Chapter Eight

"Oh my gosh!" She gushed and Asher frowned. Cassie blinked twice, was she in all those her crazy dreams again? If she is, she never wanna wake up. She forgot all about Asher and started drooling.
Kash smirked. "Good morning." He said and his voice alone made her weak in the knees. She didn't reply... she couldn't reply but just continued staring at him.
Asher who had been watching everything displeasingly cleared his throat. Kash withdrew from the handshake and turned to face him. Asher was speechless, if he (Asher) was handsome then this guy was drop dead handsome. He wouldn't blame Cassie for drooling because if he was a girl, he would have done the same thing.
"Hi." Kash smiled, obviously, that smile didn't reach his face.
Asher felt a bit intimidated. This guy was very powerful and he could feel it.
"Hey." He managed to say.
"G... G... Go_" Cassie tried to greet but her words were already stuck in her throat.
"Should I help you with that?" Kash asked, smiling charmingly.
Cassie put herself together, closed her eyes and exhaled. Kash chuckled, it was true, she is cute, Innocent and naive. "Hi, good morning. Nice to meet you." She said when she finally got back to her senses.
"Nice to meet you, too. I'm Kash." He said and bowed.
"Um, I'm Cassandra but you can call me Cassie." She said, smiling dreamily.
"Can we go now?" Asher asked, obviously irritated at the way Cassie smiled at this new random guy. Where the héll did he come from anyway?
"Calm down, dude. Let's go, Cassie." He smiled and she followed him, forgetting about Asher completely.
Asher blinked twice. What just happened? Did she just act like he didn't exist? Wait... Has this new guy charmed her or what? What sort of spell has he used on her to make her obey him like that? He gasped. What if he is after her like everybody else?
"No." Asher said and followed them immediately.
Kash entered the assembly halls with Cassie. A girl screamed when she saw him, interrupting the whole session. She pointed at Kash and fainted. Everyone, including Mr. Rayner looked to Kash's direction and were dumbstruck. The hall turned to a Haven of shrieks and murmuring. Mr. Rayner stretched but couldn't see Kash since majority of the students were already in front of him.
"He is an angel!"
"Did he fall from the sky?"
"I think God wants to bless us girls in this school by sending such a beauty to us."
"Oh my gosh! He is super duper cute!"
"Look at those eyes! And his hair! Someone fan me, I think that I'm gonna pass out."
"Looks like Asher's got a competition." A guy said and Asher frowned more.
What was the meaning of all these? He was the one who always gets screams from the girls but now, this... psycho just burst out of nowhere and is taking his glory.
The Principal managed to calm the students down, especially the girls. He had to dismiss them early so they could go to class but he was wrong. It gave them the opportunity to surround Kash with him at the middle. They pushed Cassie to the side and Asher held her while Kash used his eyes to search for her. He wasn't going to let her out of his sight.
"Excuse me, I'd like to go through." Kash said but they weren't ready to listen. He facepalmed. Jeez! Are humans like this? Do they just go cràzy over a good looking guy? He wished this was his kingdom, he would have just teleported out of their midst like he always does whenever the ladies there try to touch him.
"Why are they surrounding him like that? It's not like they haven't seen a handsome guy before." Cassie hissed.
"You acted like them few minutes ago, remember?" He asked.
She bit her lips. "I didn't try touching him or make body contacts. These girls are only trying to be bitçhy." Cassie said.
"Am I getting a hint of jealousy?" Asher asked shockingly. This is absurd! How can she get jealous over a guy she just met? Seriously!
"I'm not jealous. I'm only saying what I think." She said and started walking away while Asher followed her.
Kash saw her walking away with Asher and cursed under his breath. "Okay, everyone stop!" He snapped and they halted. "I need to go, okay? We can do this later, not now." He smiled at them and hurried out before they would try to stop him again. After he left, they started murmuring again.
"He smiled at me! Oh my goodness! He actually smiled at me."
"Oh please, I was the one he smiled at."
"We forgot to get his phone number."
"Oh No!"
"First to get his phone number wins his heart!"
"I'm definitely going to win."
"In your dreams."

Cassie was about to enter her class when Asher stopped her. She looked at him to know what was wrong.
"You know this ain't my class, right?" He asked.
"Oh," She smiled nervously. "I'm sorry, I totally forgot." She said.
"No problem. We'll get to train after lunch right?" He asked.
"Yes, since we have free period then." She said.
"Okay, bye and be careful." He smiled at her and left.
She entered the class and Crystal was still not on the seat. "Isn't she in school? I hope she is alright." She muttered to herself as she sat down. She ignored the stares the students were giving her and started taking her math notebook out. Math was the only subject she was finding very difficult to understand. She decided to see if she could solve some equations before the teacher for that period enters.
She bit her pen as she scribbled some things down. She didn't even understand what she was writing, all she knew was that she was solving the equation... in her own way.
"It's wrong."
She heard that sexy voice again and slowly turned to look at him.
"Hi, Kash." She waved.
"Hey! Solving an equation... cool." He said and sat down beside her then she stiffened. He noticed it and faced her.
"What happened?" He asked.
"I'm just not used to sitting with a..." She wanted to say a cute guy but decided against it. "...guy. They might start suspecting us." She said, pointing to her classmates who were already glaring at her.
Kash laughed. "Let them suspect whatever they want to. I've only come to help you solve the equation." He said and picked up her pen.
"Can you do it?" She asked.
"Yeah." He said and started solving it. Within 2 minutes, he had finished all 3 questions. Cassie opened her textbook and compared the answers, it was correct!
"Wow! You're a genius!" She exclaimed without knowing and the girls glared harder.
"Out of all the pretty girls in this school, he chose to hang out with that weirdo." A girl muttered.
Kash heard it and frowned but smirked afterwards. The girl that insulted Cassie picked up a bottle of water and drank, Kash made the water choke her real hard as she coughed strongly. He smiled to himself and faced Cassie who wasn't aware of what just happened.
"Could you teach me, please?" She asked them she remembered what Asher told her. He told her not to trust anybody, especially Supernaturals who are claiming to be friends with her. Could this cute guy be one of them? Also, Aunt Maggie has told her that she would meet a new person in school today, coming to think of it, could this Kash guy be the one?
"You look confused." He said and she cleared her throat.
"Yeah. Nevermind about the teaching. I'll confirm something and get back to you tomorrow." She said.
"Okay." He nodded.
"Um... is this the class that was given to you?" She asked.
"No, I came on my own." He answered.
"Wait, you didn't go to the Principal's office to confirm your admission?" She asked and he shook his head. "Stand up, you need to go so that you can know where you belong. You do not wanna miss any tests, do you?" She asked.
"No. I also don't know where the Principal's office is located." He said.
"I'll take you there." She said.
He stood up and followed her till they got there. "Here it is," She pointed to the door. "Just go in and answer his questions, okay? Bye." She smiled and left.
Kash smiled. "My princess is a sweet little girl. No wonder she easily gets tricked but not to worry, I am here to make sure that doesn't happen anymore. I wish you'll comply when I tell you who I truly am." He said.
He knocked on the door and entered without waiting for an answer. He walked over to Mr. Rayner's table and met Asher there. He helped himself with a seat and faced them.
Mr. Rayner recognized who he was right away. He was an ancient vampire who had lived for thousands of years, he knows almost everyone in the supernatural realm, including Kash and his father. He knew immediately that Kash being here is bad news for him.
He hid his anxiety behind a stern face and asked, "Kash, what are you doing here?"
Kash's once smiling face turned serious. "Isn't it obvious? I'm here to stop you."
