"Kash, you've always protected me. Allow me to protect you this time." She said and he let go of her hand slowly while she swam up. Cassie got out of the water and everyone gasped. She turned to look at Ian who was on the floor. "So, it's you who hurt Kash, right?" She asked in tone that sent chills down Ian's spine. Ian gulped in and moved back. "Kash is hurt? That's good news!" Mia exclaimed and Cassie faced her. "So, this is who you truly are, Mia. You are nothing but a pretender and liar." Cassie snapped and appeared before her. "What? Do you think everyone around you is good? You must be dreaming." Mia scoffed. "Wow! Bravo!" Cassie clapped. "Well, I am not here to exchange words with anybody. I only came here to teach one particular person a lesson." She said. "And who is that?" Mia asked and Cassie faced Ian's direction. Ian moved back in fright. Cassie started walking towards him but Mia ran and held him then disappeared. Cassie was about to disappear and follow them but halted when people called her name. "Cassie!" She turned to see demons surrounding Lily and Crystal. She wasn't worried about Lily at all but Crystal was her concern. "So, what is it?" She asked icily. "Please, help us!" Lily shouted and Cassie laughed.
"You have no shame at all, Lily. I have someone better to help." She said and was about to jump back into the water. "What about Asher?" Crystal asked and Cassie halted. "What happened to Asher?" She asked and they pointed to where he was. She ran to him and tried to touch him but he pushed her away. "Stay away from me!" He snapped and his father held him. "Asher!" Mr. Rayner called warningly. "What happened to you?" She asked. "It's none of your business." Asher answered.
"It was the demons that attacked him. Now, they're trying to kill all of us including him. The only person that can stop them is Kash." Crystal said. "Kash?" She asked. "Yeah." Crystal nodded. Cassie jumped back into the water and held Kash. "Are you alright?" She asked and he smiled. "Yeah. I am fine." He said. "Don't worry. I'll help you swim up but there are demons up there. Slimy ones." Cassie said. "Did they hurt you? Are you alright?" He asked worriedly. Cassie chuckled. "Stop worrying. I am fine. Now, hold on, let me help you up," She said and wrapped her hands around his waist. Kash stiffened for a while then she laughed. "Come on, Kash. Don't tell me that no one has touched you like this before." She laughed. "You're the first." He answered and she gasped. "Seriously?" She exclaimed. He nodded his head in agreement and she smiled before leading him up. They came out of the water together and Lily sighed in relief. "Kash is here!" Lily exclaimed. When the demons heard it, they all disappeared at once. Who would see death and still decide to stand? That was the case. Cassie bent down to Kash's level. "Are you fine now?" She asked and touched his forehead. "Give me five minutes, I'll be okay." He gave her a reassuring smile and she returned it. She turned and saw Asher. She didn't want to go and meet him incase he would yell at her again. Mr. Rayner helped Asher up and took him away. Crystal came to meet Cassie. "You're one of them, right?" Cassie asked. "What do you mean?" Crystal furrowed her eyebrows. "You're a witch! You called yourself my friend but you never cared to tell me that you are a supernatural too." Cassie said. "I wanted to-" "But you didn't!" Cassie cuts her off. "You know I and Lily are not friends. You should have told me that you were her maid." Cassie said. "I am not her maid." Crystal said. "But you're serving her. I am sure you were involved with what is happening with Asher. Same thing goes to Zeeva and Stella. Now, I don't even know who to trust. The only person I trust more than myself now is Kash." She said and Kash stood up. "Cassie, it isn't what you're thinking. I am not planning anything against you." Crystal said. "Just shut up! I saw everything! When I was in the water, so many things were reviewed to me. You all are bunch of liars!" She snapped. "Yeah! You're right. We get it, okay? We're bunch of liars. That's what we all are! You can't keep rubbing it on our faces." Lily snapped. "I have no business with you, Lily. Let me just give you guys this warning, if I see any of you close to I, Asher or Kash, I'll roàst you to bits." She said and held Kash's hand then took him to the classroom after changing her clothes. By that time, everything was already back to the way they were. The swimming class was canceled and rescheduled. It was free period and so, the students just sat to gist and have fun. Cassie started packing her stuff from Crystal's seat. "Where are you gonna sit?" Kash asked. "With you." She answered simply and after she was done, went to Kash's seat. She met Diego there and saw that he was resting his head on the desk. She tapped it and he looked up. "Sorry to disturb you. Please, can we switch seats?" She asked. "Why?" He whined. "I don't want to sit with my seatmate anymore. Please, let's switch seats." She pleaded with a cute smile and Diego nodded. "Sure!" He said, stood up and packed his bags. She smiled and sat down then patted on her seat for Kash to join her. Kash sat beside her and she turned to face him, looking at him intently. "Stop looking at me like that. It's weird." He said and looked away. "I'm looking for something. When I find it, I'll tell you." She said. "What actually happened in the water?" Kash asked. "A lot. It was like I was in a whirlpool or something like a tornado. While I was twirling and rolling in there, I saw what was happening in school. I saw how Crystal and Lily were trying to fight off the demons but the water took me to my parents." She said. "It did?" Kash gasped. "Yeah but I wasn't allowed to stay with them for a little while but it was worth it." She smiled. "I'm just happy that you're safe." He said. "I'm glad that you're fine too. Now tell me how you got hurt." She requested. "Even I don't know. It happened so fast. I was in the water, looking for you when suddenly dark balls started entering from above. I dodged some but one hit him and deactivated my powers." He explained. "Bummer! That was why I wasn't able to the real you." She said and he smiled. "Are you ready to get trained now?" He asked. "Really! Like now?" She asked excitedly. "Yeah. It's like we've been sluggish with your training. We need to act and train you fast. Anything can happen at any time, so we must be prepared." Kash said. "Yeah! I'm ready. What are we going to do first?" She asked. "Follow me." He stood up and she did same then followed him. *** "How did she find out?" Crystal snapped as she walked back and forth. "Didn't you hear when she said that she saw everything that happened?" Lily rolled her eyes. "So, she saw everything yet she pretended like she didn't know that we are in trouble." Crystal said. "That's why I've always warned you to stop defending the brat in everything. Just a little power that she has, she thinks that she is bigger than us." Lily said. "What are we going to do now, huh? How are we gonna manipulate her now?" Crystal asked. "Look! I am not ready to make friends with that girl. If we can't do it nicely then let's get tough." Lily said. "That's what you always say but whenever it comes for you to put those words into action, you'll be quiet for no reason." Crystal said. "Mind the way you talk to me, Crystal. I am the princess here, not the other way round." Lily said and walked away. Crystal scoffed. *** "Asher! I really don't understand what is wrong with you. Why would you behave in such a dumb way? The son I have is very calculative." Mr. Rayner said. "Nothing is wrong with me." Asher said. "Nothing is wrong? Yet, you keep foiling our plans. Allow Cassie to come closer to you now that she is coming by herself." Mr. Rayner said. "I was told to deal with her and that is what I'm gonna do. If I do that, then my master would be very happy."
