Chapter Fifteen

A devilish smirk appeared on her lips. "Let me see how you will have a change of mind after this." She smirked.
He removed it from his mouth and she compelled him to finish it. He did and his brown eyes turned to grey colour. The bottle fell from his hand and he could feel a throbbing headache coming. His thoughts were mumbled as all he could think of was Lily.
"Asher, are you okay?" She asked.
"I think so." He answered.
"Do you remember me?" She asked and he nodded. "What is my name?" She asked.
"You name is Lily, my one and only love. What do you want me to do for you? Ask and it shall be done. Anything!" He said.
"I'm a genius!" She cackled.

Ian dragged Mia to a corner.
"Is that the girl you said was naive?" Ian asked.
"Yeah?"
"She doesn't look naive to me. Didn't you see the way she treated us?"
"Yeah, I was bothered by the same thought. My first time meeting her wasn't like this." Mia said.
"Then what could have happened? You see why I said that I don't wanna come to this damn place! I told you that I hated humans but you had to make master Drake bring me here." Ian lamented.
"Calm down, Ian. People are gonna hear you." Mia said.
"Let them hear." Ian snapped.
"You need to learn how to control your temper." She said and he exhaled.
"I'm sorry. It's just that I'm really pissed off." Ian said.
"Instead of getting pissed off, let's think of a way out of this." Mia said.
"What are we going to do then?" He asked.
"That guy with her, I think he is the reason for her behavior." Mia said.
"Yeah, I noticed something too. The way his gaze lingered on us made me feel uneasy." Ian said.
"Who could he be?" She asked rhetorically.
"Maybe master Drake will have an idea of who he is." Ian suggested.
" I guess so."

Kash and Cassie were still eating when Crystal came to meet them with a tray of food in her hands.
Kash had already explained how to study people's body languages to know if they're lying or anything.
"Can I sit with you guys?" She asked.
Cassie studied her body language but couldn't concentrate as a result of the students chattering.
"Sure, you can sit down." Cassie said.
Crystal smiled and sat down. She looked at Kash but he wasn't paying any attention to her. He didn't even act like he saw her.
"We have swimming glasses tomorrow, you know." Crystal said and Kash stopped eating.
"Oh my gosh! Is tomorrow Thursday already?" Cassie asked.
"Yes. Don't tell me that you forgot." Crystal laughed.
"I don't wanna lie. I did forget that tomorrow was swimming class. I haven't even bought a swimsuit or bikini yet." Cassie complained.
"Is it compulsory for everyone to be present at the lesson tomorrow?" Kash asked.
"Yes. Kash. It is mandatory. Mrs. Rogers is a very strict woman who doesn't tolerate nonsense. She already knows how many we are in each class, so missing out tomorrow will earn you detention." Crystal said.
"Are you planning on not coming for the lesson tomorrow?" Cassie asked.
"That's not my point. It's... just forget about it." He said.
"You're telling me to forget about it after you've piqued my interest? Not gonna happen, start talking." Cassie said.
"It's complicated, I don't want to swim tomorrow." He said.
"Tell me why? Whatever is the problem, we can find a way of solving it." Cassie said.
"She's right." Crystal chimed in.
"I can't tell you now, I'll tell you later." Kash said.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
He nodded. "Yes."
Just then, Asher walked up to them and grabbed Cassie's wrist.
"Asher, what are you doing?" She asked.
"Let's talk." He said.
"You don't look so well. Are you sick?" She asked.
"No, I just wanna talk to you please." He pleaded.
"Let go of her wrist, Asher." Kash said and Asher turned to face him, his eyes flashing with hatred and disgust.
Crystal looked ahead and saw Lily who smirked. She conjured up a spell and froze the students who were humans. It wouldn't be nice if they witnessed what would happen between these guys.
"Why should I?" Asher asked.
"Because she isn't coming with you." Kash answered firmly.
"I'd like to see you try and stop me." Asher said.
"Asher stop! You're hurting my wrist." Cassie was already at the point of tears.
When Kash heard that she was hurting, he frowned. His duty was to make sure she doesn't get hurt. He looked around and saw that the students were frozen. He jacked Asher away from Cassie and pulled her to himself. He checked her wrists which has already turned red.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
"It hurts a little but I think that I am fine." She said.
"Sorry Cassie." Crystal said.
Cassie nodded and faced Asher who was now coming towards them. What could be wrong with him? Why is he suddenly acting weird?
"My princess, move back." Kash said.
"But you might get hurt. Let's just leave, Asher isn't in his right state of mind." She said.
"If we leave, he'll follow us." Kash said. Cassie got behind him and poked her face out to see what would happen next.
"You do not wanna do this, Asher." Kash said.
"Why? Are you trying to play cool so that Cassie can love you?" Asher asked.
"What are you talking about?" Kash frowned.
Asher laughed. "Today marks your end." He said as an edge of fire surrounded him.
Kash wasn't moved. "I have faced people more dangerous than you are, Asher. This one looks like a school assignment to me." He yawned.
"Don't be overconfident." Asher said and threw a fireball at Kash.
Kash brought water out of his hands and quenched the fire. Soon, his eyes turned blue and water surrounded him.
"You have a chance to back out. You have to snap out of what is controlling you." Kash said but Asher wouldn't hear any of it. He kept attacking Kash who dodged like it was nothing.
"Asher, stop! This isn't you!" Cassie yelled while Crystal only stared and acted surprised.
Lily stood at a corner, watching everything. "This is a new Asher. Nothing can break him from my spell." She said.
Asher paid deaf ears to all they were saying. His mission was to kill Kash and that was what he was going to do. His focus was mainly on Kash.
"Is there a way we can stop them?" Cassie asked.
"I really don't know." Crystal answered.
Cassie saw that the fight was becoming intense. She stood up and stood between them.
"Stop! Okay, stop this right now." She yelled.
"Move if you don't wanna be roasted with him."
