Chapter Twelve

"He's your Guardian." Aunt Maggie beamed.
"Guardian? Like, those really cool Supernaturals that protects chosen ones?" She asked.
"If you put it that way... yes." Aunt Maggie answered.
Cassie stood like she froze for some seconds. "Aunt Maggie, are you sure about you've said?" She asked doubtfully.
"Why don't you ask him yourself." Aunt Maggie smiled and pointed to the couch.
Cassie turned and Kash was there. She stumbled backwards and looked around. "How did you get here?" She asked.
"I'm wherever you are, my princess." He stood up and bowed.
Whenever others called her princess, there is this weird feeling she gets but Kash called her and she finds herself smiling.
"Tell me, Kash. You're my guardian?" Cassie asked to be sure.
"Yes, I am." He answered and she almost shrieked before Aunt Maggie stopped her.
"Don't, Cassie. We don't know the amount of powers you possess yet, so please don't scream incase we will have to rebuild this house." Aunt Maggie said and they laughed.
"I'm just so excited. So, what do guardians do? Do they sleep too?" She asked as she sat down on the couch, munching on an apple.
"Yeah. They sleep whenever the person they're guarding falls asleep but they don't sleep deep. They are always at alert." Aunt Maggie answered and Kash nodded affirmatively.
"You were my guardian, and you didn't tell me all this while." She pouted.
"I'm sorry, my princess. I didn't know how you would take it so I waited for her majesty to tell you." He said, pointing to Aunt Maggie.
"Yeah, he is right. Kash, I suppose you're hungry, let me go make you a meal." Aunt Maggie said.
"No, your majesty. I am your servant, I should be the one to do that." Kash said.
"Nonsénse! Don't forget that you're also royalty." Aunt Maggie said and headed to the kitchen.
Cassie turned to face him. "You're a prince?" She asked and he nodded. "Wow! I am so lucky," She beamed and he smiled. "Do you eat fruits?" She asked.
He looked at her, their eyes met and he looked away. "No." He answered and she pouted.
"Why?" She asked.
"They aren't clean." He answered and she glanced at the apple she had been munching on.
Kash knew what she was thinking and said, "Don't worry, I've cleaned that one."
"How did you know that it wasn't clean?" She asked.
"I do just by looking at it. Same way I can know who a person is, what they do for a living, whether they're evil or not just by looking at them." He said.
"How is that even possible?"
"We are guardians and that's our special ability. It makes us protect people like you easier." He answered.
"I have a lot of questions to ask you." She bit her lip.
"I'm all ears." He said.
"Guardians are supposed to be female for female and male for male. I don't understand so tell me, How were you chosen as my guardian?" She asked.
"The ocean chose me." He said.
"The ocean? What ocean?" Cassie asked.
"The ocean in the realm of pure magic, it is the largest and most powerful ocean in the whole magical realm. You and the ocean are one, Cassie." Aunt Maggie said as she walked out of the kitchen.
"How?" She asked.
"Only Medusa, the wise one of the realm really understands why, so we were made to know that the ocean flows with your emotions." Aunt Maggie said.
"Yes which is why you need a guardian which is me to help you tame, use and control your powers." Kash said.
"Whoa! You two should calm down. Let me take this in," She said and exhaled. "Asher is already training me."
"He is training you physically. You also need mental and magical training. Remember, you're the heiress to the throne of pure magic, and until you're ready, you can't ascend the throne." Aunt Maggie said and Cassie bit her lips.
"When am I going to see my parents?" She asked.
"You'll see them when you're well trained. You need to be strong enough before you see them because the moment you set your eyes on them, there won't be peace anymore." Aunt Maggie said.
"Don't get me scared. Why won't there be peace?" Cassie asked.
"Because, you're the heiress and every creature would be aware of your presence. Both good and evil will fight to meet you." Kash said.
"This is... oh my gosh!" She fanned herself.
"I think the food is ready. Let's go eat at the dining table... you too Kash." Aunt Maggie said and led the way.
Cassie shook her head and stood up. She had discovered so much about herself today and she felt heavy.
"Are you alright?" Kash asked.
"Yeah. I'm just shocked and it's making me a bit wobbly." She grinned nervously.
"Sorry about that." He said and she smiled.
"Let's go." She said as they went to the dining table. Aunt Maggie had already set the table and they settled down to eat.

LILY'S ROOM
Lily, Stella, Zeeva and Crystal sat round a table in Lily's room. She brought out her mother's spell book and they smiled.
"Crystal, the only reason why I allowed you in this meeting is because you're closer to Cassie than we all." Lily began.
"That's an achievements then." Crystal smirked and they glared at her.
"As I was saying, that's the reason why you're here. You see this," She held the spell book. "This is Queen Lucinda's spellbook which contains both good and bad spells. We are here to use the dark spells." She said.
"Yeah. I believe that it's gonna be fun." Stella smirked.
"Same here. What spell are we using today?" Zeeva asked, her face beaming with smiles.
"We are going to make a love potion for Asher." Lily said.
"And who is Asher going to love exactly?" Crystal asked.
"Me of course. You may ask why I want to use that method. My mother's spells are very powerful and her love spells makes the affected person do whatever his love tells him. So, if we can use this love potion on Asher..." Lily trailed off.
"...he would have no choice but to do whatever you say." Stella completed it.
"Exactly. And if I tell him to hurt Cassie..."
"He will hurt Cassie." Zeeva completed and they laughed while Crystal just stared at them.
