Chapter Thirty Two

Mia and Ian gasped.
"Come on, Kash. We can sort this out. There is no reason to get all violent," Mia said, stepping back.
"She is right, Kash." Ian chimed in.
"Just shut up!" Kash snapped and they held their lips. They knew better than to annoy him further. He was the one who could end their lives in a blink of an eye, so they respected themselves.
"Let us go and we won't disturb Cassie again. We promise!" Mia said.
Kash only rolled his eyes. "Now that I think about it, sending you guys to hèll wouldn't be a good punishment, since that's where you two came from. I have a better idea," He said with a mischievous smirk on his lips.
They moved back as he followed them. They tried to disappear but couldn't.
"Kash, please don't do this!" Mia said, knowing that the situation was already hopeless.
The door suddenly opened and Aunt Maggie entered. "What is going on here?" She asked and looked at Kash before diverting her gaze towards Mia and Ian.
"Are you two going to answer her or not?" Kash asked them.
They opened their mouths to speak but their words got stuck like they had a lump in their throats.
"Bad energy!" Aunt Maggie said.
"They're demons who came to capture the princess," Kash said and Aunt Maggie gasped.
"In this house?" She snapped and they flinched.
"Don't worry, your majesty. I have already thought of how to deal with them. You don't need to worry," Kash said.
"I would love to see what will happen to them. They are Drake's followers, no doubt about that." Aunt Maggie rolled her eyes.
"Please, we promise to stay away. Please, let us go!" Mia pleaded, but Kash and Aunt Maggie acted deaf.
Kash stretched his hand and brought them forward from where they stood. He closed his eyes and muttered something.
"Kash! Please, you can not dothis!" Ian pleaded.
Kash didn't say anything. Immediately he opened his eyes, Mia and Ian disappeared.
"Where are they?" Aunt Maggie asked.
"I put them in a time loop!" Kash answered.
"What! That's the worst punishment you could give them. I'm not worried about them anyway but they should remain wherever they are for a few days."
"Thank you, your majesty." Kash bowed.
"Can you please quit the formality? I'm not used to it." Aunt Maggie groaned.
Kash pressed his lips into a thin line..
"What should I call you then?" He asked.
"Call me Aunt, okay? Quit the majesty stuff." She said and he smiled.
"Okay, Aunt."
"Good!" She smiled.
Aunt Maggie took one last look at Cassie's sleeping figure before leaving the room. Kash sat down beside the bed and stared at her.
"I watched you grow and knew I was supposed to be your guardian. I didn't bargain to become your soulmate. I didn't bargain for the feelings I'm having for you either," He sighed. "Whatever your decision will be in the future, I will always stand by you and give you a happy ending." He said and stood up then disappeared.

Master Drake tapped his leg rhythmically on the hard floor. "Where is Mia and Ian? They should be here by now." He said impatiently.
"I'm sure they are on their way." Jake, one of the demons that stood beside him said.
"On their way? How long is capturing a sleeping person supposed to take?" Master Drake asked rhetorically.
"I am certain they are on their way. Please, be calm and patient," Jake said.
"I am done with being patient," Master Drake said and stood up. "I am going there by myself."
"Master Drake, that isn't a good idea. You know it has been ages, since you visited the human world." Jake pleaded.
"Get ready, Jake. You are coming with me." He said, ignoring Jake's statement.
"Master, you can't go!"
"I am going! Things would have been good if I had done all these by myself. Now, I sent two demons and they can't even succeed in capturing a sleeping person," Master Drake said.
"I think you should give them time. Capturing her won't be easy since she has a guardian. Maybe, they are battling with the guardian now."
"But the plan was to lure the guardian here, not fight him."
"I know, Master Drake. Give them sometime, and if they aren't able to deliver, then you can go to earth." Jake said.
Master Drake sighed and sat down. "Alright. I'll wait but I am not that patient," He said.
"I understand. Thank you, Master." Jake smiled and bowed.

