Chapter 17

Uzenio and Ysa were afraid because of what they found out. The next day Ysa informed Halia that she was leaving their place and she was going to the city for fear that what had happened to her in that big building might happen to her again in the other place part of their town.
She worries that it might not be just in that big building, that there are vampires in their place. They all know that anywhere, they can encounter a vampire and they are unsure of the people they talk to and interact with every day.
Nor is it hidden from their knowledge that the vampire burns the light from the sun. But according to Brimo, some vampires use their protection to walk freely under the sun.
Halia will also not lose her fright and fear for her parents. She knew in her mind that when she told them that there were vampires in their area, they would not believe her. And her parents can't help but they need to believe her. Because vampires might take advantage of her parent's innocence. When her father and mother thought of going out and they would meet a vampire, they were sure that nothing would make them unsafe. Especially her father was human, and he doesn't have a blood of fairy-like them.
Her mother may not be affected by the hypnotization of vampires, because like her she also has a blood of a fairy. But it is still possible for her to be hurt, and maybe when the vampire discovers that her mother is not affected by their power, they may be interested in her to make her their ally.
“Halia? Will Brimo come here later? "Her mother asked her.
She was holding her magical bow as she was sitting on her bed. "I don't think so, Mother," she replied.
"We're leaving and don't you dare to go to the forest again, understood?" Her mother reminded her.
She was shocked by what her mother said so she quickly stood up and left out her room. Her mother is currently standing on their steps stair as if she has something that is being adjusted to the clothes she is wearing.
“Where are you going, Mother?” She asked, watching what her mother was doing.
"We need to buy a new refrigerator because our refrigerator here can no longer freeze," her mother replied.
"Where will you buy a refrigerator, mother?" She asked.
Her mother looked at her “Would you like to come with us?” She asked.
She couldn't leave her parents, especially when they went to their town. She looked at her mother and nodded.
“Get dressed then. You are done taking a bath, right?" Asked her mother.
She nodded.
"Your Father and I will be waiting for you downstairs," she said and then went down the stairs.
She quickly went back to her room to get dressed. If someone like her enjoys hanging out with their parents, while she is apprehensive. Their town is no longer safe for them after a long time since her grandfather was alive. Exactly whether the owner of the magical bow the vampires are back again.
She was worried that she might not be able to be the savior of the people because she was just a woman.
As she expected, in that very high building they went with her parents. Fear once again prevailed in her whole being. She was always startled looking around them. She also almost did not want to be separated from her parents.
"Halia, are you okay?" Her mother suddenly asked her. Maybe her mother noticed her anxiety.
She looked at her father who was currently looking at the price of the refrigerators that were there.
“Watch over Father. Especially the ones he talks to, Mother, ” she said to her mother.
Her mother stared at her in astonishment. "And why is that? Do you think your father wants to have an affair? "Her mother guessed at what she wanted to point out.
She also doesn't blame her because only salesladies are there who can be assisting the customers.
“No Mother. Just don't let go of your eyes on Father. If you notice that he seems to be following the person he is talking to, call him right away," she instructed her mother.
"What are you saying, Halia?" Her Mother's tone almost grew louder.
She faced her mother. "Here, I will prove to you what you are, Mother," she said and still stared her in the eyes.
“The things I was telling you were just making you laugh, before? Here you will know that this day," she added and then glanced around for a moment and faced her mother again.
“Once someone talks to you and you seem to be instructed, that means. He or she's hypnotizing you, but that wouldn't work on you." Her mother was also terrified by what she said.
“When Father talks to someone and you notice that he seems to be following something that he seems to out of his mind, that means he is hypnotized by someone. When that happens, ask yourself then, Mother. Why is that?"
Her mother blinked her eyes twice and even shook her head. "H-Halia, what are you talking about?" Her mother asked her curiously as if she was still worried about her because her mother seemed to think that she might be going crazy because of what she was saying.
“I don't want to explain this, Mother. Maybe they can hear us," she said and left in front of her mother.
And then she turned to look at her, and she saw that her mother's gaze was following her as if she was worried about her too much. She deliberately kept her distance from her parents, but she made sure she could still see them.
