Chapter 16

"Listen to me" she gave him full attention. "This God created everything on earth even in heaven including you. Everything originated from Him. Did that make Him good?" She asked the boy who looked so enthusiastic about the issue.
He gave a nod. "Yes but he created hell".
Clary was so much concerned about God creating hell because he is so scared.
"Do you know the devil?"
"Not really but I do know that when people wants to refer to bad things, they always mention the devil and also witches because they use their magic for evil deeds" he replied.
This made Somaria know that he got all that from the books he do read but they were not clear to him.
Ok, the devil is a very wicked angel that God sent away from heaven because of his bad behaviour and that is the reason God created hell" she explained.
"Because of the devil?" He felt a little relieved.
"Yes but also his demons and those who chose to behave like the devil. God did this to free the world from evil people. Is that a bad thing to do?" She asked the boy who noe wore an understanding look.
He shook his head. "But where does our God lives. I would love to see him" he asked smiling.
Clary who love to verify things didn't know God isn't a person to be seen with physical eyes.
"My goodness!" She exclaimed looking astonishly at Larry. She couldn't take it anymore. "Did you ever take this boy to church?"
"Never been to one" Clary replied quickly.
She focused on Larry who wore an unreadable loom. Now she knew she's got lot to do.
"Clary would you be interested to know more about God?"
"Yes I will" he said with excitement.
"Don't worry we will talk about Him later" she said sounding more like she is assuring herself rather than the boy who was happy to hear that.
"Thank you aunty Ria" he smiled. "So why are you here?"
He was already guess the reason but he didn't want to be too forward.
"I heard you will be staying with your aunt" she said smiling.
The boy's countenance fell. "Did daddy tell you to talk me into going?" He asked sadly looking at his dad.
"Do you want to go?"
Tears was already gathering in his eyes. "It's a Lion's den" he replied.
"C'mon baby, it is not that worse. Family is sweet" she patted his hair.
"But not mine. They are cruel. You should follow me to experience what I've always been going through" he said as tears slide down his cheek.
"Hmm hmm poor boy" she drew him closer and dried his tears.
"Please don't let me go there. It's hell" he pleaded.
Somaria looked at Larry and gave him a weak smile. "Don't worry dear, that's what brought me here" she said to his ears.
The boy looked at her with doubting eyes.
"I'm serious. Your daddy told me you chose to stay with me, so he let me have your throughout his trip" she said smiling.
Clary jumped up shouting. Larry could see the clear joy in his son's eyes and it made him happy. Somaria grinned at his display of happiness.
"Thank you daddy" he ran to his dad and jumped on him. "You are the sweetest daddy in the whole wide world".
"Anything for you boy" he smiles.
"Am I leaving today?"
"Why today? My trip is in two days time" he said.
"Let !e leave so that you won't have to change your mind when that wit......" He paused and covered his mouth quickly.
Larry snorted and smirked while Somaria frowned.
"I meant aunt Monica" he said giving Somaria an apologetic look.
"Don't get bothered daddy won't change his mind" she encouraged him with a smile.
Clary shook his head in disagreement. "You are wrong aunty Ria. My aunt can be so manipulating".
"Are you in so much hurry to leave me?" Larry joked.
"No, no, no daddy. Just scared that you may change your mind" he said quickly.
"I know" he pulled his ear gently. "You can leave with her if you wish to".
Somaria noticed that it is only his son that can draw out his smiles easily.
"Go tell Lana to help you get your things ready" he added.
"Thanks daddy" he raced off.
"Here, this is Clary's credit card" he said as he stretch the credit card to her.
"Clary own a credit card?" She asked surprised at his devotion to his son.
"Not really his. It's mine but he is the one making use of it. I'll continue adding cash for his upkeep".
"I don't think he'll need it. My sis and I don't have anything to spend on. It will be a privilege to do it on him" she said not collecting the card.
"I insist".
"Okay then" she accepted it knowing there is no point arguing. "Why sis you let Clary hate your sister so much?"
