NOLAN
Olive kept staring at me while I drive. I felt so awkward and had to focus on the road. I was tempted to look at her and see why she kept staring at me that way but I changed my mind. I breathed a sigh of relief when I sighed the cinema some meters away. I turned the steering to the left. Finding my way to the parking lot, I brought the car to a halt and stepped out. I have to be a gentleman. So I turned to the other side and opened the door for her. She smiled. "Thanks"
I smiled back. We found our way into the cinema, after buying tickets and popcorn. "What kind of movie would you like?" I had asked
"Horror movie" she had answered
Now, we are seated in the front row, popcorn in our hands and waiting for the movie to start. "Are you sure you can watch horror movies?"
She chuckled. "Of course"
I chuckled too when I realized that was the dumbest question I have ever asked. She is a warrior. She had watched so many people die. She has killed so many people. Why would she be afraid of friction movies?. I sighed. That question is dumb. The movie started and I kept staring at Olive to see if she would show any sign of fear. She seems calm and natural. I rolled my eyes. Why has the moon goddess decided to give me a girl like Olive as a mate?. She isn't in any way girly. I rolled my eyes. "Do you like the movie?" She asked
I sighed. "It's nice". My attention wasn't on the movie. I never wanted to watch a movie either. I only wanted to spend some time with her. I wanted to study her and see what was wrong. Her attitude towards me in the last few hours wasn't something I used to. It was strange to me, to see her go on her knees and beg me. It was also a surprise she offered me pineapple juice and went as far as going downstairs to bring it for me. I sighed. I know there is something wrong somewhere and I will find out!!.

The movie came to an end and I stretched a bit. Olive had placed her head on my shoulder. It was surprising to me but I loved it. "She loves the ruthless alpha, remember," my subconscious mind said.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. I do know she loves the ruthless me and that is what makes it weird to see her acting all lovey-dovey around me. "Movie is over, Olive. Let's go home"
"Can we just stay like this for a while?" She asked. I rolled my eyes. "Please" she whined.
I sighed. "Thanks". She said and pecked my cheek. I widened my eyes in surprise and she chuckled. This is strange. I placed my hand on the cheek she had pecked and my wolf jumped up happily. It's a good thing for him to see our mate stay close to us. I smiled and touched her face. I moved my hand to her neck and moved her hair backward. I sighed. If she had not rejected me, I would have marked her right in that place and I won't have to worry someone else will calm her. I whined a bit. So many times I try to restrain myself from marking her forcefully. My wolf would whine anytime she comes closer to me. I rolled my eyes. It's good to see her getting freer with me than she used to. This is what gives me hope that one day, she will accept me as her mate and we will be able to complete the mating bond.

I brought the car to a halt. I realized Olive was fast asleep when we got home. While we were coming, her eyes were closed and I thought she was trying to rest. So when she tried to push back the hair covering her face and found it difficult to do, I helped her. I watched her sleep for a while and chuckled. She looks so cute when sleeping. "She is always beautiful, you know," my subconscious mind said
I rolled my eyes. Of course, I know she is. I touched her face. "Hey, wake up. We are home". She adjusted herself but kept her eyes closed. I groaned. "Sleepyhead. Wake up". I couldn't raise my voice, so I whispered. When I realized she wasn't going to move an inch. I sighed. The only option for me was to carry her. I stepped out so the car and turned around. I opened the door and lifted her carefully. She wrapped her hands around my neck. I either and walked towards the packhouse. Nigel, Bella, and Ella were standing by the door. They moved closer when they saw me. "Is she ok?" Ella
I nodded. "She is ok. She is asleep"
Ella sighed. "Ok"
"I thought you are not going to come back," Nigel said
I rolled my eyes. "I never said I wasn't going to come back"
He scoffed. "Well, to me it does look like you had no plan to come back"
"I was going to come back, Nigel. You know I don't sleep outside"
"Well I know you don't keep late nights"
"I still don't keep late night"
He sighed. "I just want you to be safe"
I sighed. "Thanks for your concern. And the sarcastic streak is well noted.
"Nolan, you should go in. Your hands will be aching and Olive won't feel comfortable if you keep holding her" Bella said
I smiled. "Thanks"

I sniffed the air, my eyes still closed. I could perceive barcon and egg. I opened my eyes slowly. The room was filled with an aroma. I sat up. A tray was on the table. I wondered who brought it. The door to the bathroom opened and Olive walked out in a black rope. I batted my lashes. She did not sleep here right?. I could still remember I took her to her room yesterday. "You're awake," she said
I rolled my eyes. What's she doing there?. She smiled. "I made your bath. I also brought your breakfast. I made it myself"
I blinked. Why is she doing all this?. "You shouldn't have bothered"
She smiled. "I wanted to do it". I sighed. "I will go back to my room and get ready for work". I nodded. "You can call me if you need anything"
"Ok". She left and I stood up to take my bath. When I was done, I wore a singlet and shorts and sat down to eat. I was halfway into the meal when I heard a knock. At first, I thought it was Olive. I wondered why she came back. I never told her I would be needing anything soon. "Come in". The door opened and Nigel walked in.
"Surprise to see me right?. I nodded. He sat down beside me. "You must have thought it was Olive"
"No, I did not" I lied
He chuckled. "I know you too well. I saw the disappointment on your face when I walked in"
I rolled my eyes. "Why are you here?"
"Well. I saw Olive in the kitchen so early this morning and I wondered what she was doing there and who she was making the food for. I suspected the food was for you but I wasn't sure. So when I saw her come out of your room some minutes ago, I decided to confirm if she brought the food here. My guess was right after all". I rolled my eyes. "You haven't told me what's going on between you two. Is there something I am missing?. Is there something I need to know?"
I sighed. "Nothing is going on between us"
He narrowed his eyes. "How am I suppose to believe that?"
"You have to believe me"
He frowned. "You want me to believe nothing is going in between you two?. With everything, I am seeing?. She was in your room yesterday. You went to the cinema together. She made food for you and even brought it to your room. How can you explain all that?"
I rolled my eyes. "I am as surprised as you are. Olive has been acting so strange. She asked for forgiveness yesterday and promise to turn a new leaf"
Nigel batted his lashes. "Y-you mean she asked you to forgive her?". I nodded. "And she promised to turn a new leaf?". I nodded. He sighed. "This is strange"
I nodded in agreement. This is strange. I still find it difficult to believe Olive was serious about turning a new leaf. Are attitudes since yesterday was surprising too. Seeing her in my room this morning and the fact that she made my bath and brought me food made me have a second thought. I just have to believe she has changed completely. Nigel sighed. "Don't you think she's acting weird?"
I nodded. "Of course. She is acting weird"
