The airport was packed, the passengers were dragging their luggage in every direction. In the midst of all this crowd, There were about ten men wearing black suits, they had sharp gazes scanning the crowds, they were here to accompany someone but they looked more like they were here to catch a prisoner on the run. “Any sign of him?” One of them mumbled into the earpiece. “The top floor is clear, no sign of him here…” The other replied. “Nothing suspicious at the exit.” Another one reported. “Keep your eyes open, his plane has landed 15 minutes ago, He must be in the crowd, We cannot lose him…” The person who seemed to be the leader of the men, spoke in cations as he walked around the crowd. “Agh!!! That Dotard...He sent so many people to strangle me back home…” A guy whose face wasn’t visible because of the hoodie cap, mumbled in a deep husky voice. He sounded annoyed as he peeked from behind a wall. He looked around to find a way to escape when his eyes met a lady holding a baby with one hand, who was pulling her hair, while she was dragging her luggage with the other. “Hoho!! This might be my chance…” He chuckled, “Miss do you need my help?” He spoke softly to the lady who seems to be in having a tough time. “Oh! No...I am okay...Ah!!” She wanted to refuse but her baby grabbed a handful of her hair and pulled it. “No! No baby! Come here,” he spoke lightly to the child, the round eyes of the baby looked at the guy and automatically left the lady’s hair. Within no time the baby had left his mother's embrace and was sticking to the guy. “Hah! He isn’t scared of you,” the lady smiled. “Let me help you walk out of the airport.” He lifted the baby to his shoulder level and tried to hide his face, His idea worked like magic and the guards didn’t bait him an eye. Just out of the exit, he waved his hand and stopped a cab for the lady. “Go home safely,” he smiled and handed over the kid back to her. “Thank you so much,” she was impressed by his kindness and thanked him. “No worries!” He replied as he stepped away. “Gosh! That was close,” His footsteps began to fasten as he tried to escape the threatened territory. ………………………………………………………. It was about 2 pm when Ryker called out Micah for lunch. They were on their way to the restaurant when Micah’s assistant approached them respectfully. “How was your day Chairman?” She spoke to Ryker with a smile. Ryker was a serious man but he didn’t scold people like Micah Did so the staff had quite respect for him. “Good! It was good…” he replied while his eyes gazed down at the lunchbox in her hand. “Who might this be for?” He spoke curiously. Micah too took notice of the huge container, and waited for her reply. “Master, Miss Renya made it especially for Young Master Micah,” he held it in the air for Micah to take it. “For me?” He looked at the container with a suspicious gaze. “Yes, the maid from the mansion brought it and said that Miss Renya has made it especially for you.”
Micah reluctantly looked at the box. “Take it already! How can you act so arrogant when that child has put so much effort into making something for you…” Ryker spoke in anger. Micah held the box with caution a few inches away from himself. The assistant walked away after a slight bow leaving Micah and Ryker alone. “You are way too stiff, Give her a chance,” Ryker knew what was going on in his grandson’s head, he fixed his tone into a gentle one. “She held your hand at the altar in front of so many people and didn’t let it gO, and you are punishing her for someone who didn’t have the courage to that,” Micah looked at him in disbelief, his eyes trembled as he curled his fingers tightly around the handle of the container, his jaws clenched as if trying to suppress his anger. “You can eat your food on your own, I will just go back home…” Ryker patted his shoulder and walked away. Micah stood like a rock statue, holding onto the container. His iced face melted into a sad look, He was hurt, he looked broken. His distanced eyes glared into the nothingness,
