Chapter 7: The Masked Man ll
Lin Tian raised an eyebrow, he looked at the masked man from top to bottom and tried to gauge where is the man's ability?
"Ah, he's not stronger than the man I killed earlier," Lin Tian muttered with a triumphant smile.
The masked man frowned in surprise and wondered the meaning of the smile that Lin Tian was trying to show.
"Fool, I don't care. He's just a little black cat whose strength is no greater than mine." The man thought that Lin Tian's ability was only slightly above him in terms of shooting.
He had seen it for himself, Lin Tian's ability in terms of using firearms was no higher than his ability to wield the same weapon.
The eyes of the two met each other, there was a big question in the minds of everyone who was there, including Lin Hua who had been focused on watching the fight ahead.
Lin Hua was shocked enough to be rendered speechless, when he witnessed how Lin Tian killed those people. There is only one word that can describe it. Terrifying.
Lin Hua then dropped his gaze on the figure of the man wearing the mask. Only one eye was visible, he could recognize it at a glance, 'Masked Knight' Lin Hua muttered.
People call him the 'Masked Knight' if in films or stories, a Knight is depicted as a savior and defender of the truth. However, the figure of the man before Lin Tian was in fact not that kind of knight, instead he was known as a sharpshooter and cold-handed.
It wasn't just news that was blowing, but the Masked Knights were indeed the dreaded assassins in the S01 district, the place where they were currently fighting was one of the Masked Knights' territories.
"I didn't expect him to be able to finish off the Masked Knight's life, but at least he should be able to pave the way out of this building."
Instantly Lin Hua's eyes spun, up and down, left and right, taking in the surroundings even longer. Since arriving at the building a while ago, Lin Hua didn't have time to look around and now he just realized that this building is soundproof, has no vents and too many things that don't know what it is in.
When Lin Hua was still engrossed in watching the surroundings, without him realizing it, Lin Tian had already stepped forward to face the man nicknamed the 'Masked Knight'. Instantly Lin Hua's eyes widened and his mouth opened in a big O shape.
In just a few seconds, Lin Tian had already managed to make the Masked Knight bounce a few meters away. He threw a hard punch in the masked man's stomach, so that the man hit the wall. There was a sound like bones cracking and fresh blood gushed from the edges of the masked man's lips.
The Masked Knight wiped the blood from his lips, Lin Tian let out a long breath, it was necessary for him to expend forty five percent of his strength to be able to make the man retreat.
The Masked Knight stepped forward again, with a quick pace he tried his luck for a second. This time he took out a small dagger from his trouser pocket, a dagger that had killed many people so far and with the same dagger, he wanted to kill Lin Tian.
"You're just making me sleepy. Can you beat a Holy Swordsman like me with that little toy?" Lin Tian muttered lazily.
The distance between him and the Masked Knight was only a few steps, but there was no movement from Lin Tian yet. He remained in his position and occasionally patted his mouth like a sleepy person.
The Masked Knight with his dagger, he raised his voice, when they were only a few inches apart, the Masked Knight slashed his dagger towards Lin Tian's neck. Immediately, Lin Tian lowered his head, the dagger passed over his head.
The Masked Knight didn't stop there, Lin Tian managed to dodge his attack, then he swung his dagger back, trying to strike Lin Tian's stomach.
The Masked Knight's hand movements were so fast, several times the dagger almost hit his opponent's skin, but Lin Tian wasn't that weak. He continued to dodge the dagger by taking a few steps back.
The masked man started to growl, his every attack none managed to tear Lin Tian's skin. He was not at his wits end, with his abilities in martial arts making him able to fight with his bare hands.
The Masked Knight dealt an attack from below. His feet seemed to sweep with the intention of immobilizing his opponent, but Lin Tian was able to dodge it. He jumped a few meters so the attack couldn't recognize him.
The masked man cursed in his heart feeling even more angry because he was being toyed with. Lin Tian smiled triumphantly and mocked the masked man who was unable to injure his skin.
Seeing their overwhelmed leader facing Lin Tian alone, around five to seven big and tall men now surrounded Lin Tian from all directions.
The Masked Knights cheered triumphantly and felt that this battle could be mastered now.
Even though he was under siege, Lin Tian still looked calm and there was no sign of anxiety at all from him. He observed one by one the seven men in front of him now. Instead of being afraid, Lin Tian laughed loudly, feeling that his opponents weren't comparable to him at the Holy Swordsman level in his past life.
"You are no weaker than a first-rate swordsman," he said with a meaningful smile, "Facing all of you would be a waste of my time. You are no match for me at the level of the Holy Swordsman."
Seeing his opponents who were far below his means gave Lin Tian the feeling of having the upper hand. One by one the seven men raised an eyebrow and so did the Masked Knight. They were astonished by Lin Tian's nickname.
What does 'Sacred Grade Swordsman, Grade One Swordsman' mean? They also couldn't understand the meaning of Lin Tian's words. They only know that the title of a warrior only exists in novels and movies, there is nothing in this world that calls himself a 'Swordsman' let alone come out of the mouth of an assassin like Lin Tian.
After a long silence, the masked man laughed loudly and soon the other seven men laughed too. They both laughed at Lin Tian and thought he was insane.
"Sacred Swordsman you say? Not a holy swordsman, but a trash swordsman... Hahaha." The masked man laughed the loudest of all. He felt disgusted when he heard Lin Tian so highly regarded his abilities.
Hearing the ridicule, Lin Tian immediately felt angry, his blood flow was turbulent, the fire in his heart was burning even more. He clenched his fists, then looked one last time at his opponents and remembered every face that had underestimated his ability, before he finally slapped one hard smack at the man closest to him.
The man bounced a few meters before finally hitting a pile of cardboard and a few seconds later he closed his eyes. Seeing their comrades being attacked made the others jump into action and take from Lin Tian first.
