I wasn't surprised when he was called Alpha, I just couldn't accept the fact that he was accepted as the alpha of the fire pack. From what I was able to gather, the fire pack was one of the strongest packs during his father's reign. I don't know of now though. But it seems he had been able to maintain that. Ella nudged me and I groaned. "We are waiting for you" she whispered.
I rolled my eyes. "For what?"
She chuckled. "So we could go to our rooms, I guess"
I frowned. She should have just say that, rather than waste my time. "Let's go"
We followed Nigel into the packhouse. I couldn't hide my surprise. It was bigger inside than I have ever imagined. The floor was tiled in white with red flowers on it. The wall was painted in gray color, with a touch of white. I batted my lashes. There was no time for me to check out the exterior designs but with what I'm seeing now, I could tell what the outside would look like. "Hey, girl. You will have time to check this place out" Nigel said.
I rolled my eyes. "This place is nice" Ella whispered.
I ignored her. "Can you show me to my room?"
Nigel nodded. "Sure"
We were shown to our rooms. I entered mine and sat on the bed. The room was well decorated. The colors used were my favorite colors. I suspected Ella must have told him. I stood up to check out the bathroom. The floor was tiled in white with a touch of black. I smiled. Everything about the room reminded me about home. It was like home in another place. I sighed. He did not want me to miss home. My eyes landed on the jacuzzi. I batted my lashes. Did he put this for me?. Or every room here has it?. I walked closer to it. It was the latest jacuzzi in time. The one I saw on the screen some days back. I couldn't help but wonder why he would want to put this for me?. He has no reason to do that. One, I was his rejected mate. Two, we are not always on good terms. And three, he said he doesn't want me as his luna again. I concluded that it has to be present in every room. I walked out of thr bathroom to get my things arranged. By the time I was done, it was some minutes past 11 am. I lay on the bed to get some rest. I will think of taking my bath when I wake up.

Someone jumped on me. I knew immediately, it has to be Ella. I groaned, pushed her off, and sat up. She chuckled and I frowned. "Do you have to jump on me at every chance you get?"
She chuckled. "Thought waking you up with my hands will be a waste of time"
I frowned. "Jumping on me, isn't a waste of time?"
She laughed. "Come on, you don't have to make a fuss out of nothing"
I sighed. There was no point arguing with her. I picked my phone to check the time. I batted my lashes. It was last 2 pm. I slept for three good hours. I frowned at myself for getting so comfortable. Ella stood up. "Nolan asked me to call you"
I furrowed my brows. Why would he ask Ella to come to call me?. "For what?"
She shrugged. "I think he wants you both to visit the company"
I groaned. Isn't it too early for that? I just got here. He should at least let me get used to the environment first. I sighed. "Where is he?"
"Downstairs"
I sighed. "Tell him I will join him"
She nodded. "I brought you lunch, you can take that before you come downstairs"
I smiled. "Thanks"
After Ella left. I took my bath and get dressed in blue jeans and white polo. I sat down to eat the lunch Ella had brought for me.

Nolan threw some papers on the table. He was seated on his bed, papers scattered all over the place. I stood beside his dressing mirror, with my back rested on the wall. "Take these and go through them. We will go to the company tomorrow" he said. He sounded so bossy that I felt like punching him. I frowned. What does he want me to do with all these papers?.
"They are important documents, not papers as you called them," my subconscious mind said. I ignored it. Of course, I know they are documents but what I don't understand is why he had given them to me.
"What should I do with them?" I asked
He frowned. "Are you been serious right now?". He stared at me and then sighed. "I can't believe, I'm doing this" he mumbled. "You're to go through them. Get conversant with how things are been done at the company. Tomorrow, you get to meet the rest of the workers"
I groaned. "Can I meet them first before reading these things?"
He glared. "Did you just call them things?. Those papers have been paying millions of people and will be paying you too"
I frowned. I had never thought, Nolan has been rude. But now, I couldn't think less than that. "Rude brat" I murmured
He growled. "I can hear you. It would be nice if you say it to my face". He stood up. "I'm your boss, not your mate. The earlier you accept that the better for you". I rolled my eyes. Whatever that was the word I wanted to mumble but I had a change of mind. I picked up the papers from the table. "You can leave. I've got better things to do". I frowned. I am now less important to him. Hey. Stop staring like that and get out!!!"
I stared at him. Does he have to yell?. I'm not deaf. I rolled my eyes and finally walked out of the room.

"I think you should dress like a lady, instead of your usual male clothes" Ella suggested
I rolled my eyes. "I think I am comfortable with this". I was dressed in black ripped-off pants with a white long sleeve shirt. I wore a black boot to match. "There is nothing bad with this"
She frowned. "I don't think Nolan will like this"
"I'm not dressing for him"
She rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Just suit your self"
I chuckled. I picked my bag and headed downstairs with Ella following behind. Ella was dressed in a blue gown which stopped right on her knees. She paired it with open-toe heels, her hair packed in a high ponytail. Nigel chuckled when he saw her and Bella groaned. I couldn't help but laugh. "I will advise you to change your cloth. Nolan won't accept this" Nigel whispered
I ignored him. Nolan can't tell me what to wear. We weren't in agreement. "What the hell are you wearing?" Nolan yelled. I frowned. He was coming down the stairs, dressed in a brown tuxedo. His hair was curled and I wondered if that was his natural hair or he did curl it. He frowned. "Your first day with me and you're already breaking the rule?"
I furrowed my brows. What rule is he talking about?. "What do you mean?"
He groaned. "Don't tell me you did not read them?"
"Read what?"
He frowned. "The documents I gave you"
I chuckled nervously. I didn't read even a letter from those papers. When I got to my room yesterday, I dropped them on the table, hoping to read them when I was less busy. Guess I forgot. "Sorry" I muttered
He hissed. "Just get something better. Something more official"
I groaned and Ella laughed. "I told ya"
I ignored her and returned to my room. Ella followed me. She helped me get something better, though it was a female cloth, I got dressed in a black penciled skirt which stopped after my knee. I wore a white plain shirt with two ropes that could be knot into a tie. Ella made me wear ankle strap heels. They were so tall I thought I would fall off soon. Ella wouldn't stop laughing at me. After struggling to get used to them, we headed downstairs. The dining was empty when we got down. I batted my lashes. "Where are they?"
A guy walked in. "They left. I was asked to bring you"
I frowned. He let me get dressed in this just for him to leave?. Ella smiled. "After you, please"

The car stopped and I popped my head out. My eyes caught sight of the company name. I batted my lashes. I know this company. Dad had said something about the company. I can't believe he owns it. I stepped out of the car and we were ushered in. I could hear Nolan's voice. He was laughing. I wondered who he was talking to that made him laugh this hard. I stood rooted to my spot. He was smiling at a lady. "You're so funny, Nolan," she said, laughing
Nolan winked. "What did I miss, Beth"
"Nothing much, boss. The manager will fill you in"
I frowned. She called him by his name and now she is calling him boss?. "Don't tell me you're jealous" Ella whispered
I hissed. "I am not"
I was sure I wasn't jealous. I am just surprised, she could call him by his name. "How may I help you, ma'am," she said jolting me back to reality
I rolled my eyes. "Don't worry, Beth. They are with me" Nolan answered and she nodded. "Ella, please come with me. You can tell your friend to come too"
I frowned. Why can't he tell me by himself?. I walked closer to Beth. "Stay away from him, ok?" I whispered. She widened her eyes and I growled. "You can as well try me!!"
