chapter thirty three
The birthday party .
"I'm thinking of wearing this blue dress and this silver heels , what do you think ?? " Nancy held the clothes to her neck and stood in front of the mirror examining it .
Since her arrival, things has been going on smoothly and they've been getting along pretty well. Though something still itches at Emily and she just keep dismissing it.
"I don't have a dress,?? " Mera sulked.
"Looks who's talking. The dressing mogul . You've got a lot of pretty dresses though " . Said Emily who slept on the bed while peeling a tangerine and watching them all.
They have been invited by the winters,who apparently had been a long family friend to the Gerald. They were going to travel to Paris for birthday party of their oldest son.
Emily would have love nothing more than to play with froggie all day in the large bath with lot of herbal oil , than waste her precious time in smiling stiffly all day while trying so hard not to let her dress get ripped by her heels.
"What about you ?? " Nancy directed the question to Emily .
" What about it ?? Me ?? " She spoke in between mouthful of tangerine and searching for a place to dump the seed.
"Stop being gross . You're gross. " Mera slap Emily's hand away . And Emily scrunched her nose at him .
"Aren't you going to plan anything? The clothes you'll wear for the party and blah blah ? Your manicure? Makeup? Anything at all. "
"All that for me ?? " Emily gasped
"Dearie , dearie . You shouldn't waste your previous saliva and energy on this girl. She's irredeemable. Duh " Hana smiled sweetly at Nancy who couldn't look more suprised

"For the make up part , you'll do it for me." Emily winked at Nancy .
"So aren't you going to pack anything? Your toiletries and sorts ? " Nancy asked again
"Gurl , imma pack everything within two minutes. Just my panties , bra and tooth brush. And just that. "
"Woow, you're incredible. " Nancy gave her thumbs up.
"Hana what about you?? What are you gonna wear to the birthday party? " Emily queried.
"I have a particular dress in mind. Remember the red dress? The one with the slit ? That we bought from the french modiste? I'm planning to wear that one since I haven't wear it before." Hana said
Great ! Just great ! Everyone had something to wear and here she was planning to wear a pant and a blouse. She sure is going to look like a clown . But she couldn't care less.
She'll probably be staying in her hotel room all through the party .
"I'm gonna go into the town real quick and get some basic things we might need. Like nails and nail polish,paint. " Nancy said
"Are you going now ?? . I think I should just sleep . Get out get out. " Emily shoo'd them away.
"Phewww. " Emily closed the door and sighed.
"Dresses , dresses , dresses . Come out come out wherever you are !!" She sang and twirled her skirt in front of the mirror.
They were travel by 9:00 pm today and she still have a lot of time to get ready .
"Maybe I should take a bath then. " She mused.
"Or perhaps just sleep. Or anything. "

