The knock on the door startled the couple that were giggling like students in love.
"What are you guys doing inside ?? " Emily yelled from outside . "We can't afford to be late guys.."

"A minute " Gabriel answered dragging Mera up with him . He held her hand and was about to open the door when Mera snatched her hands away .
"What's the matter ?? " Gabriel asked suprised.
"I don't think ... We're..." She looked down at their joined hands.
"We shouldn't tell them yet ?? " He raised one brow at her suggestion .
"It's not like I want to hide...I just want to tell them first . " She looked away .
"I get it . Anything for you baby . " He kissed her forehead making her giggle and blush .
They head out separately and as soon as Mera got , Emily dragged her to a corner grinning like an idiot .
"Something's up ?? You can't deny that ...." She poked Mera playfully
"I'll tell you later . " She wiggled free .
"You promised . " She held out her pinky finger.
"Promised. "
Mera and Emily walked into the lounge where everyone was set and Mrs Winters was discussing something with Micheal furiously .
Gabriel was trying to calm the burning argument and Samuel was simply leaning on the black car that was waiting for them and was scrolling through his phone while chewing gum
"Do you think something up ?? Do you see the way Alfred had been avoiding eye contact with you?? " Mera spoke to the person on her side unknowingly to her that Emily had moved swiftly ahead of her and was walking furiously towards Alfred .
"You . Son . Of . A . Bitch . " She spoke with mouth clenched .
As soon as she got to where Alfred was , she gave him a resounding slap .
She bend down to remove her shoes and wack him on the head .
"I'm going to kill you today. " She held the pair of sneakers in her hand and pointed it to Alfred.
"Shouldn't we do something?? " Nancy whispered to no one in particular.
"Something's already being done ." Hana pointed her head to the direction
Micheal grabbed Emily and drew her furious self away from Alfred .
"Calm down.. " Micheal said trying to calm her down .
"Calm down " he repeated .
"I'll be sure to get you. " She spat at him then moved to the car .
Mrs Winters that was all smiles and complement when they came here for the first time , was now looking sour . She turned to speak to Micheal murmuring the words out.
""The decision has been made already . I'll be expecting to see you in Newland before the week run out . "" He left immediately not waiting for her reply .

It's been a day since that came back from Paris . They had ended things on a bad note or so it seemed.
Alicia had gotten a whiff of the news and was already waiting for them .
She welcomed them with her usual smile and insisted on making them eat .
Which they couldn't.
They were all worn out and jet lagged.
Alicia had instructed the maids to set the table for them .
But they couldn't even eat . Each went to their room to get some well deserved rest.
Mera finished unpacking her clothes and flounced herself on the bed .
Her mind wandered back to the event that happened in Paris .
She had confessed her feelings!!!
And he accepted, not only that . He also confessed!!

