Chapter 20

She covered Brimo's wound on the neck. But he was having a hard time breathing. "Brimo, please don't leave me," she cried at him and shook her head repeatedly.
"Take the woman," she heard the Prince of the Vampires command.
When the vampire said that, Brimo's clenched fist suddenly opened. His sharp nails came out and his eyes changed color. It turns into a color of gold.
"Brimo is still alive, Dear Prince," she heard the vampire's companion say.
And soon they were gone around them. They sound scared because Brimo is still alive. Gradually Brimo's nails shortened, returning to normal as well as the color of his eyes.
Her hugs on Brimo and cries became free when she realized that the vampires were gone. Her grip on Brimo's bloody body tightened and she still didn't know what to do.
She remained like that while crying. Eventually, she felt him caress her hair. The way he caressed her was as if he was not in pain. She wondered and her face was raised on Brimo's face.
Her face met his chin and her eyes checked his neck. "Brimo?" She asked in awe when she saw that Brimo had no more wounds on his neck. She looked down at the other wounds on his chest. There was only blood but he didn't have a single wound.
"What happened? Why ... " her gaze stopped at his private part. She gulped while staring at it.
"Stop staring at it, Halia," Brimo suddenly whispered to her.
She immediately looked at Brimo's face in confusion. He got up and she also managed to sit down. "You don't have any wounds?" She asked, still shocked and even looking at herself. There was blood on her clothes from Brimo's wounds earlier. The reason why she gaped was why his wounds disappeared. "How did that happen? " she asked and stretched her clothes in front of Brimo while her lips parted.
"You saved me," Brimo said softly to her.
She stared into his eyes that he was also looking at her seriously. “What do you mean, I saved you? You are the one who saved— ”
"Your tears revived me, Halia," Brimo replied abruptly. She gulped and stared at him. "When your tears dropped me, my wounds disappeared. My strength regained," he added and she could not utter. She just gulped. "You healed me, Halia."
If Brimo was healed because of her tears. That may be one of the abilities of the fairies. But instead of asking, she was just gratified that Brimo was now saved. She just hugged him tightly until he also hugged her back.
"I was scared. I thought I would lose you forever," she whispered to him.
"You will not lose me especially since you are my life," he replied and hugged her even tighter.
But she remembered his transformation earlier from being a werewolf. She let go of  Brimo's embrace and stared into his eyes. “But what was that earlier? I-I mean— ”
“Yes, Halia. I'm a Werewolf," Brimo replied quickly as he understood what she meant and looked seriously into her eyes. "I'm your Werewolf friend. "
She looked while gaping at Brimo's chest. And her sight went to his hand. She touched it and touched his nails. She remembers what she saw how sharp his nail had been earlier. She looked at his face again, and she stared into his beautiful eyes that had recently turned into a color of gold.
"The vampire said, You're a Prince." She opened the topic about his personality. He nodded at her. "Is that the reason why you call your father, King?" He nodded.
"Do you still accept me, Halia?" He asked her. There was a look of worry on his face.
But she smiled. “I'm so lucky Brimo. I'm lucky because you're mine. You are my love, you are my savior," she said heartily.
"And you are my life, Halia," he whispered to her, and soon, his lips pressed to hers.
The kiss lasted, from the simple touch of her lips to hers, it became deeper eventually. In the end, Brimo stopped kissing her.
She chuckled when she remembered that he had no clothes. “Where are your clothes?” she asked him.
He shook his head. “They're all Torn because I'm already worried about you. I was forced to transform so that I could no longer take off my clothes. "
“Sorry. Because of me, you're in danger— "
"If they are so interested in you Halia, they may even let you into your house," he said with a worried tone and he stared at her face again. "If you don't leave, they may hurt your parents as well. But next time, don't do this again," he told her. “Let me know right away so we can talk of the right things to do. I can't save you all the time, Halia." She look down because of the last word he said. "Don't be in a rush. I don't want them to hurt you," he added.
She nodded and looked at his face again. "But I have an obligation Brimo—"
“Let's do that together. Like you, I also have an obligation. I will follow in the steps of my father, our king," he said softly. "I must protect the people. We have only one goal Halia. So don't act without me," he almost pleaded.