"Good morning, Aunt Maggie!" Cassie squealed as she came down from the stairs and headed for the kitchen.
"Morning, cupcake." Aunt Maggie replied, flipping the pancakes she was preparing.
Cassie hugged her from the back. "I slept like a baby. How about you?" She asked.
"I slept well too, dear. Where is Kash?" Aunt Maggie asked.
"Aunt, why are you asking if Kash is my roommate?" Cassie pouted.
"It's past seven in the morning and he isn't here yet, so I'm worried." Aunt Maggie replied.
"He isn't in my room, but I'll call him," She said. "Kash!" She called and he appeared.
"Good morning!" He greeted her with a smile on his face.
Cassie turned and looked at him from head to toes. His hair was still wet and it stuck on his face, making him look more sexy.
"Did you just get out of the shower?" Aunt Maggie asked when she noticed the silence and looked back.
"Not immediately." He answered.
"You should have dried the hair before coming." Aunt Maggie looked at Cassie and smiled.
"I had to come, since she was the one that called me." Kash answered.
Cassie scratched her head and looked away.
"Cassie, why are you suddenly quiet?" Aunt Maggie asked teasingly.
"I... um... I'll be in the living room," She said and rushed out.
Aunt Maggie chuckled and continued with what she was doing. "You can go set the dining table, Kash. Breakfast is ready!" She said.
Kash smiled and left to set the table.

Asher leaned on the door in the hallway, waiting for Cassie. He hoped she wouldn't be with Kash this time around. He disliked the fact that they were always together. He hated it whenever Cassie smiled at Kash or touched him. He should have been her guardian. What does Kash have that he didn't?
"A pure heart," His subconsciousness said and he frowned.
"Whatever!" He rolled his eyes and looked ahead. He saw Cassie entering the school premises with a smile on her face. That smile, that smile that charmed him the very first day he saw it. Everything about her was mesmerizing. The way she walked, talked, acted and even her anger was cute. He wished she would be his and he was going to do anything to make that wish come true.
"Hi Asher." She smiled as she approached him.
"Hey, Cassie. How is your morning?" He asked.
"Great! Yours?"
"It was cool," He looked around. "Where is Kash?" He asked.
"Kash isn't around at the moment." Cassie answered.
"Oh, okay. Let's go in then," He said.
They entered the halls and he escorted her to get a locker. Suddenly, everyone heard a loud thud and all eyes went to where the sound came from. It was Lily!
"I told you to hold the wheelchair well. Why can't you do anything right?" Lily yelled at Zeeva.
"You were the one who told me to wheel you faster to where Asher and Cassie are. Why are you blaming me for your fall? I simply did what you asked me to do." Zeeva answered.
"And yet you couldn't do it right," Lily said.
"Man, I can't wait for these two weeks to end." Zeeva scoffed.
"Take me up and put me on the chair." Lily ordered.
"A simple please would have been fine." Zeeva rolled her eyes.
"So, because I'm not able to control my body, you are thinking of me as a liability right?" Lily asked.
"You're going overboard with this." Zeeva answered.
"You know what, let me be! I'll wheel myself to wherever I wanna go. You're just useless!" Lily snapped.
"Okay." Zeeva shrugged and moved aside.
Lily tried to get up but fell down. The students burst into laughter as they began murmuring amongst themselves.
"She is so pathetic!"
"Imagine her calling herself the queen of the school."
"Whoever or whatever made her this way deserves an accolade."
"True. Serves her right, though."
"Let us see who she is going to bully in this condition."
They laughed again and Lily sighed. She heard everything and knew she wouldn't be able to get up on her own, but her pride didn't allow her to ask for help.
"Lily looks paralyzed," Asher said.
"Looks? She is paralyzed." Cassie replied as she picked her textbook from the locker.
"How did that happen?" Asher asked.
"Long story."
***
"I can't wait anymore! I'm going to the human world!" Master Drake said and stood up.
"Master! Master_"
"Silence!" He cuts Jake off. "Nothing can change my mind this time. Are you coming with me or not?" He asked.
"Whatever you wish, Master." Jake bowed.
"Good! Watch out Princess Cassandra, you're going to receive a visitor."
