Chapter Twenty Five

His fangs popped out and his eyes went to her neck. Lily smiled at what she saw, her plan was close to accomplishment.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"I want to make you mine." He answered.
"Then waste no more time. Do it now!" She said.
"It's gonna hurt. Can you take it?" He asked.
"Yeah." She answered and shut her eyes.
Asher bent his head and just as he was about to bury his fangs in her neck, the light in the class went out. Lily gasped.
"What's going on?" She asked.
"I don't know." Asher answered.
She quickly stood up from the desk and arranged her gown then tried a spell to bring back the light but it isn't working.
"My powers aren't working!" She panicked.
"Mine too." Asher said.
The door to the classroom flew open and they saw Cassie with a mischievous smirk on her lips. The light came back on and anger flashed in Lily's eyes.
"You!" She growled, pointing her index finger at Cassie.
"Me, what!" Cassie asked with an eye roll as Kash came to stand beside her.
"You two! You ruined everything!" She snapped at them.
"No, we saved him from your wicked claws." Cassie said.
"How dare you refer to her as wicked?" Asher snapped at Cassie.
"Shut up!" Cassie snapped back. "Just shut the fvck up, Asher! I am highly disappointed in you. How could you be so naive?"
"What_"
"Keep quiet! I am not done talking. You know how mischievous Lily is, yet you made her put a spell on you. You are more than what you're doing. Snap out of it already!" Cassie said.
"Asher, don't listen to them. Get them already!" Lily snapped.
Asher was about to move but Kash surrounded him with water.
"You know fire and water have nothing in common. Try getting through and you're a goner." Kash said.
"Exactly!" Cassie smiled and walked up to Lily. She gave Lily a dirty slap grabbed her by the neck. "I knew you were bitçhy but I didn't know how you would go to such extent to destroy me." She yelled.
"Let go of me! You're gonna regret this! Asher!" Lily called but Asher couldn't move. "You dare to lay your hands on a royal blood, you're calling a death sentence for yourself." Lily yelled.
"The only thing you know how to do is threaten. You're so weak!" Cassie blurted out.
"I had everywhere covered but you ruined my plans! I won't forgive you for this, ever!" Lily exclaimed.
Cassie chuckled. "It's a good thing your moanings were so deafening. You were really having a good time." Cassie said.
"How did you hear? I had the whole place soundproofed and locked the door." Lily said and Cassie released her.
"Long story."

FLASH BACK
.
.
Cassie and Kash entered the school premises and headed for class immediately. They didn't want to miss Literature period, it was Cassie's favorite since she loved novels alot.
"After school today, can we visit the library of magic?" Cassie asked Kash as they walk down the halls.
"Are you sure you'll be able to do it?" Kash asked instead.
"Yes. I can control my powers a bit and I feel more energetic." She said.
"Hmmm," Kash looked at her.
"Please, I'm worried about Asher. Whatever reason Lily had for putting a love spell on him is definitely not a good one. We have to help him before something bad really happens." She said and Kash smiled.
"Alright. We'll visit the library after school." He said and she smiled.
"Thanks!" She said and stopped when they walked past a class.
"What is it?" Kash asked.
"Listen carefully." Cassie said and Kash halted too.
"Is that Lily's voice I'm hearing?" He asked.
"I think so," Cassie said and heard Lily moan. "I think she is with Asher. What could she be doing?" Cassie asked.
Kash cleared his throat. "I think that it's already obvious from what we are hearing." Kash answered and Cassie gasped.
"She is a witch, he is a vampire. If what I'm thinking is what is going on there, then he is going to mark her. We have to stop them!" Cassie said and was about to rush to the door but Kash held her.
"You can't rush in like that without a plan." Kash said.
"So, what do we do?" She asked.
"We stop them from inside before opening the door. I am sure Lily wouldn't just leave the door open for someone to barge in." Kash said and Cassie nodded.
"So, how do we stop them from the inside?" She asked.
"There wouldn't be an activity without any light right?" He asked and Cassie nodded.
She closed her palm and the light went out. "What next?" She asked and Kash whispered into her ears.
"Awesome!" She exclaimed and used her powers to push open the door.