On her right side, there is a mirror. She faced there for a moment and checked her hair. She was wearing a ponytail. It is not exactly a ponytail but the broken arrow of her bow.
It looked like a sharp piercer in the hair she cut. One of the abilities she discovered was in her magical bow. She can cut it and through her mind, she can command it to transform into any weapon she wants. When her mind said it would be a knife, it'll transform into a knife. But she preferred to make it a hair stick. Its sharpness was hidden inside her encircled hair.
When she saw that her hair was not messy, she left it in front of the mirror. She watched over her parents wherever they went. She simply hid in the casserole displays and watched her father checking the refrigerator in front of him.
Later a saleslady approached and smiled at her father. She also looked at her mother and her mother also stepped closer to the saleslady who was ready to assist them. Her father kept talking to the saleslady and her mother just kept nodding.
But it didn't take long for the woman's face to be serious. She was staring straight at her parents. She came a little closer and the saleslady spoke.
"Follow me," said the woman and she stepped back from her parents. Her father followed as if out of his consciousness. Her mother didn't move as she looked at her father in bewilderment.
When the saleslady and her father were some distance away from where her mother was standing, she quickly approached her.
"Why did he go with the saleslady without even looking at you?" She suddenly asked her mother.
Her mother looked on as if in tears. But she faced her.
“If you continue to believe that way, Mother. You will lose Father forever. Not because he likes the woman but because he is already a victim," she whispered emphatically to her mother.
Her mother swallowed and blinked her eyes twice. The look on her face made her want to cry because of the resentment she was feeling. Her mother fully imagined, her father liked the saleslady.
She pulled her mother to follow her father. They step fast until they are close to their direction.
"Father!" She called to her father.
He did not look back at them as he just kept walking. When she turned her gaze to her mother, she was already wondering what she had noticed from her father.
"That's impossible that he couldn't hear us," her mother whispered in a panic to her.
She pulled her mother to run towards her father. She noticed that what they were going to, was a comfort room. It formed in her thought that the comfort rooms of that building had secret doors.
"Wait!" She called the woman. At where they were now, she also noticed that no one was there and they were the only ones in that place.
The woman stopped and turned to them. She looked at her seriously and even moved towards them. The saleslady furrowed her forehead as she looked at her mother. The saleslady seemed surprised that she could see her mother's reaction.
Eventually, the saleslady stared straight into their eyes. The saleslady did not blink as if she was about of her concentrate on what she was doing.
"Follow me," the saleslady said authoritatively.
Halia smirked. “Follow the thickness of your face! You can't fool us! " She shouted at the saleslady and she was stunned by what she said.
"Why aren't you, under my power?" unbelievable yell of the saleslady.
"Because we're not what you expect," she said teasingly and stepped closer to the saleslady.
“W-what does that mean? What power? " Her mother almost yelled in confusion and trembled with fear. "Marco! " her mother calls her father.
“You are not a Werewolf! What are you?" The woman shouted angrily at her.
"Karina?" She heard her father mutter and he was even shocked when he looked around. "How—"
His speech was interrupted when her mother screamed and her father immediately looked at the saleslady whose eyes were already red and her fangs were coming out.
"I'm not a Werewolf, because I'm a human with a blood of a fairy!" She shouted as she pulled out her hair stick from her hair and stabbed the vampire's neck until it smoked.
The saleslady screamed in pain and kneeled in front of her. "Are you from Diam's lineage?" The saleslady asked but she was immediately consumed and turned to ashes.
Only her mother's sobs and her father's heavy breath with nervousness seemed like the noise around. When she turned to them they currently hugged each other. His father quickly let go of her mother's embrace and took three steps to approach her until he finally hugged her as well.
"What's happening? Why am I here, I mean us? And what kind of creature is that woman?" Her father asked bewilderment as he hugged her. He also immediately let go and then touched her face. "Halia, how did you do that? I didn't teach you to kill people," he asked in worried as he stared into her eyes.
"She's not human, Father," she replied and also stared into his eyes. "She's a vampire."
