Chapter one hundred and five

If he hadn't controlled his expression he wouldn't be able to hide his shock too when his housekeeper said seven month.
He was only expecting him to say a month or two but the guy went to the extreme. He knew he couldn't blame the guy because he knows nothing about what he is talking about. At least he didn't say something that wouldn't impress him. He was impressed because of the shock it gave Renny.
"Sir do you mean she would have to work with you for seven month?" Her mother asked helplessly.
There is no way for her to fight against him.
"Isn't it clear enough?"
"Sir she's still a student" she said sadly.
" I can't leave the space empty" he said blankly.
" Sir I know you've showed us great clemency and we don't deserve more but please visit my last request" she said trying to be careful not to make him angry.
Carl didn't say anything. He was just smiling in his heart as Renny was boxing imaginary him in her heart.
"Can't any other replace her?" She asked when she saw that he didn't object.
"No, I don't put my life in the hands of strangers" he disagreed.
Renny's mother didn't understand what he meant. She was to engross in pleading for her daughter than to read meaning to his words. She felt so speechless. Nothing was coming forth to counter what he said.
"Look at how he's talking as if he knows me that well" Renny thought.
" Well I need the vase as soon as possible and you know what that means" he said looking at Renny and then walked out.
Renny received a gloomy look from her mother. Her mother felt like to hit her. Her mother's reaction brought tears to her eyes
"Mum don't be angry. The guy has always been mean to me with no course" she cried softly.
Her tears flowed down to her cheek. She was really cursing Carl in her heart. She didn't know what she did to derive such animosity from him.
"What do you mean?" She looked at her daughter with a confused look.
"Have you forgotten that Kim married into the Devikings's family?"
Her mother gave a wide look as it was done on her. Then she could now fix his statement 'I don't put my life in the hands of strangers'.
"I tell you mum, the vase is not as important as the punishment he wants to give me. Since the day he set his eyes on me he just hate me" she added.
" What did you do to him? Did you offend him?"
Her mother knew that when a Devikings wants to deal with you, they will and nothing will change their mind. So she feared for her daughter if she had offended him.
"Not for once. He just decided to bear grudge for no reason" Renny said shaking her head.
She received a disbelieving look from her mother.
"Are you sure?" She asked again
She knew her daughter's temper and how she couldn't control it.
"I'm sure mum. It was hatred at first sight" she sniffed.
" Why not ask Kim for help?"
Renny shook her head.
" Won't I look so pathetic that way? That's exactly what that wicked guy wants. He just want me to feel miserable."
Her mother moved closer to her and gave her a hug being that there's nothing she could do to save her. She was sure that Carl Devikings won't kill her.
"Don't worry darling, all will be well" she patted her back.

"I'm off to lunch" Kim told Barb who was focused on her computer.
Barb looked up and gave her a smile.
"Yes ma'am".
"Won't you go?" She asked.
Barb shook her head. "I brought my lunch".
"Ok" Kim said and then left.
She was going to fulfill her promise to Carter. She walked to the elevator and her conscience couldn't leave her.
"You are going to have lunch with another man when your husband is in the office working so hard. Ain't you a bad wife?" Her conscience spoke.
" That's not true. It's only a friendly meal" she told herself.
" Look at you. All you know is to think of what your husband does not do right. Shouldn't you be the one to prepare lunch for your husband?" Her conscience scolded again.
" Ah".
Now she felt so guilty. She felt like she wronged her husband. She lost interest in the lunch she was going for. She planned to tell Carter that she is married when she get to the cafe and then leave.
When she entered the cafe, she tried to look for him quickly. She wasn't planning on eating with him.
"Here Kim" he shouted.
