Chapter 23: Saving The demon in distress.
Alaina's POV
My heart went to my mouth,
"I want an answer Alaina" He said steely.
"Uhn well you see I thought by coming here, I'll be able to monitor Connor's Condition by doing so I was hoping to have some insight about how I'll be able to get across to him, and..." I tried explaining to the fool but he cut me off anyways and I look like a cat who has been caught stealing the fish.
"If that's the case, why're you here in the wrong way, you should have through the front door, why use an old stairway, I didn't even know exist here?" He asked suspiciously.
"Uhn you see, I came across the stairway by accident also, and I was following it just to know where it leads and it happens to lead here and I must admit, I'm shocked right now, to think no one even knows about it and..."
"Wait, didn't you say you're here to see Connor's condition on the CCTV footage?, well you said just now that you were actually after some unforseen adventure which led you here, not so?" He asked
"Well uhm, you see, I was coming here initially to see the footage but then I came across this stair way and being a curious person that you by now know I am, I guess I just uhm.... I just unconsciously followed the trail." I ranted hoping he'd buy my story.
He seem to buy my story because after a while of what appears to be deep thinking, he asked me to come in and pulled me up.
"Well now that you're here, I have some issues to attend to, I had to stay here myself because the guards needs to boost themselves and this isn't a conducive area to do so and I simply can't let Connor be by himself either but now that you're here, you can stay here till they're here, probably in 10, and now I'll see myself off" he told me, he turned and left the room.
I heaved a sign of relieve, and he said the guys are probably going to be here in 10, that means, they'll be back in 10 Minutes, well that's more than enough time for me to work.

Ava's POV
I hid away in the garage till Alaina came to where I was hiding, giving me a thumb's up and a bunch of keys, I hugged her quickly, trying to show my appreciation but she disentangled my hands from around her.
"Don't get too mushy now, go in there and see him, not more than five minutes, I don't have much time."
"Thank you so much Alaina I won't forget this" I told her with some heart felt emotions.
"If you keep doing this kind of things, the guards will discover the fake software and then along with you you'll get me into trouble!" She said as she sholved me towards the room Connor's being kept.
I looked back at her again hoping to find the right words to appreciate her.
"Silly girl" She slapped her fore head obviously in frustration
"Go!" She whispered furiously, I didn't need another urging as I sprinted towards the room.
"Make sure to pack your long lousy hair into a tight pony tail before going in there, you don't want to get hair into your face resulting in not seeing clearly" I heard her say before I stepped in his room, Woah this is strange, I thought I'll see him immediately but it turned out I have to go through a tunnel to reach him, I could hear his groans, I walked quickly and swiftly not about to risk being caught on the perimeter detector, I took her advise and removed my chain and made my hair into pony tail with it.
I stepped into a light so powerful that it could make a human go blind at the glimpse of it, a few seconds after my eyes adjusted to the light, I looked to the side and saw the cell, I ran to it though I ran lightly, I could hear the echoes of my feet in the spacious room, I held the cell with my hands, and stared at the person kneeling chained to the ground, his hair was all over his face, he was kneeling with his head bent, I couldn't believe my eyes, it was exactly the way it was in my visions, his was clad only from waist downward, his chest was bare of any clothing and was wounded gravely, a single tear fell from my face, I couldn't look any more but I had to see him, with lips trembling I called out his name weakly.
"Connor" I whispered in a voice that felt Alien to me and in a voice so weak that I wasn't sure I even talked.
He looked up, our eyes met and held, confusion came into his eyes, I saw an emotion that looks like recognition flicker in his eyes and went swiftly before I was even sure that it was recognition, he uttered a single word.
"Blood"
My God he must need it so much, they've tortured him so much, at the moment the only thing I want is to cradle his face in my hands, with hands that shook I opened the Gate, I entered the gate and every minute spent walking towards him felt like an eternity.
At long last I stood and slid slowly to the ground at his front, every breath I took, painful, I felt greater pain seeing him look at me with eyes that held no emotions, blank eyes staring back at me made me want him to stare at me even if it's with hatred, I just want him back.
I slowly brought up my hands and cupped his face in my hands gently, it was like something broke inside him, a short while ago I was cradling his face in my hands, in the next, I found myself being yanked forcefully into his arms, so quickly that my breath seized.
"Stop!" I heard a voice that sounds so far away but my subconscious sensed the voice was near. How his chain broke I didn't know, the next thing I saw was his Snow white, long, sharp teeth sinking into the curve of my neck.
