Work the next day for me was like hell. When I saw Halen, she looked well, better than the last day, but it didn't matter anymore. She had gone from my dislike list to my hate list, for the first time. Her presence was like a threat to my existence, and the humiliation itself. And I couldn't bring myself to look at her face, as long as I could. She might not be the culprit, but they were all the same. But she seemed to be okay, she seemed to have forgotten about what happened, and I was the one getting the rip of it all. So it is what they say about grudges. It is like drinking poison, and expecting it to kill someone else. That was the case with me, the whole thing was like poison to me, while I hoped it would affect Halen. But I had something else to get my mind away from Halen and everything else. My lovely amazing Kale. As always, he shone. Just seeing his face made me feel better, and his smile made my heart merry. He walked to my seat, with his charming and exceptional personality. His presence was enough for me, and my love for him grew every single day. He sat down on my seat and we both smiled to each other so beautifully. Written on his face was pure love and happiness to be with me. And in no time, all my troubles and worries packed their baggage and took the next bus at the nearest bus stop. "Do you like my hair?" he asked me, touching around his hair lightly with a smile. He was always smiling. "Oh I'm even just noticing…" I replied, but he didn't take it as a good one, he didn't let me finish talking either. His facial expression changed, as if he had been let down. "Are you serious? You're just noticing? But this is not the first time you're seeing me today…" he said with a shuddering time. "So, you don't look at me, you don't admire me, is that what you are trying to say?" I wasn't going to lose the game, so I came up with something that could settle the score. I chuckled and held his hands "it seems like you misunderstood—" "Then make me understand" he said in a soft tone. It seemed that he was trying to please me, and it would really depress him if I wasn't even noticing it all. And paying attention to every little detail– I wasn't going to certify that impression. "I said I'm just noticing because, with or without a great hair, yours is absolutely the best I've seen, and your lips are the best I've tasted, and the best I always want to taste, you're totally awesome and amazing… is just using gold, to coat gold. You won't notice anything, because the main substance itself is gold, and gold is gold, and you're as good as gold" and with a broad smile on my face, he smiled so adorably while his dimples whistled. "Thank you honey" he said, and it sweetened my heart. "Anytime baby" "So, I came to tell you that I'm going home now, I have an emergency, my Dad called me, so, I will see you tomorrow. Take care" "Oh really? Okay fine. See you tomorrow then, I will miss you so much. You take care hun" and he pulled me closer to him, and perched his lips on my cheek. And I could feel my heart dance. He smiled and waved bye at me, and my eyes were fixed on him until she walked away. Though we weren't in a private space, everyone minded their works, and we had some sort of demarcation, if you needed some privy. Or you could just choose from the countless number of empty offices. A few hours were gone, and I was sitting alone, trying to catch a sleep when an instructor was saying something. Before I bent my head to hide under the desk, my eyes met the instructor looking at me, probably she knew what I was up to, but she removed her eye and continued her teaching, so I removed my mind and continued my sleeping. I was getting to the destination of no return. I was getting carried away by the royal chariots of sleep, in the roads of "shut-off from reality" when something light hit me on my body. At first, I thought it was the instructor. "Damn it." I snarled. And I didn't waste time sitting upright, with my sleepy eyes. And I had forgotten about what hit me In that instant, until I looked down and saw two pieces of folded paper on the ground. Whoever threw the first one had thrown another one. I looked around the class, but nobody looked the part of a sleep depraver. And the first person that I suspected was Halen, it was her hand work. But if it was her, she would let me know. She wouldn't hide herself. So, I decided to check the paper, because it might be a message, and I was right– it was a message. "Hey dumbass" was what the two papers said, and I tore it apart immediately and threw it away, to let the sender know that I wasn't in the mood for some petty office plays. My eyes shuddered and when I was about to start nodding off, I got myself immediately, only to see Halen sitting right in front of me. I pinched my eyes closed and opened them again, and I was surprised that she was really there. But still, I had to be sure, I might be seeing a ghost, or it might have been caused by sleep. I looked back at where I had seen her last, but she wasn't there. So she really was the one in front of me. She had the guts to show up at my face, after what happened yesterday. Fear girls. I tried as much as I could to keep the whole thing blocked out from my head. I disliked trouble. I was paying attention to the Instructor and I saw another paper just thrown in. I picked it up and it read. “I don't know how to apologize, but if this works, I'm sorry about yesterday.” I looked around again, no one looked the part, plus did I fight with anyone? So I took it that the paper wasn't supposed to be dropped at my seat. So I let it be. Then the unexpected happened. Halen turned around and whispered the words I never expected to hear from her ever. "Arianne, reply please" she whispered, and turned around again.
