Eryna decided to leave, she stepped away from the crowd and walked back to her cabin, where Zukey was already sitting Scribbling over a piece of paper.
“You are back! How did it go? Did the director scold you?” She asked.
“Scold? Why would I get scolded? He was just here to talk, and it went well.” Eryna sat beside her and picked up the file that wasn't there before.
“What is this?” Eryna asked.
“Oh! The team leader gave everyone work. That’s your part of the work.” She replied.
“Okay!!” Eryna scratched her forehead as she knitted her eyebrows.
‘I can’t take help from Ayden again, he too has to manage his own work, I have to do this on my own—how hard can it be?’
Eryna was trying to make up her mind on doing her stuff on her own, so she picked up the file and started reading it to understand the elements of what was written inside.
The office was filled with murmurs and Eryna felt those penetrating gaze on her back that made her unable to concentrate on her work. Finally getting tired of it Eryna pulled out her drawing pad and sharpened her pencil and started working on her designs. This was a great way Eryna would deal with her worries. When she drew all her concentration was completely on her designs so she wouldn’t get bothered by the people around her. Without realising Eryna spent hours on her design and she finally was drawn back to reality when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Eryna jumped in fright and looked around to see Zukey patting her shoulder.
“Ops! Did I scare you? I mean I didn’t mean to do that, I just wanted to ask that were you going for lunch?” Zukey spoke softly.
“Hm-yes let’s go!!” Eryna closed her sketchbook and got up quickly, they walked out together, while Eryna was still getting stared at and she was the attention, it made her feel very odd. ‘God! These people have so much spare time to waste!! Can’t they just do their own stuff?’ Eryna thought to herself as she picked up a tray and headed to the serving table. She got herself little of everything and so did Zukey. When they were all set they looked around to see that every single one of the tables were occupied. Eryna breathed out heavily and looked at Zukey before speaking.
“Should we sit somewhere else!” Eryna was Pointing outside the cafeteria.
“I would love to,” Zukey chuckled and they walked out.
They had just stepped out when Eryna’s eyes were welcomed by Micah’s figure walking alongside a man very familiar to Eryna. The black messy hair with Hazel eyes were permanently imprinted into Eryna’s mind, her eyes couldn’t believe that she was seeing him in front of her. They were still at a distance from them so Micah didn’t see her yet, Eryna reflexively pulled Zukey back and hid beside the wall. She waited for them to pass you while Eryna kept her eyes glued to the second guy walking beside Micah with a serious expression.
“No way!! That’s not possible!”
Eryna muttered in disbelief.
“What happened?” Zukey was shocked by her reaction and looked in the direction where Eryna was looking and saw no one.
‘Did I see right? Was that Hunter?—‘ Eryna thought to herself.
“I will be back in a moment. I have to do something,” Eryna placed her food tray in Zukey's empty hand and followed the two people sneakily.
“That’s not possible! I mean how can Hunter not tell me that he is already back! And above all what is he doing here?” Eryna was completely unsure about what she had seen. She tiptoed behind them and saw them talking to each other as they walked, Eryna only saw the guy’s back but she was sure that it was Hunter, but the question was that why was Hunter here?
When the two started walking up the stairs that lead to Micah’s office Eryna’s stomach started to grumble, she was curious as to what was going on here. Micah clicked open the door and walked into the door and Hunter followed his lead. Eryna halted outside the door and looked around to see the place oddly empty.
It was lunch break so the secretary’s post was vacant . Eryna walked around in panic, she placed her ear on the door hoping she would hear anything from the inside but it turned out to be soundproof.
“Curse you the inventor of the sound proof system!!” Eryna’s hand formed into a fist and she cried out.
“Cough…” Somebody cleared their throat behind Eryna that made her jump lightly.
“Yes?” Eryna gave out a broad smile to the guy behind her holding onto a tray.
“Could you— I mean I have to bring this in,” he spoke while shuttering.
“Coffee!!” Eryna’s eyes shined with an evil plan.
“Yes-I was waiting for you here, Mr.Micah asked me to bring in the coffee once it’s ready. You can leave it with me.” Eryna lied professionally.
“He did?”
“Yes!” She added confidently.
He stared at her for a few seconds with disbelief.
“Gosh! Do you want Micah to fire you?” Eryna couldn’t bear more delay so she spoke out loudly enough to Intimidate the poor guy.
“Okay! Take this,” he pushed the tray into her hand and walked away.
“Sigh!” Eryna breathed in and clicked the door open.
The office had the same aura as Micah’s room, it was filled with a faint smell of paper and daffodils. She heard the two people talk lightly, Eryna walked in holding the cups, neither of them glanced at her because they thought she was an insignificant person.
Eryna walked towards the coffee table where both of them sat face to face. Micah’s legs were crossed while Hunter sat in a much comfortable style. Eryna placed the tray on the table and lifted a cup and placed it in front of Micah, His attention slightly moved towards Eryna but she had already looked away so he didn’t see her face, Eryna took Hunter’s cup and gave it directly to him. Hunter felt odd so he looked up while holding out his hand for the cup. His hand missed the cup while his hazel eyes widened with shock and what more was that the hot coffee fell on his clothes straight.
“Gasp!!” He stood up in a hurry and patted the liquid off his shirt while still staring at Eryna with disbelief. On the other hand Micah’s eyebrows knitted together in anger and he parted his lips to scold Eryna but when he saw who it was his lips sealed up and his eyes filled with surprise.
“I am so sorry Sir, I didn’t mean to do this!!” Eryna spoke to Hunter with respect but there was sarcasm hidden under her words that only Hunter could detect.
“You are? That’s a relief,” Hunter replied while grinding his teeth, he looked like he was in pain.
“Renya, what are you doing here?” Micah asked with his usual hoarse voice.
“Renya? But-“ Hunter was puzzled.
“Yes I am Renya Scott nice to meet you Mr.Noah,” Eryna ignored Micah’s question and directly spoke to Hunter Noah.
Micah’s eyes knitted not because she ignored him, but because he found it puzzling for how she knew him.
“You know him?” Micah asked.
‘Shoot! Did this big mouth of mine ruin everything again?’
Eryna cursed herself before speaking again.
“Who doesn’t know Mr.Noah, he is such a great…”
Eryna looked at him with a meaningful gaze.
‘What are you this time?’ Eryna asked Hunter through telepathy.
‘First you tell me why is he calling you Renya?’
‘Tell me or I will speak some nonsense that you will have to fix after wards,’
‘I am not telling you until you tell me what is going on here?’
They battled while Micah stared at them With discomfort.
“I think Mr.Noah should change his suit. He must need some medical help too, the coffee was really hot,” Eryna spoke quickly and placed the tray on the table.
“Yes! Then go bring him a new set of clothes,” Micah replied.
“Sure...I would be right back,” Eryna spoke while still standing without moving.
“When will you leave?”
“I am leaving with Mr.Noah...i mean I have to find him clothes that fits him.” Eryna replied.
“Yes, I think she is right...I am very sorry, can I delay the meeting for a while. I really think I might have burnt my chest.” Hunter added.
Micah stared at them with a suspicious gaze and then nodded.
“Let’s meet tomorrow...same time,” Micah held out his hand for a hand shake. Hunter took his hand and shook and left the room, Eryna followed him swiftly.
