It seems Larry wasn't ready to tell her the reason she was called urgently. She then decided to ask about the boy who seem to be their only business together.
"Where is Clary?"
"In his room crying" he replied.
She gave a look that indicated what is the big deal about a little boy's tears. Child are prone to tears when denied something. She gave a pressed lips and look that tells she needed more explanation.
"Sorry to disturb you" he said softly.
Good you know that you really disturbed me. I pray it is worth it or else I'll be really vexed" she thought looking at him.
She didn't say anything but continued looking.
"I'll be out of the country in two days time" he said as if the words was really a hard task to do.
"My business" she thought.
She didn't know why it is taking the guy so long to relate the message well. He is just perambulating, wasting her time with words that's none of her concern. She almost hissed.
"Going with Clary?" She decided to ask when it seems pride was making him to hesitate. It was just annoying her.
He shook his head. "School is still on and I wouldn't want him to miss lessons".
Somaria raised a brow to tell him to continue.
"I do take him to my sister but he refused totally".
"Why?" She asked
One should be happy to meet family. Younger ones are even more enthusiastic about their cousins.
"My sister's children do pick on him since he is the youngest and you also trust Clary, he has a really big mouth".
Larry was battling on his thought on how to tell the pretty lady beside him that he wants her to take in his boy.
Somaria also was imagining how they would have treated little Clary that made him refused to go to his family.
"Are you planning to take him along?" She felt so stupid for asking that again.
"No" he gave her a mocking look. "He's not interested in going either. He wants to go with you" he said finally.
Somaria already knew this was where everything is heading to. She was surprised that she was chosen. She smiled at the look on Larry's as he finally made his intentions known. That was a hard job for him to do.
"What a proud guy" she thought. "So what do you intend to do?"
Larry looked at her. "I should ask you that?"
Somaria was really glad the boy thought of her but she didn't want to have him if his father wasn't pleases with it.
"You might not want him to to. I can help talk him out" she said.
Larry snorts. "You don't know that little man. He is so adamant' he said giving her a forceful smile.
"He must have taken after you" she mocked. "Should we try?"
"Don't bother. I don't want anything that would make him wear sad look" he said palely.
"But you do wear?" She thought again. "So. You want him to go along with me?" She asked casually.
"If it is fine by you" he replied.
"It will be more than a pleasure to have your cute boy around. It is definitely fine by me" she said with enthuse.
Larry wanted to smile at her excitement because he didn't see any reason why such big lady will want to hang out with baby Clary.
"What about your sister?"
"My sister doesn't eat children neither is she a blood sucking vampire" she replied playfully that Larry couldn't help but laugh.
"I didn't mean that. I was only asking if she would permit you to bring him home".
Somaria was surprised at his laughter that she stylishly hit her ears to make sure they weren't deceiving her.
"My sis already met Clary and they blend well. She would be glad to have him around" she smile.
"Thank you" the smile he gave now was so genuine.
"Do you know that this is the first welcoming smile you would ever give me?" Her words was rhythmic and sweet.
Larry knew she spoke the truth but he still decided to disagree.
"That's not true" he declined.
"Of course it is. The smile you do give me is exact to a military general, trying to encourage his officers with a smile that they are going to survive the war" she said seriously.
Larry burst into laughter. "You must be kidding me" he laughed the more.
The melody of his laughter ranged in the house that Lana, their maid had to come peep to see what exactly is going on because it's been a while since she heard such sound since she got into the house. She quickly left sao as not to be discovered.
"Thanks for trusting your boy into my hands " she gave an appreciating look.
"I should be the one grateful. Accept my gratitude" he said softly.
"You should smile the more. It really suit you" she said smiling.
