Chapter seventeen (17)
Hey ! You are not alone .
The next day Cassy dialed her mother’s line but it was switched off
They spoke two weeks ago and her mother was sounding fine she just hope what ever she dreamt of hasn’t happened
She would have loved to call her mother every single day but the woman gets so emotional and sometimes ended up crying when she is about to end the call
Just then fred came into the room with water dripping down his body he just had a bath
“ Fred “ Cassy called calmly
“ what “ Fred asked applying lotion on his body
“ I want to go home I need to see my mum I need to make sure she is okay “ Cassy said worriedly
“ hey don’t worry just get ready we are going home “ Fred said bringing out few of his clothes
“We?” Cassy asked
“ yes both of us maybe your mum might give us her blessings “ Fred said folding some of his cloths inside a small traveling bag .
“ thank you though things are not working our way but you are the best thing that has ever happened to me “ Cassy said hugging Fred
“ I just hope we end up together I can’t imagine lying close to another man “ Cassy said as tears run down her cheek
“ hey don’t . we are meant for each other okay” Fred assured Cassy
Both got ready then booked a flight after cassy took a few things from her apartment
Immediately Cassy and Fred stepped their feet on the soil of Canada Cassy felt at home .
Eight years ago when she decided to leave for Mexico, she thought being far from Fred would kill what ever she had for him but lol at first when she stepped her foot on the soil of Mexico and realized that she was far from her mother , the home she has grown to know everything she ended up regretting her action but after about five years later she started adjusting to her new life
And now fate brought what she ran from back to her
This life is funny she ran away from Canada because of Fred and now eight years later she came back to Canada with Fred .
Though she felt at home , her mind wasn’t at peace . She was troubled about the terrifying nightmare she had last night she needed to see her mother and in good condition before her mind would be at peace .
“ hey calm down am sure your mum is doing fine even if she is not in a good condition you are the only child so set your mind to accept anything that has happened or will happen “ Fred said caressing Cassy’s palm
Fred stopped a taxi outside the airport that drove them to the side of the town where Cassy’s mum lives
Immediately the driver pulled over outside Cassy’s mum apartment,the atmosphere Cassy met scared her the more .
The police and the reporters were everywhere
Walking to and fro .
Cassy ran as fast as she could she needed to see her mum she was about to enter the house when a police man held her hand
“Young lady I will advice you don’t go in because as you can see we are investigating around here
There was a robbery and the woman living in this apartment was shot and she died immediately so please allow us to do our job” the police man explained pointing to Cassy’s mum’s apartment
“Nooooooooooo” Cassy screamed
All Cassy was hearing were voices but she couldn’t get what the voices were saying as her eyes became blurred then she passed out
Fred who was beside her quickly caught her before she would fall to the ground
The ambulance came within a minute that it was called then fred quickly carried Cassy inside as the nurses did the little they could In order to save her life .
Cassy slowly opened her eyes and made to stand up but she felt a sharp pain making a scream escaped her mouth
“Hey lie down you are in the hospital “ Fred who was sitting on the couch inside Cassy’s ward said
Then helped her to rest her head on the pillow
“ mum “ Cassy called slowly
“ am here for you don’t stress your pretty head and everything will be fine “ Fred consoled her sitting close to her on the bed
“ did you see her ? Was she truly the one that was shot ? They stole from our house and still killed her why? “ Cassy asked crying
“Am sorry just be strong you are the only child so you have to be strong if not for anything to make your mother happy where ever she is “ Fred said
Though he could feel her pain but he was helpless he just didn’t know how to help her than give her consoling words and shoulder to cry on
“ i lost my father even before I was born and now am not even thirty I lost my mother no siblings no relationship am alone with no one to call my own “
Cassy poured her heart in tears
“ don’t say that “ Fred shush her
“ you have me so hey sweetheart you are not alone “
“ thank you Fred “
The next day the doctor discharged Cassy as she was doing fine already since she fainted out of the shock of losing her mother
The necessary burial rites were done for mrs Justine and after everything Cassy decided to go back to Mexico she needed to work hard in order to make her parents happy where ever they are
Life wasn’t easy to live but with Fred , Abigail and jack’s help Cassy pulled through her tough moments.
A week later Cassy got another contract
This time they were shooting a photo at two different locations
The first was the famous Clift la quebrada -Acapulco she was scared at first because of how dangerous the Clift was they needed to take her a photo with a floral gown the reason was that they needed to shoot the photo as the wind is lifting the gown and the background was filled with water . It was just 10 days away so Cassy had time to work on her fears
Well anyways it is going to be fun !!!!!!!.
