"You didn't tell me that today is the trip" Kim said when Jeff came to pick her from school.
She didn't even know he was coming, it was the shout of students that she heard and made her rush to see who it was. Then it was then she saw it was because of her husband. She was suprised and happy to see him at the same time.
She rushed out to go meet him. He then spread his arms wide for her to go in. Kim embraced him tightly.
"Hey baby" he hugged her back.
"You didn't tell me you were coming" she said looking up at him happily.
She knew that those looking at them will want to die of envy. She wished Tasha and her friends were there. Funny enough, there were there looking at her from the window.
Tasha was grinding her teeth together while Helen was having a sinister smile.
" Wanna surprise you" he smiled.
As they journeyed back home, Kim wondered why he took it upon himself to come pick her today. So then she asked.
"You didn't tell me that today is the trip".
" It's not today" he replied.
" Then why come pick me?"
Jeff didn't reply he just gave her a sweet smile.
Kim didn't even bother him she just kept silent. She knew something was on his mind but she couldn't figure it out. It was then she discovered they were not heading home neither were they heading to the office.
"Where are we off to?" She asked curiously.
" Don't be too curious baby. We will soon be there" he said patting her head.
Kim waited patiently but later she fell asleep.
"Hey baby" she heard a whisper.
She stirred a bit and then tried to sleep again but Jeff shook her gently. She remembering where she was opened her eyes. Jeff was already on her side towering over her. She blinked her eyes severally.
Jeff smiled because she looked to him like a doll.
"We're here".
Kim looked outside to see where they were and realised it was an hotel but it wasn't any she knew.
"Where are we?" She asked as she got down from the car.
"Balrine suites" he replied.
Kim shone her eyes. That's a seven star hotel and a very popular one but no one could book except it is a year earlier because it's always filled up. Has she heard, it's always a glorious vacation site to those who were lucky to book it.
"Are you kidding me?" She almost shouted.
Kim knew her marriage to Jeff wasn't even anything near a year.
" Nope" he said holding her hands as they walked inside.
"When did you book this place?" She asked knowing the criteria for acquired just a room.
"Don't need that" he boasted.
Kim didn't understand him.
"What do you mean?"
"Shhhh" he said to her and they walked to the reception.
When they got in, all activities seems to stop and some men rushed at them and they bowed.
"You room is ready sir" one said with a bow.
Kim envisaged that one to be their boss being that the rest followed after him. Kim was suprised at their gesture.
"Mrs Devikings, I'm Tom and the manager of this suite. I will be at your service ma" he said to Kim.
Kim couldn't even say anything. She just bowed to reply so as not to disgrace herself the more.
Jeff was smiling at how she was trying to contend her shock. Everyone around was just suprised that he was smiling. They know him to be rigid and cold.
All through their walk to their room, Kim seems so confused. She didn't know why he brought her to such expensive place. She wondered what she did to deserve such treatment.
"Are you shocked?" He asked when they get into the elevator.
Jeff wouldn't let the rest ride with them so they took different elevators.
"Hmm" Kim nodded.
"Why?" He asked as if he never knew.
"When have you been planning this?"
She thought maybe he would have booked this place so that he and his wife would come here and now that she accidentally became his wife, he brought her.
"Yester night".
Kim widen her look.
"Yester night and you were able to get reservation?" She asked unbelievably.
She thought he was joking with her.
"Just a phone call did it" he said casually.
" You are not joking, or are you?" She asked with a cynic look.
" No I'm not" he said and the elevator opened.
The place was so beautiful that Kim was just drinking in the beautiful scene. The people who said it was like sightseeing were not lying.
"Wow!" She couldn't help but say. "Didn't know such place exist" she added with admiration.
By the time they got there, people were already waiting to attend to them. They all bowed to welcome them.
They went inside. Jeff was patient with Kim as she sightsee. He smiled at her exclamations. He even patiently answered all her questions.