After such a situation, Brimo has no secret from Halia. Halia already knows his true identity. That was he is the Prince of Werewolves. Brimo said he was the strongest werewolf of all werewolf races. Because he is the center of the four werewolf lineages.
Brimo took her around almost every corner of the forest. She was riding back on Brimo as he ran fast in the form of a werewolf and jumped very high. Even the most secluded parts of the forest they reached, as well as high cliffs and rocks they toured. That part was too dark even though there was still daylight. It is because of the quantity and size of the trees that are there that even its roots are larger than humans.
Brimo knew that if they stayed in that place, Halia would not be safe. He decided for them to go back to the hut he had made and spend time there with her.
On the other hand, Noreo is currently on the terrace of the mansion. He could see his vast land full of orchards. Extensive plantations of, oranges, mangoes, vineyards, and other kinds of fruits.
How far as his sight is, that was the vast of his land. And the vast land he owned was the only livelihood of their werewolf lineage.
He was the recognized king of his race but he was better known as the mayor of the town he ruled. Unbeknownst to other people, their town is the home of werewolves. In the eyes of many people, they are also just people living a normal life. And there are no people who saw their transformation as a werewolf.
"Father king," called his farmhand suddenly coming off behind him. He bowed to him even though he was not facing him. "A truck of apples and oranges has already been delivered to the other town, My Father king. But they are begging if possible they will just lend the remaining balance first because they lack the budget to pay for the fruits we sent,” the farmland asked him.
He turned to his farmhand. He held his drink as he watched his appearance. The Farmhand was wearing a farmer's hat, sturdy long sleeves, bib overalls, rubber boots, and gloves. If someone is in front of his farmhand and he is not, it may be normal for that person to look at his farmland. That person would have no idea that this farmland in front of him was also a Werewolf like him.
"Tell them that I agree," he replied to him after he stared.
He bowed again, "Thank you very much, Father king," the farmhand thanked and left immediately in front of him.
If their lineage they are the protection of people, he thinks he should also just help them to sustain their livelihood. Many of his fellow Mayors approached him to ask for his help and they did not return to their town disappointed. Because he helps all the people who ask him for help as long as he gives them help. He faced his vast land again from the terrace of his mansion. But he suddenly felt something. It was energy from his opponent, and he was soon standing behind him but he remained calm.
“What do you want?” He asked calmly and he remained facing his vast land.
He knew who was behind him. By the smell and the strength of his energy, he knew who he was.
"Where is your son?" he asked angrily in a low tone, and based on his voice, he knew he was the king of vampires.
Noroe didn't look back and he just acted like it was normal.
"Did my son thwart your plans again?" He guessed the real reason for the vampire.
After he said that word the vampire seemed like lightning which moved toward him and grabbed his neck from behind. But he just calmly lets him do what he was doing.
"I followed what you wanted for a long time Noreo," the Vampire said sternly to him. "We only want one, but why is your son still thwarting us?" he said angrily.
"Rothor Hidrith," he mentioned the name of the vampire and he barely looked at him even though he was behind him and still holding his neck. "You may have forgotten, my son is a Prince. I know you know why he is interfering with 'yo— ”
“But what we want is not human, Noreo! She's like us. She looks human even she is not, "the vampire whispered enraged
Noreo wondered what the King of vampires was referring to. But it is obvious from the vampire’s words that his desire to get what he wants to get is hindered by his son Brimo.
“So it's a female human. If she is human like us even she's not. I'm sure she has the ability too and that's different from the ability we have," he also said calmly. He knew Rothor want to make her their ally and he knew that when it happened, the vampire force would be stronger against them. He smirked, “And my son was erudite and he noticed what you—”
"Maybe you forgot I'm holding your neck, Noreo," the vampire eagerly insisted and tightened his grip on his neck. Noreo's suspicion was right, there was something strange about the creature that this vampire wanted to capture.
He tried to look at the vampire's fangs and red eyes that were holding his neck behind him. Anytime a vampire can bite his neck.