"Emily . Emily. " Someone called out faintly
Emily groaned and stood up .
"Who's that ?? " She groaned out.
"It's time. Can't you see?? " The shrill voice said again
"Who . Is . That ?? " She yelled and threw back her hair from her face.
"It's Nancy. Duh! " She replied
"Come in and shut up ."
The door opened with Nancy poking her head from the door.
"You haven't gotten dressed,?? What the fuck have you been doing since morning? " Nancy asked in disbelief.
"Well for you information, I've been sleeping. Yep . I've been getting my beauty sleep ." Emily said battling her eyelashes coyly.
"Now , now to the bathroom. Get your ass too the bathroom bruhhh. " Nancy yelled at her.
"Yes , I'll be going . Get me something to wear will you ?? " Emily said and cat walked into the bathroom.
"Geez. It's almost time "
A few minutes later ,Emily came out with her wet hair and a towel wrapped around her body .
"You've gotten a dress ready for me ? " Emily asked .
"Yep. I picked out three different outfit for you. I found this black cute Jean and this tank top , I figured you could use this for your hair. " She held out a scrunchie .
"Next ! I don't like that black jeans " Emily grabbed the brush and the hair dryer.
"Really ?? Well , I think it's cute. But anyways we're moving to the next one. This one is a long skirt that looked kinda out of fashion but if you paired it with this mock neck shirt , I think it's look cute. " She held up the black long dress and blue top
"Next ! "
"You don't like it ?? Wooow. You have a weird taste in fashion . But anyways the cream colored pants and peach colored top. Surely nothing could be wrong with this one ? " Nancy asked
"Hmm, I'll go with the last one "
"Great. Now be fast " she stood up and handed her the outfit.
"Where are the guys ?? " Emily asked
"They are not here yet. " Nancy replied to her
"So ?? Why are we rushing in the first place? Since Micheal and the other aren't ready yet ? " She spoke muffled , with the cloth on her head .
Nancy shook her head and sighed
"What ? Am I not supposed to ask ? I have the right to know."
"Well you do. But I didn't think you wouldn't know. So , we're traveling by a private means. The Gerald's plane is the one that's going to transport us. "
"Wow. That's great. Saves us the trouble and stress of trying to book a flight . I'm done." She carried her bag and proceed to move out of the room.
"You aren't going to put any make up on ?? " Nancy asked in disbelief.
"Yeah . Aren't you the one clamouring about the important of time ? That we're getting late?" Emily retorted.
"But still , you should put on make up . We're meeting some important personalities there. "
"So ?? My bare face isn't pretty enough for 'this important ' personalities of yours. Thought we're going there on a familiar manner? And not some business matter? " She asked and stared at Nancy with amusement dancing in her eyes
"I mean... it's..not like your bare face isn't pretty or anything but I just thought you could look more sophisticated in front of them " she glanced at her interlinked fingers then at Emily
"Well , thank you. But I'm not interested in looking sophisticated. I just wanna be comfortable. " Emily winked.
"Now get your ass up and let's get going "

"This is huge .. " Mera exclaimed.
"I know right ? When I first heard of their private airline the only thought that I had in my head was that it wouldn't be big . But look at this !?"
"Well you're not suprised by this are you ?? They've got more bigger one than this " she pointed to the white plane that had ' Gerald' written on it . All caps.
"Let's get inside. " She urged them in .
They got inside the plane that looked cozy and was welcomed by the two hostess who asked if they would like something to eat or drink . Which they all declined. But Emily was sure that she'll accept the offer along the way.
The plane took off and they were all excited. Emily because she would finally get the opportunity to take some beautiful pictures at the Eiffel tower.
"The party is taking place tomorrow right ,? When will Micheal and the others get here. " Emily asked Nancy .
"What ?? Why are you all staring at me,? Aren't you their girlfriends? How would I know,,? " Nancy replied and giggled.
"Yeah , but you're their cousin " Emily replied back
"Can I get a lasagna and garlic bread? " Emily whispered to the hostess that came to check something from her seat .
"Yes ma'am, we do have some lasagna but garlic bread is what we don't have. " The hostess replied with a smile.
"Screw the lasagna. Let me just get a fruit salad instead. I can get that one right ? " She asked with a hopeful look on her face.
"Yes ma'am. I'll get it for you. " The hostess replied and went away.
"You still want to eat ?? Wow you're incredible." Mera leaned over and whispered into Emily's ear .
"Do you wanna have some ?? I'll save some for you ." Emily whispered back .
"Yeah , I would like some . "
"And yeah , I'm not gonna save anything for you . " Emily grinned wickedly and cluck out her tongue.
The hostess came with the fruit salad that had some ice on it ,served on a crystal tray and in a crystal bowl that had the Gerald name inscribed on it
Emily gladly collected it from her ,and munched away her sorrow.

They finally got to Paris around 3:00am , since Paris is a five hours journey from Newland. But with plane though.
It's much more longer by other means of transportation.
A car was waiting for them at the airport and as soon as they land , the driver came to meet them .
"Excuse me ma'am, you're the Geralds right ? I've been asked to pick you up. " He said with a polite smile .
They got into the luxury car and was driven to a hotel.
"This place is huge ! "
"Of course. This is a five star hotel that is owned by the winters . So what do you expect?? " Nancy replied.
"This people are rich . " Emily mused
