After the call ended, the General Manager's mind went back to the night he was with Richard and Robinson at the five-star hotel and how he found himself at the hospital the next day. The security around him had been very tight because the management believed that he was attacked by robbers. He was aware that he was not attacked by robbers and the guilt that he had misled everyone weighed him down, but then, he had to play along if he must keep his head above water. What he was not aware of was that, Mr. Israel, Dr. Dike, Mr. Morris and Jeff were aware of how much danger he was in, than he thought. To him, Richard and Robinson were not robbers, but to the four, they were more than robbers. Nevertheless, he tried to wave the incident aside to enable him concentrate on that day's program, but he could not. Rather, his mood changed. Now, his wife, who noticed that he was moody after the call, asked, “Any problem?” Now, Gabriel realized that he might expose himself, and he quickly put himself together and cheered up. Instantly, his mood swung from despair to elation, he looked at his wife. “No problem, but I wish I will be able to deliver on this Independent Anniversary Celebration. The management expect a seamless outing,” he cooked up, just to veer his wife's attention, and it worked. To him, that was the only thing she would wish to hear at the moment. At that time, she had driven into the Television Station visitors’ car park, as well as the Security Guard's vehicle behind her. She pulled up and faced her husband, who her encouragement meant a lot to. “Gabriel, you're a very intelligent man, and an achiever. You will not just deliver, but you will take the company to a greater height, another milestone in success.” At that point, she looked into her husband’s eyes, and observed that he may break down in tears any moment, and warned, “You can't do this now. You have to be strong for me and the children.” Now, Ahmed had arrived and packed beside them. Meanwhile, Gabriel was encouraged, and put himself together, and appreciated, “Thank you my pleasant one. You're everything to me, Naomi. I will be strong for you and the children. I will always be.” Now cheered up, and demanded, “Promise me that you will keep to it.” He gave his wife a love look, and assured her, “I promise.” Now, Ahmed got out of his car and waited. On the other hand, Edwin, who had gone to the Grand Crest Luxury early to pick Victor, arrived too. He had breakfast with them and ensured that the other team members were comfortable before they left. Howbeit, they were at the television station before the time, and walked into the reception after they exchanged greetings. At that juncture, they were welcomed by the presenter, who happened to be a young lady. The moment she saw Naomi beside her husband, she swallowed hard and declared, “I'm your host on today's program, THE OTHER SIDE OF GOVERNANCE. I was only expecting two guests. How come I have a full house?” She asked seductively. They ignored her introduction and question, and took their seats. While they were waiting, Edwin, who understood her language, fixed his gaze on her, and observed the lecherous look on her face. He had worked with the General Manager for five years, and had seen women flirting around him. Since he discovered how much he loved his wife and family, he added 'protecting his marriage' to his job description. He taught himself that task so well that executing it was at his fingertips. Nevertheless, Gabriel, who believed that she could not be talking to him, ignored her prurient gaze, and began his rehearsal with Victor. Now, Edwin gave the presenter a dirty look, and did his job while Ahmed sneered at her dressing. “When we get to the bridge, we will cross it,” Edwin said with a dismissing aura. Now, her eyes which were on the General Manager shifted to Edwin who just spoke and contacted Ahmed's unfriendly eyes. Instantly, she realized that she would have a problem poaching away the General Manager, but that would not stop her from attempting. Presently, they still had about twenty minutes before the program, and Ahmed could still achieve his desire. He was aware that he had skilled security officers, especially his orderly, and the Chief of the security. The management engaged him whenever there is more than security issue. “Come with me Edwin,” he stood up, and called out. Edwin stood up at once, and looked at the General Manager, who was engrossed with his rehearsals. To avoid disturbing him with his excuses, he looked at his wife, and said, “We will be right back.” She gave him a nod, and they left for the office of the General Manager of the Federal Television Authority and requested to see him. "He is not on duty, sir. Today is Saturday," the security guard at the General Manager's Office said. “I see, but who can we talk to? We came here for a program,” Ahmed requested. “You can talk to the Head of Programs. Let me take you to his office,” the security guard responded. Suddenly, they heard a voice, “Security, what do they want?” The security guard turned quickly to the direction of the voice, and he realized that it was the Head of Programs. He was walking back to his office from the studio and the Master Control Room (MCR) after ensuring that the studio was ready for the next program. It was his duty to ensure that the signals from both video and audio transmission were in perfect condition. “They are here for the program, THE OTHER SIDE OF GOVERNANCE. They requested to see the General Manager, but I suggested that they should see you.” “Okay. Thank you,” the Head of Programs appreciated, and turned to Edwin and Ahmed. “Good morning, Gentlemen. I'm the Head of Programs. How may I help you?” Now, Edwin looked at Ahmed, who initiated that they should go over there, and Ahmed went straight to the point, “Good morning. I don't want that hostess to anchor the program today. Give us another presenter.” The Head of Programs looked at Ahmed, and observed that the look on his face could not accommodate 'No'. Besides, for him to make such a request meant that he knew his right. Presently, he was handicapped because he would be offending the presenter if he changes her. Besides, there was no other presenter on duty. “I'm afraid I can't. Besides, there's no other presenter on duty,” he refused tactfully. Likewise, Edwin rode on Ahmed's coattails and said, “We are not begging you. We are telling you what we want you to do. We can cancel the program and ask for a refund of our payment on the ground of lack of satisfaction from you.” The order, the aura, and the demeanor of the people in front of him made him jittery, and he had no choice. When Ahmed spoke again, there was a note of finality in his tone, “You're the Head of Programs, right?” The frightened Head of Programs nodded in the affirmative. “Good. We want you to anchor it. Let's move to the studio. Time is not on our side.”
