Lolita wished everything she saw was just a figment of her imagination, and that the dream was just her mind playing tricks on her. However, deep down in her heart, she knew she wasn't an ordinary human. Her thoughts were jumbled, but she did not allow them to get the better of her. After dressing and coming down to the dining room, Lolita noticed that the atmosphere was extremely tense but couldn't tell what the issue was. She had still not processed the encounter Ruby had with the black mamba. However, seeing her pale expression, she became concerned and asked worriedly "Are you okay?" Ruby didn't know what to say because she knew it would sound extremely rude for her to confront Lolita about something she brought to her own home. She was just a servant after all. Despite that restoration, Ruby's emotions got the better of her and she spoke matter of fact "I couldn't sleep throughout the night" Lolita was about to ask what could be bothering her when she suddenly had a flash and the earlier incident replayed in her mind. She was tongue-tied and almost choked on the food when she noticed what Ruby meant. Lolita thought long and hard and said "I promise you won't see the black mamba again after today!" So it is confirmed that what she saw was really a black mamba. Ruby inhaled deeply and said "thanks for your consideration" She wanted to get the situation off her best and therefore told Lolita "please be careful. That snake is really deadly!" She had on a hidden emotion that Lolita couldn't quite place her hands on but she knew her housekeeper meant well. "I will, Ruby, I promise!" Ruby reluctantly left Lolita to her meal after making everything available for her. "I'll be in the garden" Lolita responded with a nod but then she suddenly remembered something that got her startled. The snake was currently in the garden, as Lolita had released it earlier on in the morning as soon as she woke up. Ruby is now moving to the garden and this only means that she was going to meet the snake again. Lolita knew she just couldn't get up and follow Ruby or something like that. She was panicking at the thought of Ruby meeting the same thing that gave her a sleepless night when she suddenly noticed something. She could mind-link the mamba and the two of them could even communicate and understand each other perfectly well. What the heck was going on? Since when did she become a psychic? What is the identity of this snake and why did it insist on following her home even when she was totally against it at first? To top it all, they both understand each other and can even communicate over a distance. Lolita began asking herself if her meeting with the black mamba was a coincidence or not. She needed to have a long chat with her new team member. She immediately communicated with the black mamba and demanded it makes itself scarce in the garden. In essence, the black mamba was supposed to avoid any form of contact with Ruby in the garden. Such a request was a piece of cake for the venomous snake because it could keep itself in view or out of view if it wills to. Her day went by uneventfully as Lolita left out not a single minute to check for the whereabouts of the damned Alpha Gavin. Hours turned into days as days turned into weeks and finally, after a month, there was news. According to what Lolita found out, Alpha Gavin never made it out of Smallville. This news irked her to no end as she was certain that someone was trying to distract her. She kept checking everywhere for him, only for her to end up going back and forth. The guy seems to have disappeared into thin air but Lolita wouldn't have any of that. She left everything she was doing and headed for her afternoon class in hopes of continuing after school. However, she suddenly remembered her promise to take her new friend through archery lessons. The girl just sticks to her like glue and wouldn't let go. Lolita's days have been filled with much laughter for the past few days due to the presence of her friend Kurah. *** In his chambers at Wolftown, Alpha Gavin suddenly opened his eyes and was agitated when he saw himself in a room. His maid immediately knelt before him without the slightest attempt for skin contact while speaking with an ecstatic voice filled with reverence "My Lord, you are awake. So good to have you back!" Gavin stared at the girl before him as his surroundings became clearer to him all of a sudden. Drusilla hurriedly left the room after informing the Alpha that she was going to get the healer. Alpha Gavin was in deep thought as he felt pain all over his body and could feel the bandages wrapped around his whole body. He closed his eyes to make sense of his situation when everything popped up in his mind like a movie flashback. Gavin became so angry that the temperature in the room changed and had Ortiz not walked in on him, he might have worsened his wounds. He couldn't help exclaiming, "how dare they?" How dare the Blue Fiend pack attack him when he was down? Or perhaps, everything that happened before the attack was their doing? Ortiz addressed Alpha Gavin, which brought him out of his thoughts. " My Lord!" With that, he fisted his hands on his chest and bowed his head in shame as he continues, "Apologies for my tardiness!" Gavin expected his friend to ask how he was feeling but the overly dutiful dude is here requesting punishment. He knew he's been out for a while and it definitely isn't the difference of a day or two. He really wasn't in the mood to play this blame game with Ortiz as he was well aware that everything that took place was out of their control. Nobody could have guessed that the Blue Fiend pack would be so overly ambitious. ***
