Chapter one hundred and two

His silence was more scary to Renny. She wished he wouldn't take the broken vase to heart.
"Please don't be angry. I'll buy another" she added when she didn't know what to say.
Carl gave a cold laughter that showed he was mocking her and Renny didn't know what exactly is funny.
"How much do you have that you want to buy a one of its kind vase?" His cold look as returned and it was more fierced.
"What is made can be remade. Why is he then putting a big deal on it" she said in her heart.
Since she won't dare say what is in her heart she just bowed her head and kept quiet. She was waiting for her judgement. She knew he won't be merciful on her in anyway since they ain't on good terms.
"Follow me" he ordered and went out. Renny followed him with her head bowed. This wasn't because she was afraid of what he will do. She knew he would not kill her for breaking a vase but she knew her mother will be so disappointed and sad at her clumsiness. That's was the reason for her sadness.
As she followed, she didn't know that he had stopped walking she just bumped into him with her head hitting his back.
"Sorry" she quickly apologized and moved back.
She didn't know why she got so unlucky today. If she had been informed earlier about the owner of this building, she would have avoid coming at all cost but no, no one did and she's gotten into this mess now.
Carl turned to look at her.
"You just broke a vase, do you want to break my backbone again?" He insulted crudely.
Renny pouted.
" As if his back is not as hard as the rock. How would my little head break it?" She said in her heart rudely.
If she had known that every single thought of hers is been heard by him she wouldn't have dared say what she is saying.
Carl knew he was dealing with a very stubborn lady and he is also determined to teach her a great lesson.
When they got to the living room, Renny's mother was still busy with the chores. She had on her ears headset that she didn't notice them.
Carl also didn't signal to her to let her know of his arrival. He just stood there looking at the woman working with enthusiasm.
Renny also knowing what she had done, didn't say a thing. She just stood behind Carl like a caught criminal.
After a little while, her mother felt some presence and looked up. She then saw Carl standing. She quickly remove the headset and move to him.
"Dr Devikings" she called politely and quick bowed.
Carl also returned the bow by doing the same.
Renny snorted at his show of politeness.
"What a pretense of character" she thought in ire.
Carl looked at her and this made her heart skip.
"How may I help you sir?" Renny's mother asked with a professional smile.
"Do you know this lady?" He asked pointing at Renny who was behind him.
Renny looked up and saw that fear was registered on her mother's face.
"Oh no mum is angry" she thought and wanted to cry.
" Yes sir I do" she replied.
Renny's mother was wondering what happened between the two. The look on Carl made it known that something has gone wrong.
"What has she done sir?" She asked.
"She just broke my favorite vase after insulting me heavily" he said impassively.
Renny's mother widen her look. She couldn't believe what she heard at first. This isn't the first time she and Renny will work together and she knows the work ethic.
Since they've been working she had never go against an ethic. Now even when she want to make the mistake, not to a Devikings. So hearing this now was surprising.
After recovering from her shock, she dart her daughter a very hostile look.
She was wondering what got into her ever composed daughter. She is always careful whenever she's picking staffs to do some certain cleaning.
She had picked Renny to accompany her because she trust her to handle everything with care. But this news got her shocked and sick. She didn't even do it elsewhere but at a Devikings's house.
"I'm so sorry sir" she quickly pleaded on her behalf.
She couldn't even bare to look at Carl in the eye.
" That vase is one of its kind and was gotten from a far away African country" he explained calmly.
" Ah" Renny's mother breathed.
She didn't know what she is to do in this kind of situation. She knew how much can she offer that a Devikings wouldn't spend in just an hour.
"Renny what exactly got into you?" She asked in fear and anger.
Renny's voice trembled.
" It wasn't intentional mum" she said already in the practice of wanting to cry. " It was his fault. He scared me" she added in her heart.
" Dr Devikings we are so sorry. I tell you it is unlike her to get clumsy at work. We plead for your mercy sir" she begged enerstly.
She didn't know what else to do to save themselves. She knew if Carl is to take it to heart, not only Renny will be affected. Even her business will suffer the loss.
" Well I don't want to look so wicked as your daughter is thinking right now..."
He paused looking at the woman with a clear look.
