Now Juan was fretting. Despite his feelings for another, he still didn't want to lose her. She has been a wonderful friend to him. He wasn't happy with himself and he was downcasted. "Why are you saying all these?" "Because it is the bitter truth. Do you wanna deny?" She gave a threatening look. Juan knew it would be so unfair to deny. He had wronges her so much for leading her on for two years but now that she found out, he shouldn't make it worse by lying. "I know I've been a jackass all the while. Ria believe me it wasn't intentional. It's just that I find you to be an interesting lady. You've got all the good qualities I want and I thought we could match up. I'm really sorry Ria. I'm so stupid" he said sadly sheepishly. This was what she came to hear. "Why didn't you tell me all the while?" She asked dryly. "I couldn't. I might not be attracted to you sexually but trust me I do care about you and your feelings. I didn't want to see you get hurt. This made me orientate myself that the more I get closer to you, the more I feel attracted but it seems I'm wrong". He expected an outburst of anger or even more tears but to his surprise, she looks calm and her tears wear dried as if she never cried. This baffles his "Were you planning to marry me like that?" "No, I was going to tell you but I was looking for the perfect avenue" he replied being careful of what to say. She moved closer and he moved back not knowing what she meant to do. "You took a hell lot of risk that can destroy you forever. Relationship shouldn't be based on pity or assumption. It is a very delicate decision. Promise me this won't repeat itself" she said with a scolding voice. Juan was more astonished than ever before. He wasn't expecting scolding but problems which he was ready to face. It was as if he is in a dream. "Don't give !e that look" she said softly. "It's not as if I was totally into you" she gave him a crispy smile. "I was only hinging on the fact that you love and respect me" she added. It was as if a bucket of cold water was pure on his scorching skin. He felt so much relieve like God is smling on him. "My promise" she asserted. "I promise I won't do it again" he said in self reproach. "Alright come here" she opened her hands wide for a hug. "We're fine?" He asked with doubt. "Of course we are more than fine" she smiled and this time it was a sweet and genuine smile. "Thank you thank you" he hugged her tightly repeating the thank you with enthusiasm. They both went to take their seat. "I need ti thank the person who opened my eyes and gave me so much encouragement to so this. If not we will still be whiling away time in the name of enduring" she said with a smile. "Who was that?" "It's so peaceful letting it out. I fell so relieved" she sighed heavily, ignoring his question. "You didn't answer me" he said. "Didn't want to" she smiled. Since he didn't get an answer, he decided to guess. "Your Pastor?" He needed to know who saw through his barrcaded heart. She shook her head and laughed knowing he really wanted to know but wasn't ready to tell because of the circumstance that surrounded it. "Why do you wanna know?" "Just want to" he shrugs. "I don't want to tell you so that you won't think it is because of something that the person said that and it is not true. Some people are just gifted to read minds and emotions to see them the exact way it is" she as as if she is lecturing him not to hate the person she didn't even tell. Juan lifted his head and close his eyes. He let out a breath. "Tyndall" he called as he pictured her frowning face. "What if I tell you it is not her" she said laughing. She knew he guessed right. Tyndall didn't tell her sisters what transcended between Juan and herself because she knew her sisters won't be happy and that would make them hate Dale. She didn't want that to happen so she held it back. Juan himself wasn't interested in telling. He just ignored her. "You can't deny it". "Yes I can" she joked. Juan adjusted. "Let me give you a reason why it would be nobody else aside her" he paused looking at her. "She is the only one around you that doesn't put up with me and also the only female that hates me". "She doesn't hate you" she defended. "I'm not vexed. I wouldn't be nice to a person that behaved the way I did. It is right for her to. At least now her know the reason for the whole hatred". "No Juan, Tin doesn't hate you. She said she just didn't like the way you are not man enough" she said as if the word is no big deal. "She's perfectly right. I was being coward" he said stiffly. "Let it pass" she playfully slapped his hand. "So tell me who is she?" She asked suddenly. "I didn't get that" he said with concentration. "The girl who got so lucky to get your attention" she replied with excitement. Juan half closed his eyes. "Girl?" He asked bewildered. "Hmm hmm" she nodded. Juan didn't understand the reason for such question. "What girl? Do you think I've been cheating on you all the while?" "Never has it crossed my mind". "Then why ask me of a girl?" He frowned. "Juan I might not have a special gift to read minds and emotions but when I see things they are real. I know you want a girl" she said with a look that states I know what I'm saying. Juan didn't know he was that obvious. He knew he got caught. "Ain't we friends Juan?" She asked so that he would know that she asking isn't for any bad intentions. "Yes we are" he replied quickly not wanting to ruin the day. "Then tell me. I won't get angry" she teased. "She's someone I can't have" he scoffed gauntly. "Why?" She asked with a proud look. "It's complicated" he replied. "I don't believe that. Love isn't a complication except if we make it. Even the daughter of Mr President will get married one day. Don't be a coward. Give Tin to see reason that you are a man" she said boldly.
