Chapter 9 For Better Or For Worst?

I gradually slid out of the office to talk to Kale but had to halt to thinks things true, Matt didn't treat me right, if he did, I wouldn't think of getting it elsewhere. If he can do anything he wanted, why can't I? This could be my one short at true love and who knows, I might find true love too.
That was when I realized that I was in for something. Maybe this was right after all. I thought.
I looked at my back to check if there was anyone looking as well– to see if anyone caught me staring. No one was looking, I exhaled and walked on briskly until I reached Kale's side, walking at his pace.
"Hey!" I greeted.
"Oh hey" he greeted back with a smile that sketched through his lips and cheeks. He ran his fingers through his hair, moving it backwards and his face smoothed out, while his eyebrows moved up a bit. I must have said wow in my mind.
"So how was your night?" I asked. And he looked as if i wasn't referring to him, with style, he looked around then at me.
Kale would be the kind of "every girls dream", only if he was really serious. Although he did look cool and nice, and super conserved, anyone can be a snake in a green grass.
"Oh!..." He exclaimed, as if he wasn't paying attention.
"It was good my dear. Thank you. And yours?" As it was about last night, I remembered what happened last night, although it turned out to be just a dream.
"It was fantastic, if I must say" I said, with a smile.
We reached the end of the hallway and turned around, following the path that led to the admins and Matt's office.
I didn't want to get there because of Matt Jones. I wasn't ready to face him yet. But I wasn't just going to turn around and miss that chance with Kale, but I had to do something.
"So, where are you headed to?"
"Oh umm…" he stumbled on his words… he didn't want to say the main thing; obviously he was going to be the serious intern, and he didn't want to look awkward.
I wanted to save him from it, and save myself from going further to the admins block.
"Music hall?" I interrupted her choice. There was a well equipped music hall and I had seen him one or two times inside, he must be a player.
"Yeah definitely. Music" he said, looking at his project books and smiling.
We had already reached Matt's side, then I held her hand, which was unexpected. he was surprised, and I was too. I did it so we could go back.
I tried as much as possible not to show how tense I was. My heart was beating, but fortunately, it was muffled. I noticed that he wasn't as relaxed either. I tried to breathe slowly.
We turned around and I exhaled. Still holding hands. My heart beat had been lowered and we were smiling so broadly.
It made me remember high school days... but, what the fuck were we even doing? We weren't kids.
We walked down and around the hallway until we had our stop at the music hall. Taking the elevator would be boring and fast.
There wasn't anyone in there, or were we there at the wrong time? Probably. We still held hands until we sat down in front of the piano, and he dropped his logs.
Holding hands wasn't convenient for either of us, especially him, since two hands were needed to efficiently play the piano. You should see how tense we were on who removes the hand first. We weren't so matured after all, were we?
I wasn't going to just leave his hand, I had to use a better strategy. So I took his hand and placed it on the piano keys which he liked. I was going to leave his hand after that, but it got to another level.
My mind was raving directionlessly, maybe I would prove to Halen that I'm lucky enough to get a great guy like Kale.
"Oh you want to teach me how to play the piano now huh?" He chuckled. I was never thinking about that. But it was really a great idea.
"Yeah. Yeah of course" I replied smiling, and as I led his fingers through the keys, he pressed them. It did give cool melodies though, but ear sickening ones were higher.
Back at the Inters office, one of Halen's friend reported me to her, for trespassing.
They had even the most lame reasons to attack and plan against me.
But surprisingly, Halen disappointed them.
"She hasn't done anything wrong, girls, leave her" Halen said with a straight face. The words kind of bounced in their ears, sounding fake and unacceptable. They didn't expect such words from her, and they wondered what was up.
"Seriously?" One of them snarled.
"Yeah? Just let it be, is that so hard to do? After all, I'm the one that should worry about it, not you. Is my business, not yours!" Raged Halen.
Something was definitely changing, or was everything?
