"She shouldn't have try to disgrace me" she thought defensively.
" I don't care" he said crisply.
The dinner ended and everyone moved to their respective rooms.
"I don't like that girl" Maureen told her husband.
Dean pulled her to himself.
" Just leave them. Kim is capable of taking care of herself" he said kissing her nose.
" But that girl is a thorn in her flesh. I just wish Jeff could cut all ties with her" she complained.
" That wouldn't be possible. You know he is the largest investor in her father's company. He will lose a lot of money if he withdraw".
Maureen wasn't still convinced.
" He can do it for his wife".
"Why not let's leave them to solve their issue and let us face ours" he said plastering kisses on her neck.
"What's ours?" She asked naively.
Just as she finished her questions, she had her mouth sealed, then it answered her questions.
Back in the living room was Kim, Jeff and Lucy. Kim didn't volunteer to stay but Jeff wouldn't let her leave.
The worst thing was she was seated on his lap. She felt so uncomfortable because this hasn't been done before.
Being so tired she didn't argue with him. She just place her face on his neck and decided to sleep. She didn't in anyway want to hear Lucy's voice not to talk of seeing her pretentious look.
Lucy wasn't feeling so good looking at this scene. She didn't even know when the two get so close to be displaying such love in her presence.
She thought that it was because of Kim gave Jeff her body that's why he changed suddenly. She thought if she has gotten the opportunity to satisfy Jeff with her body, Jim wouldn't even be able to come close because she would do it better. Little did she know that Jeff hasn't touched his wife ever since they got married.
"Fool" Jeff said in his heart.
Jeff wasn't happy with Lucy because her thoughts was making his own imagination run wild. He looked at the tired woman that he wrapped his hands around. She was sleeping soundly in his arms and he enjoyed the rhythm of her breath.
"What can I do for you?" Jeff asked.
"I... I... I came to inform you about the party of the K ton company and also the business meeting we have with them that you will be attending next week. I'm the one to prepare the necessaries, so I came to ask what you need?" She replied.
Seeing Kim on Jeff's laps told her she lost a battle but Lucy being who she is will never give up.
Jeff flashed her an angry look. Everything she just said now was just a very stupid excuse to just come visiting.
"When did you become my personal assistant?" He asked in anger.
Lucy looked at her finger. She knew Jeff has never allowed their company to take care of his things. No matter how they tried to convince him, he would decline.
She wouldn't have come if he had picked her calls. She even called his house and it was said that he was at the mansion.
It's not as if she didn't know that coming will get him vexed but she missed him too much. She wanted to see him. She couldn't wait till tomorrow but now she regretted her action been that he was all concentrating on Kim.
"Jay, I just wish to make you so comfortable" she said with a sad look.
"Is your hospitality better than the Devikings foundation?" He asked coldly.
She knew that it would be stupidity to say yes. They are not even close.
"If that's all. I need to go sleep".
He stood up with Kim in his hands. She stirred a bit but continued to sleep soundly. He then walked away leaving her on the seat.
She walked out in shame. She got to her car and cried bitterly. She was someone who was used to getting what she wanted but ever since she got interested in Jeff, she has not being able to get him.
Her father who loved her to be comfortable couldn't provide her Jeff. Her father had tried all his best possible to see him there could be a marriage collaboration between the two families but the Devikings never agreed to it.
But then she never lost hope. Now, there's someone who was crushing her hope. She wished she could make Kim disappear.

Kim was woken up by the very loud ringing tune of her phone. She was so reluctant to open her eyes but the phone wouldn't stop ringing. She then took the phone to check the caller. She was so surprised to see it was Tahsa.
"Why is she calling me?" Kim asked herself.
Since her marriage to Jeff, the Gramms never took it once to call her. Well they didn't even wish her congratulations. That was why she was wondering when true caller brought out Tasha's name as the one calling.
Kim knew that she must be up to something to call her this morning. So she didn't pick the call.
Her eyes fell on the big wall clock to see what time it is and she discovered it was already 8: 30 in the morning.
"Wow!" She exclaimed.
She's got work and she slept this much. Jeff will skin her alive. She quickly dropped the phone not minding it ringing and rushed to the bathroom. She got dressed and rushed outside.
"Ma'am breakfast is ready" the butler called at her.
He knew Kim's habit is to skip breakfast whenever she is late for work.
