Sunshine and Treasure 1

“Can I have a glass of water?” She requested. Henry provided one and she drank.
“Thank you for this,” she appreciated, and dropped the cup on the center table. “You are welcome, my love,” Henry responded, and focused on her. Although, the weather was mild, but she was sweating. Then Henry inquired, “Would you like to shower? It may help you.”
She assented to his suggestion by lowering and raising her head slightly. Then, he assisted her to get up and walked her to the bathroom. Meanwhile, Henry changed to a simple wear and lay on the bed. Soon, Harriet walked out of the bathroom with a bathrobe tied up.
“Are you through?” Henry asked, and sat up from the bed. Instead of responding, she sat beside him, looked into his eyes. Now, Henry discovered how troubled she was, and requested, “Let me hear what is troubling you, my Sunshine. You are hurting me by keeping me in the dark.”
Now her eyes were wet and she snuggled close to him. Then, he wrapped his hands around her and they comforted her. Thereafter, she sighed, and spoke, “My dad said we should put our marriage on hold.”
At Hon. David's House
After Harriet left, her mother sat beside her father, and inquired, “What is the matter? Why this sudden change of attitude?”
“I just got a wind of how he lured his fiancé into criminal acts and abandoned her. Now he wants to marry my daughter. I won't permit that.”
Now, Mrs. David looked intently at her husband, and after a few seconds, she asked, “How did you get to know that?”
“It doesn't matter. The truth is that, Henry had been exposed, and I won't allow him to fool me.”
“You have not told me the source of your information. As your wife, I deserve to be carried along.”
She looked at her husband, and waited for his response, when he was not forthcoming, she stood up abruptly and blurted, “I can see that I no longer matter in your eyes. Please yourself.” Thereafter, she walked out of the parlor and headed to her room. Nevertheless, Hon. David kept cursing and waiting for his daughter to return with Henry.
At Mr. Field's House.
He was on his rooftop with his team working on the Daniel De Pianist project. They put in their best to ensure that there would be no hitch. Suddenly, his phone beeped, and he was distracted. He picked up his phone and read through his message; (Good evening, Godfather. Harriet informed me that her father said we should hold on with the message. She was so distraught to give me the details.)
Although he was panicky, but he composed himself, and gave him a call. He picked at once and greeted while Harriet rested on his chest, “Hello, Godfather.”
His voice was clear and void of any worries, and Mr. Fields was pleased with it.
“Where are you?” He inquired.
“I'm in my house.”
“That's good. Be calm, and let's see what happens next.”
“I got it. Thank you, Godfather.”
At Henry's House.
After he spoke with Mr. Fields, he turned off his phone and gave Harriet a peck on her forehead. Then, he requested, “Did he give you any reason?”
At that point, Harriet was lost in thought. She could not imagine that her father would use such derogatory remarks on Henry. Meanwhile, she would not want him to know about it. To reassure him of her love and get his reassurance too, she lifted her head from his chest and kissed him. When Henry found out that she wanted intimacy to calm herself, he firmly held her and kissed her passionately. After a few seconds, he released her, but she wanted more. Nevertheless, he was ready to make her happy, and he whispered and continued, “I love you, my Sunshine.” “You mean the world to me, my Treasure.”
Now, Harriet was elated and moaned in bliss, and he was encouraged. Meanwhile, her robe had loosened, but she was enraptured to care about it. Likewise, her stiff nipples rested on Henry's chest, and he was hard. He knew that it was time to stop, but Harriet did not have the same opinion as him. At that point, she was running her hand on his hairy chest and pulling his nipples, which he attributed to stress and did not wish to take advantage of her. He carefully laid her on the bed, and disengaged from the kiss. Then, he warned, “We have to stop. We are not married yet.”
To his shock, Harriet felt unwanted. She held him tighter, and cried out, “You don't want me anymore because of my dad.”
“Not at all, my Sunshine. I'm only being…”
“Make Love to me, if you still love me.”
“Are you certain that this is what you want?”
“I don't want to lose you, my Sunshine.”
“Never. You won't lose me. Will you leave me because of your father?”
“Not at all. I love you, my Treasure.”
“You are the best, my Sunshine.”
At Hon. David's House
It was 8 PM, and he was still waiting for his daughter and her fiancée. He expected that they would be with him by 6 PM. Nevertheless, at 7 PM, his wife ignored him and had her dinner alone and returned to the room afterward. Then, he resolved to give Harriet a call. He reluctantly dialed her number, but it was switched off. All the while, he had occupied himself with the dailies and the television, and was not too bothered about their lateness in showing up. Now, he was distressed.
“Is she still at the restaurant?” He mumbled. Previously, she closed for the day at 7 PM after dinner, while her workers close by 10 PM. All the same, he felt that she should have honored his invitation and shown up with her fiancée as he ordered. Now, he was tapping his foot and staring at the television. He would pick up the newspapers and drop them at once, and could not be still and the couch. He kept trying her number now and then until 11 PM, yet it was switched off.
“I hope this criminal has not eloped with my daughter?” He murmured.
Now, he hurriedly walked to the convenience to relieve himself before walking to his bedroom. Likewise, his plight compounded when he got in and met his bed empty.
“Cordelia,” he called out in trepidation. “Has he kidnapped my wife too?” He contemplated. Nevertheless, he pushed the toilet door open and walked in, but she was not there. On an instinct, he walked to the spare room and met his wife sitting on the couch dejectedly. Then, she thundered, “If anything happens to my daughter, I will hold you accountable.”
The next day at Henry's House
The lovebirds woke up happily in the morning and Henry inquired, “Did I make you happy on our first night?”
To Harriet, everything about Henry was good, including their first night, and she commended, “My Treasure, anything you do with me is good. I love you.”
Now, he smiled and gave her a peck and assured her, “I love you too. With or without your parents’ consent, nothing changes our plans. Ten days from now, you will be my wife.”
“And you will be my husband,” she responded ecstatically. Then, she jumped out of the bed and announced, “Let me prepare your breakfast.”
“It's okay. Let me get ready for work.”
