"Clary stood from where he sat and stood in front of his dad. At first, his dad thought he wanted to give him a hug or sit on his lap to complain about missing him but he didn't. He stood there wearing a frown. "What?" He asked knowing he has something to say. "Daddy don't insinuate that I'm going to stay with that witch of an aunt and her demon children?" By the time he was don't with his words, tears were already gathering in is eyes and his voice shook showing that he is about to cry. He was really ready for his sons refusal to go to his sister's house. This has always been their argument anytime he wants to go on a trip. "How many times have I warned you about using vulgar words on anyone?" He asked firmly. "If they don't behave like one, I won't refer to them as one" he murmured. He placed his hands on his little shoulders. "Listen Clary, you know I don't have anywhere else to take you to. You have to manage up till I'm back" he said softly to the boy whose tears was already rolling down. "For a whole month!" He exclaimed. "You sure know that I'll be dead before you are back" he cried. "You won't boy, if you only watch the way you interact with them" he adviced cleaning his tears. Clary who is a sharptongue and one who tolerates no nonsense, would always boldly scold his more elderly cousins when they do something he feels shouldn't be or odd and that always make them beat him up. Instead of their mother who is his aunt to scold them, she would simply say he deserves everything been done to him. Sometimes they even cook up stories against him, just to get him into trouble and get him punished. With all these he came to the conclusion that he was hated. "Daddy they hate me" he cried. "They don't Clary. They are only been childish" he corrected softly. "Moreover boy, you don't seem to have a choice here" he added. "I do daddy" he disagreed. Larry gave him a skeptical look. "You do?" He never knew what his son meant by his word. "Why can't I stay with........" He paused and lowered his head so as not to meet with the present look of his father. "With who?" Larry couldn't think of anyone whom Clary would want to stay with. Clary looked at his dad's expectant frown and he adjusted back before he talked. "Aunty Ria". "What!" Larry shouted. Clary quickly shifted back the more so as not to receive a hit from his father even though Larry never hit hi! Before. He couldn't believe his son thought of such thing. "You barely know this lady and you are suggesting you go stay a month with her?" He couldn't hide his shock. "I barely know anyone daddy" he said. "Moreover it is way better than spending it with those blood sucking demons called family" he grumbled. "You must be kidding me" he snapped. "What if she is not interested?" He asked glaring harshly at him. "Aunty Ria likes me" he argued. "What if her husband don't?" "Daddy, I could remember her telling us that she is not married and that she only lives with her sister". He gave his father a look that told that he is not buying the pretense of not knowing that Somaria isn't married. Larry knew he was caught. "What if he sister doesn't accept you staying?" Clary frowned. "Daddy can you stop this what ifs. I've seen aunty Tin and she's juat as nice as her sister. She'll surely be glad that I chose them" he said with so much confidence. Larry knew there's nothing he would do or say to change his stubborn mind so he decided to use his fatherly authority. "Sorry son, I can't leave you in the hands of strangers" he declined. "Daddy please try to trust them. They won't do me harm. They love me so much. Please let me go" he pleaded with a quivering voice. He saw his son's attitude as importunate and it got him angry. How can he leave his son to a total stranger. How will he even as this of her and it won't sound weird. "Look here boy, you are going nowhere aside Monica's. You take that or leave it" he yowled that the boy shrinked. It was really difficult for him to use that tone with his son but he needed to do it if he wants him to do his bidding. Clary moved back in tears. "I've always known that you hate aunty Ria" he said looking at his dad mysteriously. "I hate no one" he said firmly. "Let !e promise you something dad.." He paused looking at him. Larry waited for him to continue his so called promise. "I won't object when you leave me with your sis but be so sure of something after you leave that you ain't coming back to meet me. I would have gotten the hell out of that house" he said furiously and walked away. Larry got a big shock. "Clary!" He bawled but instead of him to stop, he took to his heels. Clary has never been so rude to him and this gave him a huge auprise. He do succumb to his words no matter the situation but now the little guy seems rebellious.
