NOLAN
"Nolan?"Olive called. I ignored her and continued talking with Ella, Nigel, and Bella. "No... Never mind" Olive said and stood up. She left the dining table and I wasn't bothered. In a normal instance, I would have asked why she left or if I don't, I won't feel comfortable seeing her leave.
Nigel stared at me. "Why do you do that?"
I rolled my eyes. "Ella, are you done eating?". She nodded. I stood up. "We should go"
Bella frowned. "Are we not suppose to go together?"
I rolled my eyes. "You will find your way"
Nigel furrowed his brows. "You won't wait for us?"
I ignored them and walked out. Ella followed me. "Nolan?"
I stopped walking and turned so she could catch up with me. "Yes?"
She sighed. "Why are you avoiding Olive?"
I rolled my eyes. I don't want to talk about that. "Nothing. I am not just in the mood to talk to her"
Ella rolled her eyes. "No, Nolan. That's a lie. I know there is more to that"
I sighed. "Ella, let's go. We are going to be late"
She nodded. "I hope you will tell me when you want to"
I rolled my eyes and walked to the car. I looked around for Olive. She wasn't close by. I wanted to ask the guards if they had seen her but I decided against it. I sighed. The guard opened the car door. I couldn't bring myself to enter was sure Olive came outside. But where can she be?. I was so concerned and wanted to be sure she's safe. "Ella, you should go in first. I need to check something out". She nodded. Just wait for me in the car"
I left the park and went to the garden. It was empty. I went to all the places I knew she likes to go to but she wasn't there. I returned to join Ella in the car and headed for the office.

"Welcome boss" Bethany greeted
I gave her one of my fake smiles. I wasn't in the mood to smile or chat with her but since it was my usual routine to speak to her before going to my office, I waited. "How was your night, Beth?"
She smiled. "Fine boss"
I sighed. "Any message for me?"
She nodded. "The representative from PK Plc came. They wanted to see you. But when I told them you were not on the seat and that they should wait for you to come. They said they were in a hurry. When they made to leave. Olive came in. She's attending to them already"
I batted my lashes. Olive was already at work?. And I had wasted my time finding her. I sighed. "Where are they now?"
"In your office"
I rolled my eyes. "You mean they are still in my office?". She nodded. "Thanks, Beth". To get to my office quickly enough, I used the elevator. I got to Olive work post but she wasn't there. I knew she was still in my office. I press the bell and the door opened.
Olive stared at me. "Some people are here tk see you"
I nodded. She moved aside for me to go in. Two men were seated. They stood up when they saw me. "Mr. Nolan?"
I walked close to them. I stretched my hand for a shake. "Yes. Nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too"
I walked to my seat and sat down. "Please sit"
They did. Olive pointed at the door. "I will be at my work post. If you need me". I nodded but said nothing. I watched her leave and then sighed.
One of the men whom I later find out to be Mr. Smart spoke up. "You came late"
I nodded. "I am so sorry for that. Got caught up in traffic" I lied
"We were in a hurry and were about to leave. But your assistant was able to keep us" the other man, Mr. Maxwell said. I rolled. Can't believe she did that for me.
"Remember she is here to help you" My subconscious mind.
"You've got not just a nice assistant and a very intelligent one," Mr. Smart said
I smiled. "My company is proud to have her here". They nodded. "Let's talk business"
Mr. Maxwell smiled. "Your assistant was able to convince us. We gave the contract to this company about thirty minutes ago". I batted my lashes. Olive was able to get them to give the contract?. That's strange?. "We were waiting for you to come so you could finalize the contract"
I furrowed my brows. "You talked about the price already?"
"Yes. We concluded on a hundred and fifty million dollars. We will give you a hundred million first so you can commence on the project"
I batted my lashes. How was Olive able to make them accept this?. I rolled my eyes. This girl is something else. I smiled. "If that is the case, I will call my assistant". I stood up and went outside. Olive was seated going through some files.
She stood up when she saw me. "You need me to do something for me?"
I rolled my eyes. Why is she acting so nice?. I sighed?. "I need you inside"
"You should have called me using the telecom"
I rolled my eyes. "Join me inside"
She nodded. I will clear my desk and join you. I ignored her and entered my office. Olive joined us in my office and we were able to finalize the contract.

I was seated on the balcony, legs crossed on a stool with a newspaper in my hand. Beside me were a bottle of blue wine and a glass cup placed on a stool. I was lost, reading the newspaper I was holding, and did not notice someone was standing beside me until I heard a cough. I raised my head. Olive was standing beside me. "Can I sit?" She asked. I shrugged but said nothing. "I will take that as a yes," she said and dragged one chair. She sat down. "We need to talk". I rolled my eyes. And gestured with my hand for her to talk talking. She sighed. "Why have you been avoiding me?"
I batted my lashes. Why is she suddenly asking me this?. "Nolan, I don't know why you are avoiding me. I wished I knew. You can just tell me whatever I have done and not avoid me"
I rolled my eyes. It surprised me to see Olive sitting beside me to tell me how she doesn't like me avoiding her. "Who asked you to do this?"
She furrowed her brows. "What are you talking about?"
I frowned. "Who asked you to come and ask me this question you just asked me"
She sighed. "Nobody did"
I scoffed. "Nobody did?. When did you become nice?. When did you come to people in situations like this?"
"Nolan..."
"Don't call me name!!" I yelled. "You want to know why I am avoiding you?. That's because you have no heart. You don't care about people!!!"
She batted her lashes. "I-i don't have a heart?. I don't care about people?" she asked
I stood up. "Yes you don't. The earlier you know it and change the better for you!!". Without waiting for her to say a word, I stomped into my room. Surprisingly, she followed me. I hissed. "What are you doing here?"
She sighed. "I-I just want to talk. I want us to talk"
I rolled my eyes and sat down on my bed. "We have nothing to talk about". She went on her knees and I widened my eyes. What is she doing?. "W-what are you doing"
She sighed."I-i am so sorry, Nolan. For everything. For not been caring, for not loving you. I am so sorry". I blinked. Is this Olive or there is a spirit living inside of her right now?. I stared at her. "I meant every word I said, Nolan. I hate the fact that you're avoiding me"
I rolled my eyes. Did she just say she hated the fact that I am avoiding her?. I thought we do that a lot. I thought we are cool with not talking with each other?. When did she become concerned with that?. I rolled my eyes. "Can you please stand up"
She shook her head. "You haven't told me if you have forgiven me"
I blinked. She wants me to forgive her?. "Olive..."
"Just tell me you have forgiven me". I rolled my eyes. I am so confused right now. I have never seen Olive apologize before. From her eyes, I could tell she was remorseful. I blinked. "I promise to change. I promise to be better. I promise to do anything you want me to do"
I sighed."I don't want you to do what I want. I want you to be yourself but be nicer". She nodded. "Does that means you have forgiven me?". I nodded and she chuckled happily. "Thank you"
"You should stand up"
She stood up. "Thank you". She pecked my cheek and I batted my lashes. "Do you want pineapple juice"? I nodded. "I will go get you a glass of pineapple juice". She left and I batted my lashes. This isn't the Olive I knew. Something is wrong!!.