END OF FLASH BACK
.
.
"And that's how we got here." Cassie laughed.
"I hàte you, Cassie! I hàte you so much!" Lily yelled.
"The feeling is mutual. Now, get out of here." Cassie said.
"Yeah! I'm getting out!" Lily yelled and stormed out.
Cassie faced Asher and he glared at her. She rolled her eyes instead. "We're going to cure you today whether you like it or not. Kash, I think it's best we leave him here, to avoid further trouble." Cassie said.
"Yes, sounds good." Kash said.
"Hey! You better not leave me here! Let me go!" Asher yelled.
"Say it louder! I can't hear you." Cassie said.
"I won't forgive you, Cassie!" Asher snapped.
"Don't worry big guy, you'll be the one asking for my forgiveness later." Cassie said.
"In your dreams." Asher scoffed and Kash laughed.
"Let's go, Kash." Cassie said.
Kash made sure Asher was properly placed in a way he wouldn't be able to use his powers or escape before leaving with Cassie after making the place soundproof and impenetrable.
****
"I almost had him in my palms! I was so close!" Lily screamed in frustration.
"Calm down." Crystal said. She didn't know about the plan all along. She would have found a way to stop Lily if she knew but thank goodness, Cassie did.
"Don't tell me to calm down! I am so màd at Cassie right now! I'm going to kíll her, if it's the last thing I'd do." Lily yelled.
"Someone who can break through your power shouldn't be taken likely, you know. Saying you'll kíll her as if it's gonna be easy isn't cool, so that reverse won't be the case." Stella said.
"Are you saying that she will kill me?" Lily asked.
"I'm just saying that you should be careful. This school has humans too and we can't risk getting exposed." Stella said.
"Stella is right." Crystal said.
"I agree." Zeeva chimed in.
"I don't give a damn about you guys opinions. I will make sure I repay Cassie back in triple folds and that's final." Lily yelled and walked out on them.
"I think that this is becoming an obsession." Stella said.
"We can't blame her though. Who wouldn't want Asher for herself," Crystal said, earning suspicious glances from Stella and Zeeva. "What?" She shrugged her shoulders and left too.

After school, Cassie came to meet Kash.
"Should we still check on Asher before leaving?" She asked.
"Don't worry about him. I made sure that no one would be able to get in and he won't be able to come out." Kash answered.
"Alright. Let's go!" She said. "Quick question though, is the library of magic located in my Kingdom?"
"No. It is a realm on its own." Kash said.
"That's a relief. Let's go then." She said.
***
*LIBRARY OF MAGIC*
Kash and Cassie appeared in front of the massive building of the library.
"Wow! It's golden." She exclaimed.
"Wait till you see the inside." He said as he led the way.
They got to the door and Kash knocked. A little hope appeared and a man's head popped out.
"Kash! What a pleasant surprise. What book are you here to argue over with me this time?" He asked and Kash rolled his eyes. "Ooh, and who is the pretty lady with you? Is she your girlfriend?" The man asked.
"Just open the damn door, Zaire! Must you always taunt me before allowing me in?" Kash asked.
"It wouldn't be fun for me if I didn't." Zaire said and Cassie giggled. He opened the door and they entered.
Zaire bowed to Cassie. "Welcome to the library of magic, my Princess." He smiled.
"You know me?" She asked.
"Of course I do." Zaire answered and she smiled.
"This place looks amazing! I don't ever wanna leave." She said as she adored the magnificent site. The books glowed in harmony, giving a peaceful feel to the library.
"Zaire, is there any book for undoing spells?" Kash asked.
"Yen yen yen yen, stop asking obvious questions." Zaire snapped at Kash and Cassie laughed.
"You two don't really get along, do you?" She asked.
"No, we don't and it's all Kash's fault. Any time he comes to this library, he would always argue with me." Zaire huffed.
"That's because you claim to know too much." Kash huffed too.
"At least, I am not a proud monkey like you." Zaire said and Cassie laughed.
"Congratulations, Kash. You now have a new name." She laughed again.
Kash rolled his eyes and continued looking for the book. "Come in, Zaire. Show me a book for undoing spells already. It's urgent and we haven't much time." He said.
"Fine." Zaire rolled his eyes and headed to the shelf.
Cassie was walking around and savoring the view when she got to the center table where the book was placed. She looked at the book and touched it then it glowed.
Zaire and Kash turned to her direction and Kash ran to her. Kash looked at the book and two of them faced each other.
Immediately they touched the book, it snapped open and Zaire gasped.
"Maggie, you have to get here now!"
