Chapter Twenty Six

"Maggie, you have to get here now!" Zaire said and Aunt Maggie appeared immediately.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Look!" He pointed to where Kash and Cassie stood dazed. The book was glowing and flying around them.
"How did they open it?" Aunt Maggie asked in a shocked manner.
"They just touched it and boom! It opened." Zaire explained.
"How is that possible?" Aunt Maggie asked as she walked up to them. "Cassie." She called.
"Aunt!" Cassie exclaimed and ran to hug her. Immediately she left, the book dropped on the center table and closed.
"Good day, your majesty." Kash greeted.
"Good day, Kash. What are you two doing here?" She asked.
"We came to find an undoing spell for Asher when Cassie found a book." Kash said and Cassie nodded.
"What is wrong with Asher?" Aunt Maggie asked.
"He was placed under a love spell by Queen Lucinda's daughter." Kash answered.
"Why?" Aunt Maggie exclaimed.
"She wants him to mark her." Cassie answered, disgust evident in her face.
"Those witches are so mischievous," Aunt Maggie snapped. "But that's not our concern now. Our concern is to find out how you two were able to open the book I and Zaire have been struggling to open for days." Aunt Maggie said.
Kash and Cassie looked at each other.
"Why don't you two try opening the book again?" Zaire asked.
"Okay." They answered and went to the book. "There is a writing on it." Cassie said.
Kash took a closer look and said, "It is written in ancient Greek."
"Can you translate it?" Zaire asked.
"Yes, I can." He answered.
"Well, translate it for us, please." Aunt Maggie pleaded.
"Okay," Kash said and traced hand on it. "The Legend Of Kash And Cassie. Battle For The Throne Of Athens." He said and everyone gasped.
"Kash and Cassie? You and me?" Cassie asked in confusion.
"Athens! That's the realm of pure magic." Aunt Maggie said.
"What does the book have to do with I and Kash?" Cassie asked.
"Let's open it and see. I think we will find the answers to our questions there." Zaire said.
Cassie and Kash placed their hands on the book and it opened. It was more like a story book.
"Why are the words inside understandable while the ones outside are not?" Aunt Maggie asked.
"This is all a mystery." Zaire said.
"Who is gonna read it?" Kash asked.
"I'm the library keeper. So, I'll read it." Zaire said.
Kash rolled his eyes, and moved aside. Zaire put on his reading glasses, and began, "Thousands of years ago, the realm of pure magic was ruled by Xena and Amon, two powerful supernaturals who were gifted with countless abilities, Xena was an Irish while Amon was a demon, a good one which shocked many,"
As Zaire continued reading, the book started displaying everything. They gasped and watched it like a movie. Zaire continued, "Then one day, their kingdom was attacked."

A Thousand Years Ago

There was bloodshed as the kingdom was thrown into an uproar. Swords flew in different directions as soldiers dropped to the floor like flies. Amon and Xena fought with all their might but it seemed that the witches had an upper hand. They had connived with the demons to take over the throne of pure magic.
The demon would use different methods to lure Amon to take sides with them but he refused and stood by Xena.
Both tried their best and fought with everything they believed in but soon, darkness took over. Amon and Xena were stabbed with a sword dipped in witches poison and both fell into the ocean. In the ocean, they held hands together and vowed not to separate, even in death.
In their embrace, both joined their souls together and made it into a ball.
"We promised to be together, Amon. Our souls will find solace in a supernatural being. A thousand years to come, a baby would be born and inside that baby will our souls abide. She would become the ruler of the realm of pure magic." Xena said as blood gushed out of the sword in her chest.
"In this ocean we died but will find our solace here too. The child and the ocean shall become one and because of the demon blood she would have, there would be a pure soul to stand by her side. He will come from the water as well and both of them shall become one." Amon said and their souls flew up and disappeared. With hands wrapped around each other, they breathe their lasts.

A Thousand Years Later,
In the kingdom of Oreklion, a soul said to be the purest was born. The sky lit up with stars and the ocean danced in celebration. The water kingdom was thrown into a fit of celebration as the child came out with a mark of purity. That child's name was Kash.

On a night that was very cold and dark, a baby girl was born. It was as if an earthquake had landed. The ocean rose and fell, the sky flashed with lightning, great trees fell to the ground and evil had no peace that night. Her name was Cassandra.
As the prophecy made by Amon and Xena foretold, this two souls shall meet each other. One, a half Irish and half demon and the second, the purest of souls. This is where the Legend Of Kash And Cassie begins.

Zaire stopped and Aunt Maggie gasped.
"I'm a half Irish and half demon?" Cassie asked.
"Yes dear. You have the souls of Amon and Xena in you." Zaire explained.
"So, her powers weren't locked while she was a child?" Aunt Maggie asked.
"Yes. It was waiting for the right time to surface." Zaire said.
"I'm so speechless." Kash sighed. All these were too much for him to bear.
"Please, continue reading." Aunt Maggie said.
Cassie looked into the book. "Aunt, look. That's me and you, on my first day in school." Cassie said.
"You're right. It is saying a story of what has been happening till now. This was where you almost killed Lily, where you met Asher, Kash and now that you're in the library." Aunt Maggie said.
They opened another page but it was blank.
"What's going on?" Kash asked.
"I think you two are going to write the remaining story on your own." Zaire said and they faced him.
"How?" They asked.
"The more things happen to you as from now till forever, the book will write it down. So, this is your story and it is up to you two to give it a happy ending." Zaire said.
"I'm confused." Cassie put her hands on her head and Kash held her.
"You'll know as time goes on. Please, it is up to you two to decide fate. Be careful of the decisions you're going to make. The ending of this story depends on the both of you." Aunt Maggie said.
"I understand. We'll try our best right, Cassie?" Kash asked.
"Yeah, whatever." She said as she leaned on him.
"You two may go now." Zaire said.
"I need some fresh air." Cassie said and started leaving.
"Are we forgetting something?" Kash asked and both exclaimed.
"Asher!"
