Chapter one hundred and three

He paused looking at the woman with a clear look.
The poor woman was so scared that he would tell them he no longer need their service. This job is very important to her. It wasn't only the money she got from this job that made her happy.
She was so happy when she got this contract. As far as she knows the Devikings has never hired a country cleaner. They do bring their cleaners from abroad.
So this job means so much. Not about the money but it can go a long way in paving ways for their business and it can also destroy their business if anything goes wrong. She was extremely worried.
Renny on the other hand who was standing behind Carl didn't even think much about the consequences, she was just slandering him in her heart. She knew there's no words that can persuade him not to do what he wants to do in his heart.
"Ain't you wicked?" She thought.
"....I'm not going to ask you for money" he continued. "Neither will I tell you to stop working. Although this happened through work I won't punish all for just a silly girl's mistake".
The two women sighed. Renny's mother was so grateful in her heart that it showed. She was so scared about him bearing a grudge against all.
Renny's thought was different from her mother's. She felt that everything was his fault. If he had not scared her she wouldn't have broken the vase. She just eyed his back.
At least the two women thought they were free. They thought no amount of punishment could be worse again but then what Carl said next, proved them wrong and was indeed a shocker to them.
"All she has to do is to go to Africa to get me another" he said casually.
The way he called Africa was like the Africa is just next door.
The women widen their eyes.
"What! You must be kidding me!" Renny unconsciously spitted out.
" Renny!" She received a glare from her mother.
Renny quickly realised her mistake and bowed murmuring an apology but it didn't stop her from insulting him in her heart.
Carl smiled inwards but frowned when he heard her thought.
"And he said he doesn't want to look wicked. What a bad guy" she thought in anger.
Carl felt like to talk but he knew he couldn't. It was like punishment to him. No one has ever used their thoughts to insult him talk more of this much. It was always full of worship and hearing Renny everytime is a frustration.
"Dr Devikings" Renny's mother called softly with a pitiful look.
Carl looked at her.
"Please, she's still a student and in her last year. Can you please spare her from going to Africa?" She pleaded.
" I wish to ma'am but what am I to do? I can't fall asleep without the vase in my bedroom. It's a treasure to me" he replied.
" Ah" she breathed.
" What a lie" Renny thought raising her nose in disgust.
Carl looked at her but she quickly looked away. She didn't fail to see the mockery on his handsome face. She knew he is up to something very evil.
Renny's mother was getting so restless and she looked at her daughter to realise she isn't even looking bothered. She was ruining thing and she looked so relaxed.
Even though she knew her daughter to be a tough one but not at this moment when things seems to be going wrong for her. She expected her to plead but she still has a stubborn look on. She wondered what transcended between them before the broken vase.
The poor woman didn't want to think that something like harassment happened. She knew the Devikings's men to be very decent and well trained men. So she shook the thought from her head.
"Who would harass that little witch" Carl thought.
"Renny" she called.
Renny moved closer to her mother.
"Apologize" she commanded.
She thought apology may ease her from her huge punishment. Where do they know in Africa that she want to agree on letting her daughter go?
"Mum no amount of plea will change his heart" she whispered to her mother.
" How did you know?" She whispered back sternly.
" Don't you see his look? Don't let me waste apology. Just let him do what he wants" she said cussedly.
Her mother seems to catch an headache because of her stubbornness. She didn't know why she is reluctant.
Carl on the other hand raised a brow at Renny's pride. He then smirked.
"Wait for me I'll surely deal with you" he thought.
" Sir, don't be angry. I'm just throwing my little idea that can we send another in her place?"
The poor woman wouldn't watch him send her daughter to an unknown place without trying her best even if the daughter is not helping matters.
"Of course that's not a problem" he agreed.
The two women looked at each other suprised. Renny felt so suspicious about the quick agreement while her mother was happy.
"Even if I'm to go to Africa, I'll make sure I never return and that sleep that you will won't get because of a vase, you won't get it till old age. You will die of amnesia" she thought venomously.
She knew that his sudden approval means he is devising another devilish act. His calm demeanor couldn't be trusted.
