"I guess I'll have to do what I've been avoiding." He muttered to himself and pulled her in for a hug. He let her cry on his shoulders while he patted her back. "There, there, it's gonna be alright." He said. She finished crying, and sat up. He handed her a tissue and she cleaned up. "I'm sorry, I soaked your clothes with tears." She said. "No problem. It'll dry up." He said. "Please, can you teach me how to control my Powers? I really need to learn how to control them." She said. "I'll teach you, my princess. How does tomorrow sound?" He asked. "It sounds great." She smiled and stood up. "Where are you going to?" Kash asked. "I need to apologise to Asher. I nearly killed him today. I used the skills he taught me against him." She said with a sad smile. "Let me come with you." He said. "No, stay here. I'll be right back." She said and walked out. Kash was about to follow her when Lily stopped him. "Aren't you going to give her a bit of space?" She asked. "What are you talking about?" Kash asked with his gaze lingering on where Cassie followed. "I'm talking about how you won't leave Cassie's side like you're her bodyguard." She snapped. "And what has that got to do with you?" He asked nonchalantly. "I'm just saying. You know, this isn't the supernatural world where people know that you're her guardian. This is earth, America, you get? When students see you with her, they'll mistake you two for couples." Lily said. "So? What is wrong with that?" Kash asked and Lily frowned. "Everything, Kash! Everything! Why are you acting like a dumb person?" She snapped. "I'll pretend that I didn't hear that." He said and wanted to walk away but she held his forearm. He looked at where she held and back at her. She released his hand. "You can't leave like that. We aren't done talking." She said. "I have nothing to talk about with a person like you. If you don't mind, I have someone to catch up with." He said. "So, you're gonna leave just like that?" "Do I look like Asher to you? I'm not someone you can easily manipulate so, stay away from me else I'll teach you a valuable lesson." Kash warned and walked out. Lily stomped her feet in anger. "Hmph! Who gave him the right to talk to me like that?" She snapped and walked away too. Diego raised his head from his locker and looked at their direction. He placed his hand on the desk where Kash's hand was before, and sniffed it then smiled. After that, he walked back to his seat and put his head down again. "So weird!" He heard a student murmur but ignored. *** "Are you sure that you're alright?" Crystal asked Asher for the umpteenth time. "Yeah, I said that I'm fine. Stop bothering me. I'm in the middle of a training here." He said as he stretched his body. They were in the martial arts studio. "Oh," She said and bit her lips. "Can you teach me how to use the sword?" She asked. "Why do you want me to teach you that? Lily can use the sword. Why don't you ask her instead?" Asher suggested. "You know how Lily is. She will never agree to teach me." Crystal pouted. Asher sighed and was about to talk when Cassie entered. His countenance changed the moment he saw her. "What the hèll are you doing here?" He asked. "I know that you're angry with me but please, give me the chance to explain." She said. "Explain what? That you almost killed me because of a guy?" He snapped. "No. You know that I have no control over my powers especially when I am angry. I didn't mean to fight with you or take your life. I'm sorry." She pleaded. "What if I wasn't a vampire? What if I was a human? Is that how you would have ended my life? You're ruthless, and a monster!" Asher said and she gasped. "Asher... You_" She couldn't finish her statement. What has come over him? He was never like this from the onset. He cared for her and was even the first male friend she made. Why has he suddenly turned cold towards her? "Cassie, it's best if you let him be." Crystal chimed in. "No! I want him to forgive me. I know that I am wrong but that doesn't mean he should give me the cold shoulders. I already apologized, Asher. Asher, please I'm sorry. You can't continue acting this way with me, I can't bear it." She said as a strand of tears rolled down her cheeks. "Can you leave? I'm busy." Asher said and continued with what he was doing. "Asher..." "Crystal, take her out of here. I don't wanna see her face. It disgusts me!" He spat out and Cassie could feel her heart shatter to pieces. She didn't say a word as Crystal led her out. After they left Asher alone, Kash appeared. Asher saw him and frowned. "What are you doing here?" He asked. "How do you feel after hurting her feelings?" Kash asked. "You mean that... that..." "I'd stop there if I were you. I won't tolerate the shit of you calling her names." Kash said. "That's your business. Now, get out." Asher ordered. "Energy student in Lakefield high has the right to come into the martial arts studio whenever they liked. They are not subjected to any ones approval so, you can't chase me out of here. It's my right as long as it's yours." Kash said. Asher hissed. "Is that why you're meddling into what isn't your business? Don't forget that I kicked your butt before that Cassie of a girl delivered you from my hands." He said and Kash laughed. "It's obvious that you're under Lily's spell. Arrgh! Damn those witches!" Kash facepalmed. "You know nothing about spells, learn how to mind your business." Asher said and Kash rolled his eyes. "I want to ignore your crankiness and break that spell but I need to make one thing clear to you. Before I cure you, I don't want to see you anywhere near Cassie. If you hurt her, I won't hesitate to take your life." Kash warned. "Is that a threat?" "Call it whatever you like." Kash said and walked out. He'll need to visit the Library of magic if he wants to undo Lily's spell on Asher. There will definitely be undoing spells there. Asher scoffed and continued with what he was doing. *** "I have a feeling that Asher doesn't know me anymore. Is he under some kind of spell?" Cassie asked and Crystal quickly answered, "No, it won't be possible. It can't be possible besides he is a vampire." "I know but I'm having double mindsets. Did you see his eye colour?" Cassie asked. "Crystal, can I please have a word with Cassie? Alone?" Kash asked immediately he entered. "Don't worry, I'll excuse you guys." She said and walked out. "Kash, I think something is wrong with Asher. He is different and..." "Yeah, I know. I saw it too. He is under a spell." Kash said. "I thought as much. What kind of spell is that?" She asked. "I think it's a compelling spell. It makes you do whatever the person that gave it to you says. It makes you think that, that person is your master and you would do anything to please them even if it means killing the people you love." He explained and her eyes widened. "What! That explains why he almost hurt me. But, who would dare give Asher something like that?" She asked. "Lily." Kash answered. Cassie's eyes darkened. "Lily! I'm going to teach her a lesson." She stood up but Kash held her. "You can't go." He said. "I'm not angry. I won't lose control of my powers this time. I just want her to suffer a bit so she should know that stuffs like that are highly unacceptable." She said and left. She searched for Lily but couldn't find her. She returned to the class and sat down . "I'll make sure I deal with her whenever we meet. So, tell me, how are we going to break the spell?" She asked. Kash sighed and faced her then said, "We are going to the library of magic."
