Chapter 4 Time With My Oppressor

Pascal left the sitting room and I was left leaning against the door while my mind ran through the possibility of pushing everyone away through my attitude or behavior? Was that even the case or was he trying to make me the Villain?
For all I know, I was everyone's prey.
Matt started knocking on the door again, calling my name as he made use of his hands. “Arianne, are you there?” his voice came intruding the thoughts in my head and without even realizing it, I yelled out.
“Arianne isn’t at home!” I slowly moved away from the door and had my stop at one of the cushion chairs that was near reached.
“Arianne open the door!” his voice came again, this time piercing through the door and covering the whole room.
“Hey! I said I’m not a’home!...” then, I thought, why was I even telling him I was not at home? When I didn't even want to see him to start with. “… what are you even doing here"
“I came to see you!” he added with a hard bang on the door, which got me pissed off.
“You came to see me? To abuse me again? To prey on my weakness? No, thanks. I will pass.
“You can't hide forever, Arianne!” he said in a confident voice. I was silent for a while, and then pressed the volume button on the remote and tuned it to its peak.
Within a short moment, my phone rang. It was an unknown caller and I didn’t hesitate to swipe right on the phone’s screen to the green call icon. And the same annoying voice came again.
“Arianne, We need to talk”
“Just leave me alone, already!” I ended the call, pressed the shutdown button and tossed the phone on the couch.
I sighed and shook my head and headed to my room; to sleep, with an empty stomach and a head full of thoughts, including losing my chance of going out for a good meal, and Pascal’s voice. And I cared less about the human being in front of our door.
****
The day had started like any other day; boring, godforsaken day. But it was Sunday, so you might want to ignore that statement; although it has nothing to do with God directly.
Pascal had gone out shortly after coming back from the church in our neighbourhood, so it was only me and Mother that occupied the house.
And luckily, I had eaten.
Yeah, Mother came back home that Saturday with some foodstuffs, enough for a day or two days' consumption. But she was late, I was close to fainting; let's not even talk about that.
I came upon my Mother sitting down on her favourite chair, which was a single seat cushion situated before the window, near the main door.
And her legs were crossed, resting on the table, while her hands held the magazine and her eyes were steadily fixed on the couple dollar commodity of information.
No, she wasn’t old, she was just a few years above forty. I wondered why she read and handled the papers like old people; anyways, can't be my problem.
“Hey I’m leaving. Let me just stroll around. Will be back before sun down.” I said with a steady voice, while she looked at me up and down and looked at her watch.
I looked at the clock too, and shrugged. It was only 12 noon. Then she continued with her reading. She didn’t talk to me.
I shook my head, fixed my two hands into my hoodie’s pocket and matched out. And when I got to the door, I stopped.
"Instead of treating me like a fool or coward, you would just make an expression or something” I said. She looked at me, and with such ferocity … “What did you just say?”
“Nothing” I pulled it off and quickly exited, to avoid unforeseen consequences.
The temperature outside was mild, because the sun was around to see to it. I started walking away and slowly made it out of the neighbourhood with no direction; after all, it was just a stroll.
The road wasn’t busy at all, in fact, only a few cars passed through the road and about a couple of people, including homeless men.
I wasn’t thinking of anything, but was barely aware of my surroundings. I got to a T-junction, and looked around and decided to cross the road, but was halted by a nudge at my back, I turned around immediately and saw Matt, hands akimbo, with an expressionless face. At first I wondered if something was wrong. I wore on a confused face and he said
“yeah. I’ve been following you.
“Seriously, why won’t you let me be?”
“because we have a score to—”
“No Matt, we do not. Let me just have a break from your toxicity. I can't wait for our contract to be over” I thought he wanted to make sure I didn’t tell anyone about his sexcapedes with an Intern officer by being nice to me, but he pissed me off more. I moved to cross the road, and he pulled me back.
“Any lady would be happy that a guy like me is stalking her” he said in a confident tone. It made me chuckle.
“Hmm… is that your plan? Happy to disappoint you.” I nudged him off and before I could cross the road, a 2013 Cadillac Escalade fully loaded AWD Hybrid model in Premium trim.
I stepped back to rain curses on the driver because they nearly ruined my life. And before I could open my mouth, the door opened with two hefty men.
I looked at Matt and he let out an evil smile. "You should know by now, I don't take no for answer"
They quickly put a veil over my head which stripped down to my face. I wasn't strong enough to knock them off and my struggles didn't yield any result.
"Matt! What are you doing?! Please don't do this!" I yelled. They clogged my mouth.
I was throwed into the car and the drove off.

In no time, the car was packed at the garage, and we got down. The veil was taken off from my face.
Matt came down with a smile, and extended his hand to me. "Welcome to my Castle, princess"
"Sir, you have really gone insane! To the point of kidnapping me and bringing me here without my consent?" I was very angry at him and could easily wreck havoc.
Matt chuckled. "Your consent? Do I really need to be reminding you each time that you do not have a say? Mmm, you are mine, Arianne. I own you, and you don't have a choice, you never will"
I wasn't going to cry for the jerk anymore, he had gotten enough.
The door to the first luxurious building opened and Halen got out with a smile. I was shocked to see her in Matt's house, and even more angry. Somehow, I felt that she was taking what belonged to me.
"What- what's this?!" I stammered, looking at them both. They looked pretty breezy. "So, first, you kidnap me, just to see Halen, the girl that hates to see me live? Huh?! It's that your big plan?"
“Nice to meet you, Arianne” she walked close to me, pushed me away from Matt and led me inside their house. I turned around to see Matt staring. “You guys have fun. I've got a meeting to attend” And we watched her drive off.
“He's so damn gorgeous, isn't he?” asked Halen, holding my hand.
“I don’t care. But what I do care about is… you're going to let go off my hand now.” I snarled. I removed my hands forcefully and shaked my head.
We were in the visitor’s hall, and honestly I didn’t even look at the compound, nor did I get the necessary little details, like house number, color of the paint, gate … There's any, and even the style of the house; how it looked from the outside. What if it was all a set up?
However, one thing I do know was that the guest hall was wider than our own house.
The antique exquisite chairs were all white and the walls were painted milk. The air that got through from the air conditioner made sure that the room was cool and comforting enough.
A big flat television was situated at the top right center of the wall, and a few pictures of wildlife, sports cars and nature were used to adore the hall. Matt certainly had an expensive taste.
“Matt's a sports car fanatic.” Halen said, leaving the guest hall and I followed her like a fool.
I had many questions running helter skelter in my mind. But I had to confirm one first. "What are you doing here, Halen? Is this what you want to do with your life? Be his little pet? His sex machine? How do you even know him very well?"
She opened a glass door and ushered me in; it was her room, you know how girls' rooms are, and her room was clean and classy.
Clothes were arranged neatly in the foldable wardrobe and different kinds of shoes from different brands were stacked under and on top, so the clothes rested in the middle.
The scent in the room was so sweet that even my body couldn't resist not staying in the room. The bed was big enough for just one person. I would trade Mother's whole house for that single room. But still, I wondered why I was here.
"Wait, you have a room in Matt's house??!" Have you ever gone crazy trying to figure something out? "WHY did you bring me to your room?"
She didn't reply, I Still looked around the room. When I sat down on the bed without even knowing it, it bounced me and was so soft that I didn't want to get off ever again.
"Wow" I muttered to myself, as Halen removed her jacket and top and had only her bra on. She took off her Necklace and when she was about to remove her jeans, she looked at me and smirked, and I immediately removed my face.
"You know, you ask a lot of questions. But if you must know, this is my home, too"