Things haven't changed much , because he wasn't around since yesterday.
As soon as he woke up from his short nap , he got dressed and went out of the room . Saying nothing about where he is headed
Mera's mind still raced whenever she remembered the kiss they shared . It wasn't exactly her first kiss , but damn he was a good kisser .
What do you expect?? For someone who enjoys his sexual splendor and is known to be a Playboy.
But she must say , the thought of him with other girls , either in the past or in future doesn't actually sit well with her.
The knock on the door broke into her train of thought and she stood up , startled.
"Who is it ?? " She called out .
"Open the damn thing first . " Emily replied and Mera chuckled. Always impatient.
She open the door and Emily came in wearing a denim jacket and a pant . She had a baseball cap on .
"Where to ?? " Mera asked accessing her dress.
"I'm heading out for some ice cream and maybe I'll go to the park . I came to invite you. " She plumb down on the bed
"Nah I'll pass . I wanna sleep ." She pointed to the bed that she made . But that was now scrumpled .
"You're going to sleep ?? What have you been doing since all this while?? I'm bored . " She stomped her foot on the ground and whined like a child throwing tantrum .
"I'll invite Hana then or Nancy . Hhmmpphh" she kicked the door open and went out .
Mera wasn't in the mood for hoping out today .
"I feel like staying cooped in this room . Perhaps I'll watch some movies . " She switched on the television.
"Netflix. Yeah but what should I watch ?? Romance?? " She moved around the whole room as she contemplated.
The door open again and Hana and Emily came in
"You're not going ?? "
Mera pointed her chin to the television.
"You're going to watch a movie?? " Emily queried again
Mera simply shrugged
"Well then . We'll get you some popcorn and cola. " With that , Hana dragged Emily away from the room .
Mera sat on the bed , with the remote control in her hand scrolling through the series of movie trying to decide on one .
" After giving it several thought , I think I'll watch Titanic. " She tuned in and pressed play .
The door opened again and she groaned .
"What is it again ?? " She spoke without looking up
"Again ?? "
The baritone voice that made her heart race and her feet tingle spoke .
"Oh I thought it was Emily again . She had been bugging me to go on a Ice cream date with her . And I clearly told her that I was feeling homey today . I just wanna stay at home today . " She explained to him .
"You and your friends will never cease to amaze me . Anyways what are you watching?? " He sat down besides her and pointed to the screen .
"Titanic. " She answered simply .
"Titanic ?? The hopeless romance ? "
"Huh . You haven't watched it yet? " She covered her mouth as if in shock .
"Yeah ? But the opportunity is here . I'll watch it today . But first let me take a quick shower . Can you pause the movie ?? I'll be back in a few minutes. " He looked up her face . She averted her gaze quickly as her heart was pounding so hard .
"Yeah . I'll watch something else . Be fast ." She managed to speak out .
He entered the bathroom and she let out a sigh . Is this going to keep being like this ?? She's damn nervous right now .
He came back a few minutes later as promised .
He motioned for her to stand up from the bed .
"Why ?? "
"You're sitting on the covers . " He got inside the covers and she did the same . Sitting away from him .
The sound of his glorious laughter alerted her and she almost got lost in the it . How could a man laughing be so cute??
"Why are you sitting twelve miles away from me ?? Sit here . " He patted the space beside him .
She moved closer a little.
"I won't bite sugar . Here . " He patted the space .
The endearment made her face turn crismon.
"Now let's get on with it . " He grabbed the remote and played the movie .
He slid his hand behind her dragging her closer to him , so close that they were only nose apart .
Her heart stopped for a moment when his hand came in contact with her skin . Delicious shivers went down her spine causing her face to heat up .
"That's better. " He whispered .
Concentrating on the movie was proving to be quite difficult when Gabriel placed his hands on her hair playing with the curls .
"I love how glorious your hair looks . Especially when you're just waking up in the morning" he said softly .
"How can that be glorious?? " She chuckled and relaxed into his touch .
"It looked like an absolute mess . Like a bird nest sitting on top of my head . "
"It's beautiful. You're beautiful " he kissed the top her head and she squirmed .
"Let's concentrate on the movie " she whispered weakly . His comments is sure going to give her an heart attack one of these days.
"Why are you so good at compliment?? " She pouted .
"You don't like it ?? " He raised his brows in inquiry
"No , not that . It's just that .. " she couldn't finish because he kissed the tip on her nose .
"I've found a good way to shut you up . You're cute when you're jealous, do you Know that ?? "He continued twirling his fingers in her hair .
She giggled.
Without her knowing, they were now cuddling , she was resting he head on Gabriel's chest and he was playing with her hair .
"Stop it . You'll get it all tangled up . " She slapped his hand away gently .
"I'll take care of it . " He said without removing his fingers .
"You must know how to perform some magics and miracle.. before you could take care of my hair. "
The movie was now forgotten and they were in their own little world . Laughing and discussing some unimportant, mudane things.
Never in her wildest dreams, did she think she can be here with Gabriel Gerald . Cuddling and laughing .
"You're not even watching the movie anymore." She pointed out.
"Yes. There's a much more beautiful and interesting sight before me . I want to keep watching that one ." He gently pinched her nose.
"Your pick up line sucks . " She wrinkled her nose at him .
"Really?? " He starts to tickle her making her laugh so hard .
"Please .... " She said in between laughter.
"It sucks ?? "
"No .. no . "
They both laughed
"I'll make your hair for you someday" he traced his fingers to the curls .
"Someday ?? You're supposed to make my hair today . That's why I let you tangled it up . " She whined .
"I'll have to consult my hairdresser first . I need to be an expert. " He laughed.
"No more cuddling. " Mera wanted to stand up but she was trapped between his strong hold .
"Sorry baby. " He nuzzled his head to the crook of her neck .
She smiled and hugged him back .
