Chapter Twenty Two

"The colour of your daughter's hair right now is blue and red. In as much as I am happy to break this news to you, I am sad because the battle we've all been trying to avoid is finding it's way to our doorstep." Medusa said and before the King and Queen could ask what she meant, the ocean brought out someone in form of water.
They watched closely as the water faded from the body and when it finally did, behold! It was Cassie.
The King and Queen gasped. She looked really beautiful. Her hair was blue but at the end, it was red. Her body glowed in agreement with the white gown she was putting on. There was a golden tiara on her head and golden flats on her legs. She slowly opened her eyes and gasped at who she saw.
"Mum? Dad?" She called.
"Cassandra!" Both exclaimed as they hugged her.
After disengaging from the hug, she asked, "What am I doing here? How did I get into this gorgeous dress?"
"We don't know either." King Harven and Queen Roanna said as they turned to look at Medusa for an explanation.
"She is connected with water so the ocean brought her to her Kingdom. Whenever she enters water, it would bring her here." Medusa said.
"Awesome! That means that I'm gonna enter the water everyday." She squealed happily.
"It's so good to finally meet you, our daughter." Queen Roanna kissed her forehead.
"I'm so happy to meet you too. You don't know how much I've longed to see you." Cassie said.
"Same here, dear." King Harven said as he hugged her.
"Sorry to cut the celebration short but she needs to go back." Medusa said.
"Why?" Cassie asked sadly.
"There are a lot of reasons. 1, You need to go back because you being here will put you and the entire realm of magic in grave danger. 2, Your presence would be known by different Supernaturals who would want your powers for themselves. And most importantly, you need to go back because Kash is in danger." Medusa said and the ocean roared.
Cassie turned to look at the ocean, and saw Kash trying to dodge the black balls. "He jumped into the water? I didn't want him to jump, that was why I pushed him back." She said.
"He jumped in to save you." Medusa said.
"He risked being exposed to save me and now he is in trouble because of me." She said.
"That is why you have to go and save him." Medusa said.
"So, I can't stay here?" She sniffed.
"You'll come when the time is right." Medusa said.
Cassie nodded and smiled at her parents. "It is so good to finally see you two. I hope it won't be long before we meet again." She said.
"We wish so too, dear. Now, hurry. Your guardian needs you." Queen Roanna said.
Cassie hugged them for the last time and turned to face Medusa. "I'm ready to go." She said.
"Go and stand in the water." Medusa said.
Taking one last look at her parents, Cassie sighed and did as she was told. Immediately her feet touched the water, a wave came and took her. She bade her parents farewell before getting covered by the water.
Queen Roanna burst into tears. "Now, I miss her more." She said while King Harven patted her back.
"She is a great kid," Medusa smiled. She looked at the water and back at Roxy. "Few minutes to go and the water will be back to normal, Roxy. Too bad, you weren't able to see the Princess." Medusa said and Roxy croaked.

"Get her, mother. Don't hesitate to banish her from existence!" Lily said.
Mia used all her might to fight but who was she compared to the powerful Queen of witches? Queen Lucinda succeeded in rendering her powerless.
Mia fell on the floor, drained of power and energy. Ian came to lift her up.
"Forget about me and finish that guy off. Master Drake won't be happy if we fail, and you know what comes next." Mia said.
Ian gulped down nothing and went back to the pool then resumed throwing the balls inside.
"Are you ready to give up and accept defeat?" Queen Lucinda asked.
"Not yet," Mia said and stood up. "I may not be able to fight you but my minions can." She said and other demons emerged from the ground.
"You can go and rest, my Queen. I and Lily will take care of these ones." Crystal said.
Queen Lucinda smiled and disappeared.
"Come on, Lily. This should be a piece of cake." Crystal said as she put on her hand gloves.
"Wait! Don't tell me it's hand to hand combat." Lily said with a look of disgust. She couldn't imagine touching those demons. They looked dirty and slimy.
Crystal rolled her eyes and threw a pair of gloves at Lily. "Those gloves contains Ursula's poison. Touch them with it and they'll melt." Crystal said as she advanced towards them.
"You know how much I dread demons." Lily pouted.
"I wonder how you became Queen Lucinda's daughter. The only thing you know how to do is scheme against others. When it comes to fighting, you'll be acting like a whinny." Crystal said.
"Just shut up, okay? I'll fight them." Lily said and joined Crystal.
"Is that poison gloves? Mia, do not let them touch you." Ian yelled and Mia stepped away from there.
Mr. Rayner sighed. He made a mental note to separate the school from the humans. He was gonna make a school of Supernaturals separate from that of humans.
All the demons melted and Mia groaned angrily. "You witches are annoying." She yelled.
"We did it!" Lily hugged Crystal but Crystal pushed her away.
"Hmph! You think you're something, don't you? You should thank your stars that a princess like me wanted to hug you." Lily said and Crystal scoffed.
"You know melting the demons won't kill them, right?" Mr. Rayner asked and as if on cue, the demons that just melted reformed.
"You see! This is why I hàte demons." Lily snapped.
Crystal and Lily moved back. "If melting them won't kill them, what will?" Crystal asked.
"A trident from a temple?" Lily suggested, though she wasn't sure.
"We are witches, Lily. Entering the temple is like committing suicide." Crystal said.
"Vampires can't either." Asher said.
"Then who can?" Lily asked while Mia laughed at their confusion.
They all looked at each other and exclaimed at the same time.
"Kash!"
"What about Cassie?" Mia asked.
"Cassie can't because she is also a demon. The only light in our midst is Kash." Crystal said and they all turned to the direction of Ian who was throwing dark balls into the water.
"Stop!" Crystal yelled.
"Don't stop, Ian. Keep throwing till he dies. Him living is bad news for us." Mia said and Ian increased his pace.

MEANWHILE...
Kash was still in the water dodging the balls but couldn't. One of the balls hit him and it deactivated his powers. He could breathe under water but couldn't transform, giving Ian an upper hand.
Another ball came but something blocked it. He saw that it was Cassie.
"Are you alright?" She asked.
"Forget about me. How are you? Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" He asked and she turned to look at him.
"No, I'm fine." She said and formed a ball of her own then threw it up. It hit Ian and Ian froze.
"Cassie, it's dangerous. Move aside, I have to make sure that you're safe." He said.
She turned to look at him and cupped his cheeks. "Don't worry, I can breathe under water too." She said and was about going up but he held her.
"I don't want you to get hurt." He said.
"Kash, you've always protected me. Allow me to protect you this time."
