Chapter 5 Dark-Dawn Pack! Blue-Fiend Pack!

Everyone reluctantly dispersed after the firefighters finished putting out the flames.
They all extended an invitation to spend the night in their homes, but Lolita only shook her head to indicate her refusal.
Everyone then took it to mean that, she would rather prefer to be with the family of Xavier, her childhood friend.
Lolita, on the other hand, had different plans.
She sat on the floor, quietly staring into space, as uncontrollable tears streamed down down her beautiful cheeks.
Xavier knew that there was no helping it, his friend was heartbroken at the moment.
He decided to remain invisible, as he lends her his silent support. This, no words were enough to soothe her pain.
Out of nowhere, Lolita spoke to Xavier for the first time tonight, "go home."
She didn't wait for his response when she suddenly stood up and walked towards the garage where her motorbike was parked.
The front of the garage was equally burnt by the fire that took her grandmother's life.
Xavier looked on worriedly as Lolita had on an expression he had never seen before. She has always been so unpredictable.
However, at this moment, she was exuding a very dark and chilly vibe that Xavier felt the temperature drop a few degrees.
As Lolita was about to take off on her motorbike, she says ambiguously to her childhood friend "goodbye Xavier."
He was scared out of his wits. Xavier couldn't help wondering if Lolita intended to kill herself as she may even ride into an oncoming vehicle to end it all.
On second thought, she may rather have intentions of riding into the river to drown herself.
For God's sake, her direction is even towards the river.
Memories of how a petite ten year old saved the twelve-year-old Xavier, popped up in his head.
She beat up the school bully who always picks on him and also calls him names for choosing the company of a girl, instead of other guys.
That afternoon, after Lolita gave him the thrashing of his life, she says to him "I would rather be with girls than a sissy like you" She then took Xavier by the hand and led him home.
However, what Xavier could never forget is the warning of a lifetime delivered by none other than Lolita. "Like I said, I would rather be with girls than a sissy! Don't make me call you a sissy again!"
With that, Lolita stormed off in anger.
Xavier later understood that, he became a sissy because he refused to fight back, but took in the bully's humiliation, time and again.
Lolita's warning did its job by turning Xavier into a man who stands up for what he believes, and what he wants.
The only exception being Lolita's heart. He knew Lolita was out of his league, and he would rather remain by her side as her friend than get pushed away for coveting what he couldn't have.
Xavier attempted to chase after Lolita, but he realised how stupid the whole thing made him.
How could he outrun a motorbike! One ridden by Lolita Clint for that matter!
He could only hope that the level-headed Lolita he knew from childhood, wouldn't do anything to hurt herself this time around.
Meanwhile, on her side, Lolita Clint rode her motorcycle along the river for a long time, until she couldn't take it anymore.
She was feeling so stuffy, even though she was outside on a cold night. The cold breeze did nothing to help.
The sharp pain in her chest, which felt like someone was stabbing her, coupled with the feeling of lumping in her throat, threatened to suffocate her.
Lolita was in so much pain she couldn't even breathe properly.
The heart-wrenching scream of her grandmother kept replaying in her head over and over again.
As Lolita remained sprawled against her motorbike in complete agony, she could hear hushed voices from far away, "it's done! Let's report back to the boss!
Someone then said, "what do we do about the girl?"
Then Lolita heard the leader say, "leave her to the boss!" He really sent them to take care of her and her grandmother huh!
She knew she wasn't in the right frame of mind for a fight, after all, she couldn't even stand properly at the moment.
Lolita stayed in the cold wind till midnight, when she started her engine and drove towards the Hardwood forest.
She moved around in the treehouse she built for convenience sake..
It was meant to have all the necessities for her impromptu visits, but turned out to be a hideaway for anything she wishes to keep from her grandmother.
Packing all her valuables in there, she set off once again on her motorbike. This time around, her destination was the city of Greenville, the capital of the country of Green Crest.
As Lolita fought her battles in Smallville, Gavin fought his at Dark-Dawn bay.
Being their territory, the place was supposed to be guarded by members of the Dark-Dawn pack, but because the news of Gavin's ambush spread everywhere, members of the Blue Fiend pack were stationed around Dark-Dawn bay to meet the wounded Alpha.
The mastermind wanted to leave absolutely no room for retreat.
Killing him on his way home would save them the trouble of an all-out war.
Alpha Orsin personally led a team of his best men to challenge Alpha Gavin.
The fight, though unfair to Gavin, if he wishes to live, he has to defeat the only opposing wolf pack to have survived this long.
On this night, at Dark-Dawn bay, all remaining wolf packs on the blue planet became one.
Alpha Gavin won the fight with his team, but he paid a very dear price, which took him three months to recover.
The fight was recorded by the independent secret satellite of the Dark-Dawn pack, but it was kept confidential. Only the Alpha had access to the records of that night.