He laughed softly to annoy the vampire. "Maybe you also forgot that you're here in my territory and you're strangling the king of werewolves," he said meaningfully, causing the vampire to slowly release him.
Noreo laughed at the vampire who was holding back his anger, especially since he knew that if the vampire king hurt him, he would not be able to get out of their village safely. And one more thing, he was a king, Rothor knew he was strong and he would have a hard time hurting him.
The vampire backed away from him and he also felt werewolves coming. That was also the reason for the vampire king as he was alarmed in shocked.
But Noreo laughed at him. “I can kill you here in my territory Rothor. I know it has not been easy for you to enter our village. Maybe you can hide your smell, but my people can easily feel you," he teased the vampire while he growled to hurt him. But the vampire couldn't do anything.
“I will give you one last chance. And the next time you enter my territory, you know you won't come out alive here," he threatened the vampire as he continued to restrain him." They're coming— "
His speech was interrupted when the vampire in front of him suddenly left in a flash. "Coward," he whispered and just smirked.
"Father king!" Four of his people appeared in front of him and now their sharp claws were exposed and the colors of their eyes changed. They were in their semi-transformation into a werewolf.
He just sighed and looked at them one by one.
"He's gone. Don't worry, we're still safe," he said calmly and that they wouldn't follow the vampire.
He also doesn't want the Werewolf and Vampire warfare back again like what had happened before. He knew that until now there was still conflict between their races and they would never really get along especially since their goals were different.
The reason why he had better just let the king of vampires escape for that it would not start trouble. But he thought of the human he said that was not human and that his son Brimo was protecting her.
"When Brimo arrives, please let him know, I want to talk to him," he instructed them and they immediately bowed to him in agreement and respect.
"We will, Father king!"
In the forest, it was 5:00 p.m. when Halia and Brimo were sleeping inside the nipa hut. Halia woke up first and even looked around. She looked inside the hut and felt an arm resting on her naked body as they lay on the bamboo floor.
She followed the gaze of the arm that was holding her while she lay down on the bamboo floor. She faced the handsome man who was sleeping next to her and like her, he was also naked.
After a while Brimo acted, he immediately opened his eyes and looked at Halia.
"Let's go home," she said to Brimo and he looked into her eyes.
He lowered his gaze to her chest and immediately moved to position himself on top of her.
"Brimo!" She complained to him "You claimed me before—" Brimo immediately closed her mouth using his lips. She knew that Brimo still wanted them to do something. The problem was that it was already afternoon and it was getting dark so she pushed him a little. He let go of kissing her. "It will take us a night here when we do that again," she eagerly reminded.
Brimo nodded and left from the top of her. "I'll bring you home," Brimo said to her with a smile.
She smiled as well. "Will I ride at your back again?" She asked gaily.
Brimo nodded. She hurriedly got dressed as they left the hut. She even chuckled when Brimo changed himself in a werewolf form.
"I love you, big dog with thick fur!" She teased him as Brimo growled, and he even acted to attack her.
She laughed as she stepped back in a little away from him. Eventually, she was got up on Brimo's back as he immediately ran fasts to deliver her home. She was held tightly to his fur but he suddenly stopped. She heard people calling her name.
"Halia!"
"Halia!"
She was devastated to hear her parents' voices as they still sound like they have companions.
"Just only here Brimo, maybe they'll see you," she said to Brimo and she was about to go down when he took a step. It just means he doesn't want her to go down.
Suddenly she heard gunshots and shouts of people as if something frightening had been seen.
“Mother? Father?" She whispered worriedly and then pulled an arrow from her back. "Brimo, my parents are in danger! " she said in panic and Brimo stepped in that direction.
They peered into a large tree and in the distance, she saw a vampire in front of her parents among their companions. Police pointed their gun at the vampire.
They retreated in fear and behind them, there was another vampire. She felt fear for her parents. But Brimo moved closer to them.
When Brimo moved toward the vampire, Halia immediately released the arrow, and she hit him in the chest. He was immediately consumed and turned to ashes.
"Stay away from them!" Halia shouted at the other vampire and Brimo stopped right in front of them.
A vampire turned to them but people were even more shocked to see her riding Brimo in a werewolf form.
