that he was out of danger gave the trio peace of mind...
Malisa on the other hand, despite having taken the supplements still felt very weak... This made Mary very worried...
She told, Her brother's PA to ask the doctor to do a body check up on, Malisa...
And that's when they found out that Malisa was actually suffering from malnutrition in addition to her natural weak body constriction...
All this made Mary feel worse!
It almost felt like the relief she felt earlier from her brother finding a blood donor washed away completely.
As realizing what it has caused made her feel very guilty...
" You don't have to feel this guilty, Mary... It's not your fault... I'll be fine.." Malisa said to her weakly...
" But, sis... "
" It's alright... All your need is to stay strong... it'll be fine... " Malisa assured her...
Somehow, Mary felt reassured by those words of hers...
It was only then did she finally fall asleep on the bed beside Malisa's.
As it was a vvip hospital room, it had two beds, a couch, a table and a chair Making the room look more like a bedroom than an hospital room.
Malisa wasn't so surprised by this too, as she had read lots about it in novels...
Though there were things that she'll still see and experience in future that were totally different from what she read....
But well... Let's leave that for the future.... Kay?

Slowly but steadily,
Aiden opened his eyes... At first his vision was a little blurry but it soon got cleared in some minutes...
Seeing the white walls and ceiling, he sighed...
He didn't need a priest or prophet to tell him that he was in an hospital...
Recalling what Happened earlier, he realized how careless he had been...
Despite knowing that he had lots of enemies who were lurking here and there waiting for the perfect moment to strike...
He still set out unguarded...
At first, he thought he could escape but soon he realized that it would be impossible as he was completely surrounded!
And when he was shot on the chest thrice... He saw his life blur out right before his eyes...
Just before he dropped unconscious to the ground, he thought about Mary and Malisa...
The two women in his life...
One was his little sister whom he had sworn to nurture till she could be independent... His baby sister whom he loved with his entire soul.... His little sunshine who he was ready to give up his life for...
The one who gives him the strength to go on...
Truth is, she was the reason he became a successful business man...
He worked hard to give her a good life... So he could get a comfortable life for her.
He definitely didn't want her to lack anything... Materially and financially...
Though he knew that he might not still be able to fill the space of a mother and father in her heart, but he was trying...
All he ever wanted was the best for her... He hated to see her tears...
His heart breaks whenever he sees those tears in her eyes... And that's why he always did whatever she wanted...
The second woman in his life was one who without even lifting a finger had began crashing down those thick walls he built around his heart...
For the first time in his life, he was feeling something he hasn't felt before...
You know the feeling when you see the sunlight for the very first time?
The satisfying feeling... Of liking someone...
What he was feeling was totally indescribable...
He always heard about, Love from the media and people around him...
But, he never believed in it...
He often saw those in love as crazy...
But now?
He himself feels like he's falling and getting trapped into the Webb of love...
No matter how he tried... He couldn't stop the feeling from overwhelming him...
Truth is, he didn't hate this feeling... He loved it to be precise...
He just hoped that it was all going to end well...


" Brother? You are awake? " That soft voice which never ceases to make his heart melt interrupted him from his thoughts...
He turned his face to the sight to look at her... " I am... "
Looking at those beautiful eyes being red with tears made him feel very guilty....
He promised not to make her cry but well... He ended up doing just that, though not intentionally though.
" Oh my, Brother! "
Before he could say anything more, she embraced him tightly...
And before he knew it, she bursted into tears...
Well... He wasn't so Suprised by this as he knew how much of a cry baby his little sister was...

Still, he felt very guilty seeing her cry...
He patted her back in a comforting manner...
" You are very bad, brother! "
" You don't love me at all! "
" How could you be so careless! "
" You promised to take care of yourself but you failed to! "
" Liar! Liar! Liar! "
Aiden sighed hearing her rants, still he didn't respond as he knew that he'll only make matters worst by replying so well... He just let her continue ranting as he knew that it was the only way he could make her feel better...
" You know, brother... For a moment I thought I was going to lose you forever... Just like Mom and Dad. I had thought that you'll also abandon me just like secomd Mom and Dad also did.... "
Hearing this, Aiden felt a pang in his heart...
Then he realized just how much hurt and pain he must have caused her...
He also ended up opening her old wounds....
" Am sorry, Maria... "
" What if you didn't make it, Brother? What if you had died on spot? What if the shadow guards didn't follow you secretly? What if you had lost your life! What would have happened to me? How would I have survived without you? How? "
" Have you ever thought of that before, brother! "
" Didn't you think of me when you decided to go out unguarded? "
" Or do you think you are some sort of a super man or something? "
" How could you play with your life like this, Brother! How? "
Mary cried harder as she ranted....
The pain she felt was just too much...
Those few hours felt like a lifetime...
She kept thinking about the what ifs...
She just couldn't help it...
She tried to clear her head but failed to...
All her thoughts was about her brother and what would happen if he didn't make it...
Though she believed he would...
But that, feeling of dread... Failed to go away...
It was like she had just went through the scariest nightmare ever...
The nightmare she had in the past and always wished she'll never have again...
This incident made her realize one thing...
She'll rather be dead than have to live a life without her brother....
He meant the world to her and there would be no life without him...
She was not willing to lose him... Ever!
